Poise isn't fine the way it is, it has to exist in the first place for it to "be." The Wolf Ring's description may as well say "Occupies a ring slot." It doesn't have to be DS1- or DS2-like, but it needs to do *something.* Right now it's just a number on your character sheet while you get stunlocked by a dagger. Even from a PvE standpoint it's in a terrible place. In full Havel's (as an example) trying to cleave the three rats in the sewer of Undead Settlement but getting interrupted each time is a joke.
+C Smith Look being able to ignore a hit when doing nothing defensive is not a good stat. If its a enhancement to hyper armor OK. But havel katana users or with bestocs is even more cancer.
+SmashEdit Estoc Bestoc and other similar stabbing weapons are only broken because poise doesn't work. If poise did something, then you'd be able to take the hit and attack them back instead of just standing there like an idiot and doing nothing until you die.

what I don't understand is how you always seem to get away easily out of an attack by rolling but you ALWAYS catch up when the other players try to roll away from you???

as someone who uses that weapon on their main character, I had the same fucking reaction. it's r1 and r2 are unparriable when two handed as far as I know, so it makes no sense that the weapon art can be parried
Fool Izanagi I had a similar reaction when somebody parried the L2 on my Dragonslayer spear. that one makes sense at least, since it can be parried normally, but I was definitely caught off guard

Mad props for putting in the time to figure these builds out, but I have to say that this is just sad. Still haven't finished all the single player fun, but after seeing this, I'm glad that it's taken me a while to get around to PVP. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Being able to be stun-locked from full health to RIP in basically one move is no basis for a PVP environment. Not sure how you can even feel proud about winning a fight against someone who never had a chance in the first place. Guess the PVP is designed from people who want to artificially inflate their egos this time around. I really hope that FROM adjusts this so PVP doesn't turn into a game of who can get the first shot..... Example: 15:35 - You know there is a balance issue when someone with your skills has a reaction like this to someone else "knowing" of a move.
This video should be called "R1 --> Weapon Art Spin Combo Insta-Kills" instead of "Darkmoon Funblade". Not your fault Oro, I'm blaming From for letting this glaring balance oversight slip through. Essentially you just have to land a single R1 to kill another player and win a duel. It's rather reminiscent of the hackers in Ds1 & Ds2 who mod their weapon to instantly kill with one R1. The only difference is that you can't even parry that Spiked Mace... I still believe in From's ability to patch things up though, the other games had balance hiccups like this at launch I should think.

It's less about the buff and more about the 4 hit combo off landing a single R1 that does far, far more damage than every other weapon's simple R1 ---> R1 combo. The Spiked Mace is the primary offender not any dual weapon because of its reach and the fact that the combo cannot be rolled out of once you land that single initial R1 (I tested it with a friend) No other weapon has a comparable combo with the same degree of ease of use/access and damage (enough to 100 to 0 most opponents) as this at the moment. The bleed on the Spiked Mace is just a bonus.

as someone who uses that weapon on their main character, I had the same fucking reaction. it's r1 and r2 are unparriable when two handed as far as I know, so it makes no sense that the weapon art can be parried
Fool Izanagi I had a similar reaction when somebody parried the L2 on my Dragonslayer spear. that one makes sense at least, since it can be parried normally, but I was definitely caught off guard

Mad props for putting in the time to figure these builds out, but I have to say that this is just sad. Still haven't finished all the single player fun, but after seeing this, I'm glad that it's taken me a while to get around to PVP. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Being able to be stun-locked from full health to RIP in basically one move is no basis for a PVP environment. Not sure how you can even feel proud about winning a fight against someone who never had a chance in the first place. Guess the PVP is designed from people who want to artificially inflate their egos this time around. I really hope that FROM adjusts this so PVP doesn't turn into a game of who can get the first shot.....

Not your fault Oro, I'm blaming From for letting this glaring balance oversight slip through. Essentially you just have to land a single R1 to kill another player and win a duel. It's rather reminiscent of the hackers in Ds1 & Ds2 who mod their weapon to instantly kill with one R1. The only difference is that you can't even parry that Spiked Mace...
I still believe in From's ability to patch things up though, the other games had balance hiccups like this at launch I should think.
+Joshua Nielsen If you're this worried about these weapons then you can either throw a duel talisman at them or wait the buff out. Not to mention the gotthards (the best twin weapon) doesn't combo from r1 to l1 or l2.
It's less about the buff and more about the 4 hit combo off landing a single R1 that does far, far more damage than every other weapon's simple R1 ---> R1 combo.
The Spiked Mace is the primary offender not any dual weapon because of its reach and the fact that the combo cannot be rolled out of once you land that single initial R1 (I tested it with a friend)
No other weapon has a comparable combo with the same degree of ease of use/access and damage (enough to 100 to 0 most opponents) as this at the moment. The bleed on the Spiked Mace is just a bonus.
Oh, additionally the weapon art on the Spiked Mace costs so little FP that I was able to use it roughly a dozen times off of only 10 attunement.

You could consider the Estoc a "Noob Killer" weapon if you would. But here´s the kicker. The Estoc is very commonly used by noobs against other noobs. And they accomplish a very good winrate by only spamming the same button over and over again in a predictable manner without strategy.
