Because Glen was such a great vocalist, people didn't realize how great a guitarist he was. He was a most sought after session musician in his early days and a member of the legendary "Wrecking Crew".

There aren't many "mainliners" (aka TV show hosts) who will just go to harmony to support the guest. This was Glen's show and he did the harmony. Perry Como was another who had no problem doing harmony. Kudos to both Glen and Perry for their ultra professionalism.
