- Only as of September 2021 is it legal to import the Toyota Chaser in to the States, making this classic JDM sedan a rare sight to see here in California. We brought this 1JZ turbo packing 'yota back to glory with dry ice cleaning, a deep car wash, and paint correction.

Who knew that 20-30 years into the future, these cars would be more valuable and more saught after than the $100,000 cars of that era.
It’s a generational thing. All the 35-45 years old are buying these cars cuz we can afford them. And these were the childhood cars on our walls. I remember when my dad turned 40 back in late 90s The muscle cars were jumping high 50k-100k full restored. When a few years before they beer dirt cheap. In 15 years the newer civic type R, Ford ST and similar cars will do the same thing. Especially when EV will be more available.

100,000 cars you don't want to play with. These cars and cars alike are more creatively fun. They give more freedom of expression than a $100,000 cars ever can. I guess today's prices.

I'm from Siberia, we really appreciate these cars, in Russia they are famous for their reliability and quality. My father had such a Teaser, in the TOURER S version, a very good car
In 1997, I was an university student and dreamed to be a owner of this car. This car was very good looking in the Japanese touring car race series driven by Keiichi Tsuchiya.
What class do Chasers fall in? Are they Sports Sedans like an Aristo? Or are they just regular Full Size Sedans?
@@carsmusicandclothing7066 In 1997 and 1998, there was JTCC race series in Japan. 2.0L NA sedan based racing car only could join. Mr. Tsuchiya joined by ADVAN Chaser JZX100. I used to go to circuit to see his aggressive driving. Let me share video.

I love the Toyota Chaser.....they had the 2jz option in those ....total sleeper car and what a job you did detailng one of my top 10 cars to have of all time..
But, the 2jz in the Chaser wasn't the turbo version. The 1jz Chaser is the one to have.
But the car is wrong hand drive..

@@orangepeel2223 Mechanics and aftermarket turbos are for non-turbo 2jzs to be turbo charged. Sure🤷♂️You're also going to want the strong better transmission, LSD, chassis bracing, tuned steering, oil squirters, interior, etc.. from the 1jz Tourer V model.

Toyota Chaser was famous in Australia up into mid 2000s. I badly wanted buy one back then. They have become rare.

Obviously, it went right over your little head and most likely you don't know what it means anyway, They are RWD and AWD they are mostly RWD and his car is probably AWD it is just a reskin Camry with a 1JZ to 2JZ in it. Call me ignorant of a Toyota when I own a Sera imported from Japan and a previously owned 93 MR2 NA in the special Metallic light blue color the last year they made them in the USA. I drive a 450HP E46 sedan supercharged and mostly built by me so, looking cute ain't all that's going for me.

Качественно отмыли и полирнули, хорошо что качество лакокрасочного покрытия на старых машинах было прекрасное, а толщина большая. Я на своём Супербе 2019 года один раз сделал полировку,о второй меня слёзно просили забыть в будущем, так как ЛКП ничтожно тонкое.
Меня больше интересует чем это так отмыли днище?
Что за очиститель? Что это, как эта процедура называется???

Never seen one of these. I worked at Toyota dealership for 4 years an never herd of this car. But I do like it.
The paint is nice and tidy but I would like to see an interior detail on this nice looking car as well

У нас в Сибири только на таких и ездят))) При температуре в -40 цельсия заводятся без проблем. Еще есть такие машины как Toyota Mark 2, Honda Accord, у нас их просто куча

Авто хорошее, но вот некоторые детали по ржавчине, не знаю, не сильный спец, можно было бы и ......, есть и другие мнения не спорю. А в целом Чайзер машинка достойная. Да и движки у них !! Когда то владел Марк 2,две машинки. Крайнюю продавал со слезами по необходимости. 🔥

im crying as well back then i could have bough 2 with small loan ....now....most of them are in junkyards being parted from bad drivers and remaining survivors carry an insaaanee price tags ....since the internet has kinda unified for the price for the world market

It's funny we used to import so many of these into Botswana and East Africa. In East Africa that's no longer possible because of ban on import of vehicles older than 2008
