- Bill Baker presents these rare videos uncut from U-matic broadcast tapes, enjoy these classic videos from the former collection of Bill Baker...."It's Over Now" and "INSANE". I still have Ace's pants, boots, and the Jimi Hendrix shirt he gave me seen in "Insane"..Bill B
I feel like I am the only person on earth that loves "It's Over Now." It is just a terrific constructed hard rock ballad. I am actually surprised it never became more of a hit.
pretty much a night ranger b side
I agree with you 1000%!!! I freakin love that song
Excellent Song. It is not just you.
@@usdave2115 it sounds exactly like Night Ranger.
@@usdave2115 You’re a Wham B side
Love Ace in Comet. Even being a big celebrity, he did not pull the blanket on himself and gave Todd Howarth the opportunity to realize his talent
I admire the fact that Ace actually tried to make Frehley's Comet about the band and not simply about him, but c'mon. When you got Ace no matter what you do, people want Ace.
And he pretty much said that very thing recently, that it was a futile attempt because of his fame. To some extent, I feel that way about KISS, no matter what they do, people want ACE.
But of course everyone wants an Ace in their Deck. 😎
@@charlessarmiento4142 Word.
Thank you. Space Ace ain't no hired gun . This song is just blah!!!
Is this Howarth's Comet...I could be wrong...lol...it was nice to see Ace make an appearance in one cut scene in the video, especially when he didn't even do the solo...Lol
This song brings back memories of my old girlfriend. To hear this song in 2024 makes me wonder how shes doing today.I hope she is doing well and shes happy.❤👍🏻
I like that Ace went to work in his star covered pajamas.
DanR67
Are those the same ones he wore in the live DVD?
Tod Howarth is a great musician and songwriter with a huge vocal presence. I didn't appreciate his talent as much in my teen years when the Frehley's Comet Albums came out because I was obsessed with Ace/KISS but I'm blown away by his talent now!
RIP John Regan. You will be missed.
Tod Howarth is amazing...
he can sing, play keyboard and guitar very well.
just for who likes good musicians.
Ace's 80's fashion sense fared better than his ex-bandmates. >_
ACE rocks! He is a living rock guitar LEGEND, who inspired millions around the world to pick up a guitar and play! His riffs and lead work (especially with KISS) are timeless!
great band , deserved more success
Todd has a awesome voice. This should have been number 1 on the charts
@Coogan Bieber fan huh
@Coogan that was was good enough to be number one. Just kiss or ace songs never got radio play. And yes the album didn't do very good but it don't mean that the songs are not good. Todd's songs were awesome
Having a great voice doesn't help this tune. Sounds like a religious singer to me.
I bought all of Ace's solo albums on cassette tape brand new and still have them to this very day. 👍🥰 I remember tearing out the advertisement for Ace Frehley's Trouble Walkin' album that debuted and hung that on my bedroom wall along with other Kiss pinups I had back in 1989-91'. I loved Ace Frehley while he was in Kiss (the reunion was just a rumor back then but hadn't come to fruition). Everything back then for me growing up was simple not complicated like it is today with technology, (albeit it does have both good advantages bad about it). We got by with hand-me-downs, had massive collections that cost a dime a dozen to procure and dubbed cassettes of our favorite bands. The 80's were exciting. I especially love that Ace gave Todd the mic and let him do the lead vocals on Its Over Now. It became an instant favorite of mine when I heard it. 😉
Love Tod's voice and of course the beautiful brunette in this... what a great ballad!
Always wondered who she was...as a youth I was enamored...more so now approaching 50
The lady was his real girlfriend at the time from what I read ( forgot her name)...of course years later nothing lasts and they broke up
@@windwarattack2300 Thanks for the info. Didn't they make a lovely couple!
there is an innocent simplicity to his voice that works magic miracles on me
Damn...what an underrated song/band!
How was his solo during this time wasn’t bigger?? This song has always rocked!
Second Sighting is a great Ace record. Still have my original CD and Casette
Just saw Ace in Rome NY....he has a great group of guys backing him and at 73, he puts on a decent show.
If you appreciate Ace for who he is, he is worth seeing.
I'm going to share this with Tod he'll be happy it still exists and people enjoy it! myself included :)
I loved the 2 songs...after Kiss , having made his own way with this band demonstrates Ace's talent...
