Stopping in to say thanks again to all the LEGO Island 1 fans for your kind comments. I can't respond to all posts, but the important question to answer is where the heck this stuff came from. Wes Jenkins, who created and ran the whole LEGO Island 1 project, passed away last year. His wife, Kyle Bogertman, who also played a large part in the game, collected all the archives from their collection and sent them to me. That's where all this material has come from. We're all glad that so many people have good memories of that very enjoyable project.
We appreciate this special game very much. I can't thank you enough [but ill try] 😉

At least this gives us a bit of insight to Captain Click when he was alive. Just imagine what this game would have been like if it was more like its original intent...

For like the first minute or so, I thought saying 'click' was the lego peoples' only method of speaking, in reference to the sound of legos being 'clicked' together. I was very confused and mildly freaked out.

this actually has the same energy as the game, with body parts even jumping off a bit, just like the game. though the game does look a bit better, but for 97, its impressive (i think). also did anyone else come from the LMW (lost media wiki)

@Tehya Brown yeah a lot of them are Lego Island reskins. Btw I have played the original game and it is great, raggedy around the edges but very fun.

I like how the characters move exactly like how lego should move, this technically predates the lego movie
I have a sweet shiver when I find Lego Island-related pieces. This series was a life for me. Old manual with the lore, GBC game, plans on "adventure" game, now this... Unfortunately I lost the biggest piece - Xtreme game, because running old PC games is a pain.
And to stupid jokes. Papa Brickolini, Bologna Roni, this guy with Brickster faces... It seems Pepper has three fathers. And now Brickster's phrase "I'm your father" makes more sense.

That transition to the Phanta Sea got quite complicated, mixed time signatures from 7/8 to 4/4 to 12/8. When confused, I just said "Aaarrr" like a pirate, gave up.
@Tehya Brown Hi Tehya, I was not present at all of the voice recording sessions but I was present at most of the rehearsals. To my recollection, in the earlier rehearsals, the chidrens' voices (there were numerous ones of course) were mostly done by Kyle Bogertman (wife of Wes Jenkins) and Tambourine Bancroft. As the project developed, June Foray, Christina Robbins and Ellen-Kate Whitcomb were added as voices for numerous characters including children. It sounds like Kyle did one of the childrens' voices on this ad, but I'm sorry to say that I can't be sure.

6289 Red Beard Runner (1996) and The boat from 6558 Shark Cage Cove (1997)! This is awesome!!! To think that there could have been these Pirates and Divers sets in Lego Island. It would have made the game even better.

as it what it looks in this ad a early concept of Pepper's dad certainly look like the brickster, but with some changes. mom looks ok some things has come to the final model of mama brickolini which made me think, what if papa brickolini isn't pepper real dad?, what if mama brickolini just had the baby pepper and then broke up with the brickster bcz she knew that a criminal dad wouldn't do well and then she met papa brickolini just to make pepper have a good dad, and could be reasonable why in lego island 1 and 2 they free the brickster cuz pepper just want his dad to have some good time and mama brickolini just want to see his ex husband once again while he do some chaos that aren't that dangerous cuz he just wanted to have fun by his methods and then when pepper solves everything that the brickster made, they actually are just saying in a metaphorically way "ok dad you already had fun but now it's time to come back."
Pepper is the adopted son of Mama and Papa Brickolini in the final story. Also the manual reveals Pepper's father is called Bologna Roni who just disappeared one day leaving Pepper an orphan

My pleasure, we had loads of fun doing it.
For the folks who know the game, here's the nerd stuff. We did this video in 3/4" Sony UMatic. Then I had to take it home and mix the music and sound effects. The timecode lock didn't work in my early version of Cakewalk, so I had to match it up second by second in real time. Major pain in the buttocks. But it got done, gosh darn it.

There is an open source project of lego island with remastered music but that is still not finished called project island.
They even have unused themes from the lego island game
