SNL made fun of Hard Rain. Christian Slater was in jail at the time and was let out for the movie’s premiere. “After twenty minutes, he requested to go back to his cell.”
The opening of Ebert's Spice World response was funny because this review was at beginning of 1998 and he did write in his column in December that it was the worse movie.
I love how the makers of _Fallen_ have _such_ a low opinion of their viewers' intelligence that they just. keep. cutting. to the green demonic POV shot everytime someone gets possessed by the demon. as if it weren't obvious that the demon was being passed from person, both by established rules from dialogue and also, like, you know, how those people all have the creepy grin while saying the same sort of stuff. it could have been an interesting scene without the constant cuts to remind us what, exactly, was going on there.
I love Hard Rain , It's silly and preposterous..But it's fun. It was going to be released with the title The Flood and was delayed for over a yr. for an unknown reason with a 70m budget
And when we were all kids they just seemed like two old crusty dudes talking about movies. The world has gotten so PC and lame that by comparison these two feel like unfiltered mavericks.

"Do you need any talent to be in a movie?" The success of Adam Sandler movies demonstrate that quite well.
Sandler did have one good movie, The Wedding Singer. Otherwise, I agree. TgT
Who doesn’t like 50 First Dates?
@@promeitheus Kinda stupid, really....
Uncut Gems?
@@joejay4646 Never saw that.
Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms, yo!
Hard rain was actually a really fun 90s action movie, not bad
Lol stop

you can see Siskel's health really fading here.
He looks really pale and thin....
The Gingerbread Man is the only time I’ve heard Kenneth Branagh do a believable accent. And Ben Affleck was the BOMB in Phantoms, yo!

man they really did a real review of the spiceworld1!!!
I saw Fallen in the theater back then. I enjoyed it and still enjoy it now.

Sounds like neither of them understood the movie

I always wanted to watch it but never happened 😅
Well, at least the Spice Girls do not worry over Siskel & Ebert criticizing them.
Ginger was always my fav Spice Girl
Ben Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms
Gene shout out to Houston!😄
I am not even going to waste my time saying how bad Spice World was. Oh wait I just wasted 21 words.
Fallen is rip-off of Wes Craven's Shocker. Even the killer looks exactly the same.
Fallen is a good movie.
Agreed. Creepy as hell.
Don’t get copyrighted ok
Don't Jinx It
Ebert bringing up "good serial killer movies" like Silence of the Lambs. Pretty sure they both panned it.
Nah, just Siskel. Ebert gave it 3,5 stars.
The review is on here somewhere. Ebert must've re-rated. He hated the second half.
@@davidthieroff9452 Ebert liked it from his first review.
He did hate the second half, but he still thought the movie was great overall. He really only had a lot of dislike for the parts at the house.
They both liked Manhunter better as did I .....

But the Monkees were good. And so were the Spice Girls.
All 5 movies were terrible
prefab five
Fallen looks so stupid.
Must have been hard to fit Minnie Drivers giant head into frame in HARD RAIN.