LOVE Insane. In the set every time my Ace tribute plays
Izzy Presley ACK !!
I'm in the Insane video ;o). Fun memories!
Hard to pick you out Mimi, which nurse were you?
love it all
Can you point yourself out Mimi?
The video shoot looked like a fun time....Sheesh it's hard being a rock star.
@@awilliam_3 6:27
Niiiiiice Nurses!
0:28 Eddie Trunk.....
Words Are Not Enough....
One of my favorites before heading to the clubs! 🤟
At 0:28 that's Eddie Trunk walking next to Ace with the briefcase!
Yup!!! It is!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I had hair like that back then!!
Ace with a whammy bar... don't see that often.
The reason why he stopped using it, he said it made him "Lazy"
Much less on a whammy bar on s Les Paul!
@robert proctor First of all, where did I state that he used them in the Kiss days?
He said it in a 1995 interview he did for Guitar World and he was talking about the Frehley's Comet days.
He was talking about the endorsement deal he had with the Washburn guitar company which resulted in him using Laney Amps and even having a signature model guitar which looked cool but sounded terrible.
He had his primary live guitars fitted with Washburn "Wonderbar" systems because they didn't require any routing but after the "Trouble Walkin'" tour had them removed because they made him "Lazy"
@robert proctor Yes, and those whammy bars were, as I said Washburn Wonderbar systems, which do not require routing to be fitted, he had his Sunburst and Black Les Pauls fitted with those and used them as such during the "Trouble Walkin'" tour but had them removed later because as he himself stated, they made him lazy.

As in he used them too much and in doing so sacrificed that typical Ace Frehley vibrato.
Todd Howarth is one hell of a song writer!!!! What a great song!!!
Maybe, but Ace wrote this one.
Todd Howarth wrote It’s Over Now. Ace wrote Insane.
got to give it to ace he gave his band a lot of freedom on this song .btw great song of its time
Gotta love that the video for “Insane” was a jab at the KISS video “Ah All Night “! And when Ace does the teardrop thing as a jab to Paul Stanley doing it in the video for “Tears Are Falling”!
Never heard this before. Very good songs!
That Insane video is INSANELY GOOD !!
Me too, I do love this song 💖 it takes a special place in my ❤.🎉🤟💫
Great songs...Take me back to my 80s !
Cheesey ol videos, taking me back! Ace is the man!
Insane! Best video EVER IMHO!
6:43 This always made me smile.
loved "comet". seems he did just fine on his own.....the 78 solo really impressed me.
Great song ❤
A few years ago I came across some new Tod music on Spotify and it ROCKED!!!!!!
Ace got a lot of mileage out of those Pants
R.I.P. Jamie
What a great song by great band!!
Wow! I'm going to find these 3 now!!! Thnx for reminding me...ACE!
Todd, reminds me of Robin Zander.
This stuff brings back memories
Wow...this is really good. And I never heard it before.
Its over now vai profundo no coração algo quase que divino melodia magica..
e a modelo do videoparece uma vizinha minha muito linda
AWESOME, Bill !!!!!! I haven't seen either of these clips for YEARS !!!!!!
I like ACE's singing voice better than Gene and Pauls combined!!!!
Their all good singer's but love Ace
It's the strangest thing, Ace has no real vocal technique and yet sounds so f**king listenable.
Maybe it's cos he's a Taurus!
WOW ! Love this song. Well done guys.
Ace Frehley will rule in my world 4ever
I've always loved Ace as a guitarist.
I love the COMET!
never saw these on Mtv ; (
I feel like I may have seen the Insane one 1-2 times?
I love this.
ACE in 80,s metal mode cool i love his 3 pickup les paul with floyd rose fitted that is an awesome guitar
Yeah, loving this! God bless Ace!
Great voice!
thanx 4 sharing
I admire Ace, he always has stuck to his roots, he never got into the trends, like other guitarist, his style has always been the same. During this period every guitarist seemed to play like buzzing bee, not Ace, just played his style.
JENDALL714, never got into trends? Never changed? You don’t much about Ace Frehley. For starters, what about the whammy bar in this video?
