We are in fact at a level of CO2 in ppm that is rather too close to the minimum needs of respiring plants i.e. too low for them to assimilate the gas. The earth has historically thrived in ppm many times that of today. Climate alarmists should look at and promote the basis scientific facts. They do not and this is because money talks. True science is being ignored at our peril. Even the language is alarmist. No wonder young children are hyper worried because that is the mantra they are given 24 hrs per day. In Australia it certainly is. We had 3 elections that were cast as a referendum on climate change and we voted against this BS. In the midst of the government loosing its mind during Covid they also betrayed the voting public and signed us up to net zero. We booted them out mostly over Covid but also because they adopted the Labor climate policy, so Labor got elected with the lowest vote in Australian history. They took this as a green light to go insane over climate. Just like Covid, who cares what the people want. As they say, if voting made a difference they wouldn’t let us do it.

Democracy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one voted for this Net Zero BS.
Every thing is undemocratic in this country isn't it, we voted for a end to mass immigration didn't we that doesn't seem to count, and did we really come out of the EU.
My question is…. Our atmosphere has a 0.04% CO2 content so if we were to achieve “net zero “ what would the trees and plants breathe??
We are in fact at a level of CO2 in ppm that is rather too close to the minimum needs of respiring plants i.e. too low for them to assimilate the gas. The earth has historically thrived in ppm many times that of today. Climate alarmists should look at and promote the basis scientific facts. They do not and this is because money talks. True science is being ignored at our peril. Even the language is alarmist. No wonder young children are hyper worried because that is the mantra they are given 24 hrs per day. It is infuriating to see as a scientist now an old dinosaur, how our profession is being compromised for lies and half truths just so people can feel they are part of the new system of cl[mate net zero promoters.
So if we don't like one part of a manifesto does that mean we should not vote for that party? What if all the parties include that unliked part, who do I vote for?
This is the problem. The two major parties are pretty much the same.
Lets lead the way and abandon this net zero crap
Once the people are gone the footprint 👣 won't be there so the less people the better and that's where the jabs come into play.
100%...Strange how they've been pushed SO hard in the industrialized West!...it's also strange that all the current excess mortality (5-6 times peak covid rate) is being ignored by both the media and the politicians...guess I must be a 'conspiracy theorist'!! 😀
@@douglasb.5601 Exactly. They can only cover it for so long .
We need ann ,nigel and Richard and crew to pull out this storm ms cdf vor
Can we have capital punishment for politicians who mislead, misguide, lie, deceive and collude against the public
There wouldn't be many left - Nigel Farage would be gone for sure!
You can become utterly dependant upon dirty manufacturing in the east.
You can become fully self sufficient upon clean manufacturing domestically.
One we can control. One we can not.
100%, They are trying to take that control away from us, China supports and pushes this through the UN. Once they make us 100% dependent on them we are at their mercy, which is Net Zero.
"The parties had a manifesto and agenda." It's not democracy if there is no choice.
No one should be forced to make environmental changes, they should be encouraged to do so.
It's not science or politics. It's religion.
Let's have a referendum on Net 0 we all know the answer
Referendum or Status Quo - Down Down Deeper and Down.....
Totally. Fuelled by unaccountable madmen........
God Bless Anne,
bollox
Referendum now.
Those who cheer on the stampede for net zero used to inhabit lunatic asylums. Now that these have largely shut down, we're witnessing care in the community as an unintended consequence.
We should be more like Switzerland, and on big changes to our way of life, have a vote on a given subject. It's all very well to say both main parties support net zero, people are voting on lots of other issues, the net zero bollocks is there because all the elites have decided that's what THEY are going to do regardless of what the ordinary citizen wants! When people can't eat and heat, watch out! Sooner or later the masses will rise up and chaos & death will follow........
If they actually told the real cost then fine. But suddenly move the goalposts by 20Yrs.
Net Zero is a direction to aspire to - not an altar to sacrifice the poor on?
In Australia it certainly is. We had 3 elections that were cast as a referendum on climate change and we voted against this BS. In the midst of the government loosing its mind during Covid they also betrayed the voting public and signed us up to net zero. We booted them out mostly over Covid but also because they adopted the Labor climate policy, so Labor got elected with the lowest vote in Australian history. They took this as a green light to go insane over climate. Just like Covid, who cares what the people want. As they say, if voting made a difference they wouldn’t let us do it.
Insulate your home by nailing a layer of 'just stop oil' lunatics to the outside of your walls.
Help save the planet by limiting large tyre production - strap 'net zero' road gluers around the wheels of lorries in place of large tyres.
Trouble with these people is that they never listen and they are always right!!!😒
Nobody asked my opinion on net zero. Nobody asked me if I wanted to pay a premium on energy supplies from abroad. Nobody asked me if I thought that giving up our own energy resources for those imported was a good idea. I'll say it's undemocratic when the government that I elected starts telling me what to think, do or say.
As far as I can make out both the major parties have bought in to net zero there fore to claim a democratic mandate when there is no realistic choice in the matter is disingenuous at best .
Yes I am sure everyone voted Tory for the zero emissions policy, what a load of tosh.
I received the 'we have a mandate' answer when I wrote to my MP about my concerns that the net zero policy was going to kill the vulnerable. I am sure nobody voted to die.
This is a freak show
What's the betting that contracts and cronies will play a big part in net zero. I wonder if the few will get even richer than they did courtesy covid.
Trying to run before we can walk. A this is being 'forced' on us and that is not good.
Yes, net-zero is undemocratic. Any policy that impacts on all of our lives should be subject to referenda. And to state that a government was elected on one specific element of a party’s manifesto is ridiculous. Manifestos include many pledges, most of which don’t materialise. Governments should enable the wishes of the electorate, not the other way round
