The science fiction writer Arthur Clarke once said: "The universe is stranger than we imagine and stranger than we can imagine." I often think of that when I think of God, especially when I hear others laying down the law about what is right and wrong.
He understands humility and faith in god. Without this basic understanding one struggles with life. I cannot Imagine life without god
Amazing Interview and I used to have a lovely come to my house every Wednesday afternoon to talk about God and she use to leave me books about God that I could read, but to be truthful back than I was really interesting in God as I found it boring and don’t mean that in a bad way. I’ve even got the bible and I read it when I feel sad because helps with my depression and I wouldn’t be saying this a year ago. If this wasn’t for, Stephen Colbert talking about his faith, I’ll don’t no where I be now with out god and this is all Thanks to this Amazing, Incredible Men, Stephen Colbert. I would love to seat down with, Stephen one day and talk about god to him and say a Massive Thank you to him and how he help me in life. I also would love see more of these video please one day and I hope you could kindly pass this messages on to, Stephen Colbert next time you see him or he comes In again for another Interview. Xx
That is a sweet, beautiful story. Im one of the few atheists who realize faith is more complicated than moral superiority. I think Stephen is a perfect example of that and an example of how faith can be done right. Many hugs to him. 💖🌹
Love Colbert, but I wished he'd stand up to his atheist guests more. Don't let them off the hook so easy, Stephen. There's so many good, strong arguments for Christianity and God's existence. And it's our duty to do what we can to bring them back to God.
This is what religion should be. I'm not a believer, but the need to express gratitude for existence is something I also feel deeply. Wonderful interview.