@@Dr.Jekyll I know it. I was reading that comment, and no offense intended towards the guy.... but did he play the video with the sound off ? LOL
@@Dr.Jekyll if you really factually know anything about Ace and his rig you would know he used a Floyd VERY BRIEFLY. He said verbatim "what I found was using the tremolo was weakening my natural vibrato with my fingers". He used it very briefly and then has NEVER used a Floyd again. The wankers you come across on UA-cam.
@@williambroadstreet3353, you’re proving my point and disagreeing with your previous comment.
Todd Howarth was a great singer.
He still is.
Catherine Cheek Todd is da man!! It was a great idea to have him sing the melodic songs.
Catherine Cheek is a great singer check out 4 by fate
I got to meet Todd on the first Frehley's Comet tour and he was so cool. Much cooler to fans than Ace was...That's probably why this band wasn't as huge as they could have been.
Great song and first listen. Love Ace
ACE FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful songs!!!!!!
My God I love this man! Ace was so HOT in this vid! Yes, I still have the hots for the man-have since 1975! Rock on ACE!
Excellent song, Todd Howarth great singer!
Música com identidade do Frehley, harmonia muito interessante, like a Van Halen! Muito bom!
Wow!! You couldn't get away with what they did in the "Insane" video, today!!! 😂😂😂
Very good lineup!
Great song!
GREAT SONG PERIOD!!
thanks man !
Je m en lasserai jamais, j adore sa voix , son style Ace is good 💙👍
Fine song with great vocalist.
Shane he wasn't a front man in the Coverdale mode, his voice kills.
Ace looking strong and confident, modestly allowing Howarth the first solo. Not many would tolerate that. No ego problems.
Ace Frehley Rocks 4Ever, & God Bless Ace, The One, & Only Space Man 4Ever.
I Salute You Ace Frehley, Mr Space Man, & I Always Enjoy Your Music at All Times.
Amazing , the true rock
Tod Rocks it Ace Rocks John Regan great band !
Wow. That's an INSANE amount of hot Nurses in that Insane Video Ace ! Hahaha.
AREN'T MOST GENIUSES CONSIDERED INSANE
ACE IS A TRUE GUITAR GOD 🎸🎸🎸🎸👽👽👽👽
Second Sighting was the first studio album I got from Frehley's Comet and I loved it. A few weeks later I got the first studio album Ace Frehley Frehley's Comet album and loved that album even more. There are many songs that I still love from Second Sighting but they are Ace's songs. The Todd songs did not really age well for me but there are a few I still like such as Something Moved and Fallen Angel.
Another great song. Man, Ace--you sure can write 'em. Very cool.
AMAZING TOD HOWARTH AND THE WHOLE BAND 🔥#realmusic
Killer tracks both
ace is god!!! ace is kiss!!!
You know, sometimes you have to listen the song a few times before you like it. I didn't like it the first time I heard it either, after a few replays I did :P
Ace rules and against my better judgement this is awful!! Don't get me wrong t
I've been an Ace fan since 1975 and I'm a little more hardcore original line up for me,l,but better than none make up kiss.
This is Cool!
insane is just the best vidd eva!!!!!!!!!!!
Jaime oldaker on drums , great lineup
Muito foda!!! Space Man e sua trupe fodastica!!!!
Under rated!!
How come this never made it as one of the really good metal ballads.. sounds great to me... ??
I LIKE
I love you Ace soooo much beautiful man oxox ⚡🪐🎸🛸
The lead singer is Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora & David Bryan all in one with a little Kip Winger thrown in!
Ace is awesome
I always wondered why Todd Howarth played the lead on this....it's Ace Frehley's band for chrissakes!!!
Todd Howarth is a very competent guitar player. Just because it's Aces band doesn't mean he can't hand over a solo or two.
He might be a competent player but Ace is the iconic lead guitarist from KISS. Frehley's Comet should have been Ace out front on vocals and doing the leads....kinda like now on his current stuff. I think the public agrees because this band failed commercially.
The band was called Frehleys Comet, you know, like a band. Not just Ace Frehley like it is now days but you know what they say about opinions.
Paul played a few solos when ace was in kiss I don't know why it matters if ace doesnt play a solo or two
Gibson LP with Floyd Rose 😍
ACE ..... PERU !
