I prefer Plantronics because the voice is more clear, soft especially the noise reduction. But from my experience the EPOS Sennheiser ADAPT 165 is better in term of natural of MIC especially with the level of noise reduction in the same price range follow up with Plantronics. But I frequently more use Plantronics due to the comfort for longer use.
Good review! Based on your video, both are decent sets. To my ears the Plantronics cancelled more background noise (ie less background noise was introduced into the recording), but the mic on the Jabra sounded slightly "clearer" (though your voice was nice, clear and intelligible using both headsets). Given the choice, I'd choose the Plantronics headset. Not only is it cheaper, but it had better background noise rejection whilst still picking up your voice clearly.
Thanks for this review, you covered the core thing and with a natural flow. I found the sound of plantronics better because the sound tone through this is softer with little bass, comforting to ear and also better noise cancellation.
Hi Paul, Nice video and I learn a lot. I like the Plantronics because you can't hardly hear the TV. On the Jabra I still hear it. We have a small call centre with 10 agents and we have issue when agents are talking at the same time the background noise is noticeable by the customer. We will try these headset thank you..
Hey Paul just wanted to let u know this review is exactly what I’m looking for. I didn’t know I needed a foam cushion until I saw your vid cuz I too hated the heat trapped in leatherette cushion. I just bought the upgraded poly 3320. You can check it out too.
The noise cancellation is always on! I was recording from other microphones and was switching between sounds in video editing to demonstrate the difference in sound
You're welcome. Good question! It is actually *always* activated. How I demonstrated the sound difference was by switching to to the other microphone during video editing
@@RealPaulKearney just got a Jabra 2400 ii and I was looking for videos as my company sent it to me for work. It should be even better sounding as it's a higher end set.
Its a nice video... first time saw your review video and liked you covering small pieces.. I myself is looking for WFH headphones with good mic.. as i have lot of background noise bcz of a dog and entire family moving around
Logitech h800 although a very old model, are still one of the few (the only one I know of) wireless non-bluetooth options out there. Actually they support bluetooth but just as an addition to their RF wireless connectivity via a USB dongle.
@@RealPaulKearney the wireless signal gets bad if you move between rooms though. And the battery lasts only 6hr. I modded them and inserted a larger battery and I can live with the signal limitations, but its definitely something to have in mind.
Hey Ramon, I haven't used the Jabra Evolve 20 before, but I would guess that it would sound similar to the Jabra BIZ that I did the demo with (only guessing because it's the same manufacturer). If that were the case, then it depends what you thought of the sound difference in my demo.
I would assume that they'd have the same noise cancelling capabilities since I think it's a step up from the one I did a demo of 👍 I would buy it today if I needed a new headset
I don't have too much experience with mics. I just wanted to share my experience with these ones. I personally think the Jabra one in this video should work really well at Starbucks or the pub. I still use it more than the Plantronics even though I have both here with me now. The Plantronics is the one that broke, the Jabra is the one that doesn't seem like it will break! My apartment here can get really noisy, but in a Zoom or Skype call, the participants will always get perfect sound from my Jabra mic and never complain of the noise here.
The noise cancellation is always on, but I was recording from a couple of different sources to show the difference in sound, then video edited in the toggling
@@RealPaulKearney Thanks! Looking forward to buy a ANC device. My main concern during video conferencing on zoom is my pet. She is always by my side and barks over the slightest of sound.
Spent a few hours looking for a good review of headsets with noise cancellation mics. This mate is what I was looking for. Thank you.
Glad I could help!

I would go for Plantronics 3220 as that's entry-level for me and I do stream sometimes too so this is ok for me. Thanks, Paul for the review!
Nice review. Thanks!
This was helpful, thanks!
Good review! Your analysis was very helpful, thank you very much.

Great review Paul! How do you turn on/off the Noise Cancellation setting for both headsets?

Thanks for your video. How did you activate the noise cancelling in the jabra headset??

How's the sound quality between the two?. Which do you think has louder volume when you are In a call?
The Jabra definitely sounds louder and you can hear the sound quality in the video as I described 👍

What application did you use for noise cancellation? is it Krisp?
The headsets did the noise cancellation on their own. I'd never even heard of Krisp until now since you mentioned it!
Where did you plug-in the plantronics? Mac or windows laptop?
Windows 😊
very good review. thanks a lot!
best video on youtube. I can't find better
Wow, thanks!
I got a headset microphone from Ez Voice because I love singing.

Hey Paul, which has a better noise cancelling feature for mic between Jabra Evolve 20 and Plantronics Blackwire C3220?
Hey Ramon, I haven't used the Jabra Evolve 20 before, but I would guess that it would sound similar to the Jabra BIZ that I did the demo with (only guessing because it's the same manufacturer). If that were the case, then it depends what you thought of the sound difference in my demo.

Is it good enough to give class online in a pub or Starbucks?
I haven't personally tested in those environments, but based on my experience I really think it would work very well to cancel out the noise

This plantronic is good because it has more bass. The Jabra has mo HISSING. which is so annoying and damaging to the ear.
Also to add. This headset ismostly been use in call center in Philippines. My.last job. We are using this.one.
I liked the sound of Plantronics better.
how do you toggle the noise cancelling? on and off?
