Great review. I got the Jabra 65 and it works great. A few thoughts for folks researching and considering the premium and my recommendation of why I'd pay the extra if you can afford it - not for you, but for whom ever you are communicating with... My rational is for those that need more than a good headset, but that need a good microphone is you are going to be doing as much talking as listening. The reason is because of the technology built into the noise cancelation feature of your microphone. You can only assess easily the functioning of the noise cancellation of the headset which is great. Whomever you are talking to is the only one that can really effectively assess the value of that same feature within the microphone. Due to Covid I just finished spending 9-10 hours a day working from home on video and audio calls all day long back to back. My biggest pet peeve after 5 months is that folks have not figured out how to optimize their audio coming from their microphone. These headsets solve for that - Jabra better than most. I've started doing sound checks at the beginning of calls to ensure my setup is working as well as to prompt others to ask and give them feedback when theirs isn't. I give it a letter grade from A = I hear you perfectly like you are standing right next to me AND nobody else is in the room making noise. B = I hear you ok, but I can also hear background noise. C = I can hear you, but the echoes or background noise makes it hard to focus on what you are saying. D = REALLY Struggling to follow. F = I'm hanging up now! There are a ton of folks in the work from home situation that have background noise - others in the household, barking dogs, traffic going by the house. Technology really has solved for this with the noise cancellation features built into the microphone. If you are on a lot of calls and trying to communicate and that communication is important I really suggest making the investment if you can afford it. You might not directly notice it since you don't hear what you say, but those that you are trying to communicate with are the ones that will truly appreciate it. Just thought that add might be helpful to the great video demonstration of it. If you can't visualize and hear it in this video - try a few others that really focus on the Microphone function - Jabra's videos in particular are really good at letting you hear it before you make the big purchase since that is one of their differentiators. ua-cam.com/video/rKGoTIf9UWE/v-deo.html is another quick short one to illustrate the point.

Thank you for this! I'm currently testing a bunch of microphones on various devices and am looking for as many mic recordings as I can find. On that note, I think it would be helpful if you recorded the same phrase on each mic'd device that you're testing. Some of the "Harvard sentences" would work (e.g. "The ripe taste of cheese improves with age."). It would be nice to hear them one after the other without anything else in between. In fact, an even shorter sentence might be best for that: "Please subscribe" "Please subscribe" "Please subscribe" and so on. Price and feature data are generally available at retailers, so useful and consistent real world tests are uniquely helpful. Finally: to see how far we've come over the years, it would be neat if you recorded the same test sentence with and without the same background noise (a certain song/recording playing over a certain speaker at a certain distance in the same room) so that in a few years you could release a recording of a hundred different mics/headsets and show the evolution of different products. Thanks again friend! Great stuff!
Thanks for the great review! The Plantronics Voyager Focus has been for the last few years my go to headset. It does have a big flaw though and that is that the black plastic headband cracks, or even breaks between a year or two of use. This is a known problem and has happened to me on three different sets. The only reason I keep ordering a new one is that they're the only headset that I know of that does what I need and I've tried many headsets. Call quality, comfort, sound, and noise cancelling are very important to me and the Voyager Focus does all these really well. It's just too bad that they're so fragile. I think I'll give the Jabra Evolve 75 a try.
Thanks for your comments. Do you know if any of the cheaper Plantronics headsets are any good? I'm looking for more budget-friendly headset for a handful of business call each week

But on the laptop there's always this buzzing noise, and when I filter the noise my voice loses all character, it sounds thin (and still doesn't eliminate all the buzzing)
(I assumed you're talking about one of the headsets in this video) Maybe you should try plugging the headset into a different port on your laptop, try restarting it, or if none of that works, see if you still have the same issues on another computer. That's the best basic troubleshooting advice I can give, otherwise, you could just try doing calls on your phone instead, or you may just have to google that one, sorry!

As far as that specific issue in your ears getting uncomfortable, they are both pretty comfortable to wear, maybe the Jabra has a bit more padding, but otherwise I'd pick based on the features, and more specifically which amount of money you'd like to spend.
Hi, I have a kid at home and he makes a lot of noise. Do these headphones cancel out his noise and ensure that only my voice is heard in the call ? Thanks for the review
I know the Plantronics does. Review microphone noise cancelling for this feature. The Voyager has this. Check standalone reviews. Not sure about the Jabra but I’d bet it does.
You can check the test that I did in the video (roughly the 2nd half of it), where I tested the mics with moderately loud noise a few feet from the mic and can hear how it sounds to you. I personally think both mics cancel out the noise well, maybe even the jabra ones better, but either way they both do the job!👍

@@TechtrovertDo you know of any mic noise cancelling that work on a mobile phone? I'm not sure why this isn't more common. Who makes a call on their pc?
I would suggest the Jabra headset then, as it does have slightly better noise cancelling in my opinion, and may be a little more comfortable to wear depending on the user. They both have pretty good sound compared to each-other at least, so if you're willing to pay for the Jabra's, I'd say go for it!

