1:31:30 At first I thought I was going crazy, imagining things in my mind. It is currently close to bed time for me and I am laying in the dark letting this pleasant asmr video guide me to sleep,
Earlier today I had watched a fictional documentary called "The Spencer Mansion Incident", regarding the Resident Evil series.
When I heard the music at the time stamp, I wasn't sure if I had left a tab open and a different video started running by itself, but once I ruled that out, I became slightly irritated and confused.
Where is this sound coming from, it is obviously the save room tune from resident evil, that safe haven music etched into my prepubescent mind years ago. I had a second of doubt: Am I imagining something? Is something paranormal happening?
Suddenly the shadows and shapes in my dark room started springing out, faintly lit by the ambient city lights pouring into my apartment window. Did my closet door just move by itself? Is there something creaking at my bedroom door? I feel paralyzed with terror, nothing makes sense anymore, I may be in the body of a grown man, but my mind has put me back into the state of fear I had so often when playing the playstation title as a little boy.
It only took a few seconds, but it felt like forever. Once I finally paused this video I realized the source and was able to relax.
I find it absoultely bewildering how this tune that is emblematic of comfort and relaxation, a chime for a safe haven, had the opposite effect on me for a second, sending me into a nervewrecking panic.
Now with the adrenalin rush setting in, I shall lean back and relax further to the pleasantries of asmr - if another hallmark survival horror sound fades in, I shall be prepared.
