Actually I think this is what a "talk show /guest show" should be. Letting the guest talk. You don't see this very often. Specially with Conan and jimmy Fallon (don't get me wrong, I like theirs shows... But sometime, if not always, they just don't let their guests talk)
That's the sign of a good chat show host. You let the guest be themselves and just chip in occasionally to either prompt the story further or to lead the conversation a certain way and quite often you get chat show gold. Graham Norton does that style brilliantly. If you want a straight talking interview you go to the shows which are more serious in tone.