I just kept it right on my collar to keep it close, and then right-into my phone! You should also be able to do this into your computer as well, though.
Just ordered the Evolve 75 UC from work which is the model they offer for dual cup, the Plantronics is a single ear on our catalogue, hopefully be good. My Sony XM4’s are fine for VOIP Zoom calls but when I want to make a sales play video I wanted something with better voice audio
I definitely agree with this, but I don't think I was nervous. I'm pretty comfortable, but I don't like the limitations of certain review videos like this for my personality. Good thing I'm coming back to YT soon with some bigger than ever videos that represent me better than ever. ;-)
Thanks, you helped me with selecting the right headset, thinking I will go with Plantronics. The ease of being able to swap directions is important and I can just hit my mute button which is just as easy...doesn't make sense to pay extra for that feature and not a whole lot of noise here...so Plantronics gets my buy! Also seems to be better ear comfort for long calls. Subscribing... thanks again
How is the plantronics mic going for you. Haven’t watched the video yet but I want a new headset for my birthday and am considering my decision after this video.
Jabra is OVERPRICED plastic childsplay GARBAGE, Plantronics is where your money should go... I have ONE issue the random "open mic" can NEVER get into mute SUPPPER FRUSTRATING??
on a fast pace $$ales environment we cannot avoid kudos and screams and it is TERRIBLE! when you are talking about price , disclosures..arrrrrrrrghhh I'd pay whatever they charge me for a gianormous obnoxious alien alike super high quality sound where it all sounds like ...XBOX..can I use a game one on my company's landline?
I'm sorry, but you need to be more clear and follow some outline, to be more clear. you mumble and stumble. The best part was the actual performance test, but you blew through that too quickly and not clearly. In the end, I didn't learn. you failed. but you look smart, so I'm sorry to say that, and you should just try to improve your presentation. Then you will be really good.
Thanks for all of the tips! I actually just posted a new comparison video today, which compares usb microphones (not sure if you're into those), but if you'd like to, let me know if I've improved since this video, or what else I need to improve still!
I actually preferred real person opinion instead of too well-prepared presentation that just be I think this be better than very well prepared top professional kind of presentation.

Best of luck to you! Glad I could help you out.👍
The lav mic sounds great how do you get such a great sound with it? Do you connect it with 3.5mm to computer?
I just kept it right on my collar to keep it close, and then right-into my phone! You should also be able to do this into your computer as well, though.
After spending xx days looking for a better review for this 2 headphones ... This is the best review i saw so far ..
thanks for this
My pleasure 😊, glad I could help.
Well done! Thank you
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 👍 Always a pleasure to be of service 🙌😊
Thoughts on the Jabra Evolve2 65?
You'd have to google that one! Sorry
Can you use this for gaming? Surround sounds?
I wouldn't say that these are built for gaming, they obviously have directional left and right hearing, but further than that is unlikely.
Thanks for the review going with plantronics
You bet, glad I could help!
Nice vid
Want some leMoNaDe
Great review. Keep it up..
Nice reviews...planning to go with Jabra.
Good reviews.
Please stand still. You tend yo jeep moving back and forth. It's off putting.
Great, hope this helps then!
Thank you!!!
I personally will go with the jabra
Alright, great!👍 So glad I could help you out!
Good job dude
Thanks for the kind words!😁

price: $300
me: then why did i watch this 👁️👄👁️
XD, Make sure to check-out some cheaper headset-reviews I've got instead then :), these work headsets do get pretty expensive IMO as well...
subbed :)
Great comparison... last video I watched before buying one of these.
Great to hear! Hope I can keep helping you with all of my videos, let me know any of your questions! (if you still have any)👍
Which did u buy?
@@bookssssss Plantronics. Very satisfied!
so which one?
Plantronics may have a better bang for your buck, but that's up to you.
Can you stand still and stop swaying around
If only I could contain the energy. I'm not the best at this, and likely is part of the reason I'm into my next channel venture! Coming soon...
What's with all the bobbing and weaving? Got sea-sick watching this. ;-)
I definitely agree with this, but I don't think I was nervous. I'm pretty comfortable, but I don't like the limitations of certain review videos like this for my personality. Good thing I'm coming back to YT soon with some bigger than ever videos that represent me better than ever. ;-)
Is there mute feature?
Yes, on the Plantronics, it has a little button on the top of the mic for this, and the Jabra one auto-mutes when you flip the microphone up.
Glad I could help! Hope to be of more assistance!
How is the plantronics mic going for you. Haven’t watched the video yet but I want a new headset for my birthday and am considering my decision after this video.
What is the music?
Guess we'll never know.... 🤔
This guy: I know you have short attention span . . .
Proceeds to have a long intro 🤦🏽
I like your decent accent
good review
Thanks!
you should do one with barking
As in a sound test with barking?

too much rush, try learning talking that way so people would be captivated by what you're saying
Here I find jabras almost 2 times cheaper then plantronics. are plantronics worth it, hmm
Where did you find the cheaper Jabra's? As far as the headphones I compared, these ones specifically-the Jabra's are much more expensive.
i remember puberty....
He's sponsored by Jabra obvious
Totally
Jabra is OVERPRICED plastic childsplay GARBAGE, Plantronics is where your money should go... I have ONE issue the random "open mic" can NEVER get into mute SUPPPER FRUSTRATING??
Are you filipino?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
on a fast pace $$ales environment we cannot avoid kudos and screams and it is TERRIBLE! when you are talking about price , disclosures..arrrrrrrrghhh I'd pay whatever they charge me for a gianormous obnoxious alien alike super high quality sound where it all sounds like ...XBOX..can I use a game one on my company's landline?
It is unbelievable how crapy both sound!
I do also have a clip mic like yours , cost 6$ beats 95% of ALL headsets
Please STOP MOVING during talking!!! Are you so nervous?
Tweek
rocking is distracting
Ang cute mo
I'm reminded of Gordon Ramsey. When he talks he moves a lot, maybe too excited.
I found it boring.I literally slept.
Maybe you'd be more interesting in my new channel coming out? (coming soon! 😊)
