Beat Minerz are amazing and I feel never get the respect they truly deserve
super underrated
I remember they helped out on the Thats Them album from The Artifacts. Dj Evil Dee !
@@NomKarver Mr Walt produced some of my favorite songs for years and I only found out from reading the liner notes.
Evil Dee on "Soundbombing" was another gem. "Evil Dee is on the mix, come on kick it!"
95 was one of my favorite hip-hop years
94-96 was a changing of the guard
@@sebastienc.2257 yes it was raw grimy and real.
Man im cut between those three years,93-96 the best years of pure hip hop.
92 to 97 was the golden period my favourite year in the 90's was 93 and 96.
Production was crazy on this album
I've probably listened to this album over 100 times and I will never get tired of this. These drums aren't the most complex but they slap so hard. And beatminerz have always had dope basslines.
One if the darkest hip hop albums ever, my head's know what I mean
@@n.vanh.7666 I'm a woman am I low key crazy for loving this album ???.
Tru dat
Bucktown seems like a good track.
Your even more righteous for digging this!
One of my favorite albums ever
mine too
@@ChameleonHulk I loved it since I discovered it at someone's house in the 90's.
It's in my top 5
Not sure if anyone cares but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)
@Tomas Chris Yup, been using instaflixxer for years myself :)
"Wontime" & "Sound Bwoy Bureill" threw me off...all these years...never thought that was Funky President slowed down...and I thought Sound Bwoy was an old reggae song I never heard before....wow
Same here lol....
I thought the dialogue was sampled from a non existent movie I had been looking for 😁😁😁.
Funky president is the wontime drums. Climax blues band is the drums for sound bwoy burriel.
@@JOEYNOSEBEATS yooo you elite kid, im realizing they also sampling drums. Crazy
@@vaughnwalker1840 I'm very serious about wontime because I've been looking for the original loop they filtered. It's probably my favorite filter of all time. Everyone can list the break but not the loop.
Classic the Beat Minerz production skills is amazing. Mr. Walt and Evil Dee are legendary. This album was straight flawless.
Dwayne D yes indeed my friend! 👍
I didn't realize that james brown song was on here I have heard it on countless other tracks .
Don’t forget Baby Paul
I´m 44 years now and, once again, i freaked out, head nodding & dancing when "Hellucination" dropped after the original Minnie sample. Love that track, THE best example ever of using various S950 filter settings. Epic, epic album. This is forever.
I'm in tears
@@5822huron right this album was a beautifully crafted one the samples used were golden.
I will NEVER get tired of this LP.
For the culture!
Vinny Pagan You really need to do one on Slum Village's first 2 albums those are both undisputed classics, that would really amazing to see, and I know a lot of other people would love to see that as well. Also, you should really start to do a lot more of these on Detroit Hip-Hop artists, especially since Detroit's Hip-Hop scene doesn't really get that much credit at all.
Peace fam, gonna do a Slum Village episode next month for Dilla month.
Vinny Pagan Thank you man I honestly appreciate that a lot. Though like I said before you should also really start to do a lot more of these episodes on Detroit Hip-Hop artists, especially since Detroit's Hip-Hop scene doesn't really get that much credit at all, that would be really amazing to see.
Love this series love this episode
Would love to see a Lost Boyz legal drug money episode
also Tha Alkaholiks - Coast II Coast ?
Da Beatminerz took the "low end theory" to another level. The way filtered everything out samples except the drums and bass was amazing
This is one of my favorite albums of 1995.
This was in heavy rotation for about 5 years for me. It's timeless. Hip Hop perfection
*"WONTIME" IS A VERY DARK AND SINISTER SOUNDING TRACK . I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT UNTIL NOW .*
Rich Blak here..Thanks
Been waiting on this episode since Wax Only started! “Smif-N-Wessun in the joint wontime.”
I was ecstatic when I found it.
Raekwon and Smif and Wesson both made the same mistake. Moved on from their main production on the next album. I understand wanting to spread the love but those two classic albums by the Beatminerz and RZA are only bested by Illmatic in my mind. My top 3 albums.
General Steele is one of the best lyricist ever
He sure is I don't know why but it's something about his voice that sends me everytime.
@@n.vanh.7666 yes his flow just stimulates my eardrum I can't describe the feeling it's just crazy the same thing happened whenever I listened to buckshot.
@@musiclover-cn7tb love his voice
One of the best albums of the 90s!!
Isaac Hayes, Jack Bruce, Mandrill, Bobbi Humphrey, Roy Ayers, Ahmad Jamal, One Way, The Waters, Minnie Riperton & James Brown...Dah Shinin’ all about deep cuts, clutch samples & top notch production across the board.
I'm 26 and Just bought this Classic on Cassette Tape last year, Sounds Amazing......

one of the most amazing albums of all time. my soundtrack when I was 16
First time I heard the uncensored lyrics on Let's Git it On, even the regular album version censored the opening verse
Ain't nothing like vinyl
Oddisee Ali FACTZ!!!✊
I feel like crying when I listen to this album . It takes me back to 94 when everything and everyone else was for real . Mad 40's & blunts kid , riding around in the whip all night . Everything was just better and we had to grind out there .
The Sound Bwoy sample is crazy🤦🏾♂️🔥❗️
This album stayed in the rotation! Gotta pull this out again! 👍🏾💯 #iamdkhairho

The Roy Ayers cover and Smif-N-Wessun's cover? Wow. I bet when they saw that they was like "That's it, yo! That's our cover." Classic album, great musical journee.
Instead of Roy's eye it's Buckshot's...
Prah Eightsixty I think it’s Steele.
@@funkynigerian8886 I thought it was Steele's all this time please don't break my heart I never wanted that to be revealed!!! 😁😁😁.
@@praheightsixty8110 I always wondered whose pretty eyes those were I really did think it was Steele was it really Buckshot????.
@@funkynigerian8886 I always thought it was Steele's too don't tell me life has been a lie since 1995😁😁😁😁😁.
Good stuff
These muthafukas came with it! Their music was so damn dope~! It was great living through that time..nuff respect to OGC's, Black Moon, Beat Minerz and these kids! Head's aren't ready!

Enjoyed this all hip hop
Beatminerz!
14:20 man that song
also worth mentioning Digable Planets - Borough Check who's also using this sample
These milk creates got me going nuts ! Vinny really knows his original's . You really have to be a genius to know exactly where a beat comes from when you here it . I love hop the same way . We don't get no more milk creates .
Cet album est mythique...Les instrus sont d'une autre dimension.
