She could’ve given him that ultimatum then and there and I think he’d chose to be commoner to be with the maid and let the more qualified person be king like his brother. Rule should dictates he step down surrender his status title or rid of the maid. The Crown princess is so nice.. deserved better. It’s all Mother’s wanting the best for their child blinded by love not truth.. even the maid at the end said to her: shes caused it; he has no skills or talents to be emperor and Jialou pushed him too much forced him to accept his Crown Prince title, then took it from him to give to his brother” too late. She fueled the dark fires of both brothers for evil to come in. He hating her and other son saying not fair.. “why he got it and I’m better and I didn’t?” etc. This scene was the moment to take it from him.. not later. 1- eldest son was young not wanting the cons of being CP. 2- second son was not yet craving or all-in scheming for the title and plot evil against his brother to take it away.. evil came into their minds and took control to splinter the family.
@@kateli1880 the crown Prince position was given to him because he was the first son plus since the second one did not live with them they don't know him well enough. If jialou then remove him from the position because of the snake girl matter it will have lead to much bigger trouble cause the truth is none of the son deserve the throne
