The Human Design System has 12 Profile Types that give an added dimension to your personality and how you interact in the world. Today we talk about 4/1 Profile and what it means to have a 4/1 Profile for all Human Design Types. This is the next installment of the 12 profiles. There will be more to come in the future.

I am 4/1 Generator. I have lived on this planet for 33 yrs but haven't still figured out of what I want to do. But I am constantly looking for the right thing (the personal truth) for me to do/the mission sort of. I have had many jobs and moved on because of not liking/not feeling it was the right thing. I don't believe in re-programming of a character personally, therefor I try to find my own path.
You probably dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother during the lockdown :)

I feel this BIG time. 42 and this resonates deeply.
As a 4/1 fixed projector I have really struggled to conform into society. Now at 31 I have finally found a solid scholar plan I can commit to, learning social sciences (social psychology) my future finally seems a bit lighter. I have started so many schools but dropped everything because of the boredom. Now I have direction in life but I really need to make my life look exactly how I want it to be. I want to be my own boss. As a projector I do not have energy to work in 8hr systems. I would get sick terminally if I did it, I just know it.
You’re life path sounds right for the profile, when you have the 4/1 profile you need to feel and do everything that interests you only after you have seen what you don’t like can you see what you do and that seems to be where you are now.
I think we would have so much to talk about! Everything your wrote, I resonate to. I am 33 and currently making my scholar plan (and hoping it's not too late) after channeling my energy to the wrong places (studying/working).
Wow too funny, I'm a 4/1 projector and didnt figure out I wanted to become a licensed professional counselor until I was 28 and have been in school since, should be graduating in a year and a half with my masters!!
same here 4/1 projector. im 30 and just recently dropped out of a school psychology grad program. i think i want to do something in the humanities and social sciences but im still figuring it out. I have worked myself to the bone over the years often in school and juggling multiple jobs and i am now being diagnosed with a chronic inflammatory health issue so yeah. u r smart respect ur need for rest

4/1 Generator. 39 yo. I have 7 activated centers and 6 channels including 9-52 and 10-34. My social circle is extremely small (I lost all of my friends in the past 10 years due to an unhealthy relationship) I have never had any idea of what I wanted to do with my life. There is no clear path. It's interesting that you said "there's a common theme throughout their life" because if there is, I have no idea what it could be🤷 It seems like in human design, as in astrology, I'm supposed to be really amazing but...I have no idea how
Well, I am 4/1 manifestor and for me is not all in the money, I have much bigger desires like foundation of the Truth. There is no higher vibration of the PURE TRUTH satisfaction. For now alone but..

First of all, big shout out to Denise for having the courage to share wisdom about the 4/1 energy for different types. Y'all know how hard that is to find, especially for Manifestors. I'm a 4/1 Manifestor with splenic authority, sun gate 15. I've had my breakthrough. Here's what you do: step 1: identify what channel(s) make you a manifestor and realize that if you are vibing at the vibration of your personality sun gate, you will magnetize your manifestor channel(s). If you are not vibing in your personality sun, you will repel the energy of your manifestor channel (s). For example, the only channel I have that makes me a manifestor , the only thing that makes my aura function as a magnetic that either magnetizes or repels is the channel 21-45 , the money line. So when I vibe with my sun gate 15 which is the vibration of the earth and nature (for me, that's a focus in herbalism), I automatically attract all the wealth I need for abundance. When I focus on money or I'm vibing in the low frequency of my sun gate because I'm living in fear and conditioning, I repel money. I had to repel money for quite some time , constantly focused on how I can manifest it, before I had the breakthrough realizing , it's all about the conscious sun. So, step one, what channel makes you a manifestor? Step two, what vibration are you designed to live in (personality sun gate)? Study the heck out of that sun gate and gene key. Lean into your true vibration, your true fate, and your manifestation will flow.

MG’s and Generators are quite similar with profiles, they both respond, the only added detail is that MG’s should inform those affected by their decisions before they respond to new opportunities.😊

4/1 manifestor this is so fitting for me. And yes I am aware I am a f**king unicorn lol. This has answered a lot for me. I've always known what I am meant to do and what I want to do.
A 4/1 manifesting generator~ but I don't feel like I'm really a 4/1, like I won't consciously think about my network when I'm making decisions
The profile is just one of the parts of bodygraph, if you have a lot of individual energy you might be more inclined to be more independent.
Very interesting video, Denise. I’ve spend years trying to understand my son’s unique personality, hoping to discover a better way to relate to him. I was recently introduced to HD, and from what I’ve read and videos I’ve watched, his chart is very rare. He is a 4/1 Manifestor with a Juxtaposition Cross of Caring. Any further insight you’d like to share on this specific profile type, would be welcomed and much appreciated! Thank you for your amazing videos!
I have a son whose a 4/1 as well, he’s a generator. Manifestors are by nature independent and want to live their own way and don’t want people to tell them what to do. In fact asking questions about what they are doing can stop their creative flow. Instead of asking questions, sometimes inserting “I wonder....” before posing your question .The manifestors that I know find that kind of interaction usually is smoother. The earlier he discovers that informing those who matter to him about what he intends to do the better, and letting him know that by informing people he will actually have more freedom because fewer people will be asking him what he’s doing. The 4/1 profile moves slowing and are usually all about building foundations, so changing may be difficult, but being a Manifestor this might be a push pull energy, initiating fast and feeling as if the foundation isn’t there. The way that they learn is by building a foundation then investigating and many times the foundation that they already built isn’t what they want so they want to change. The juxtaposition of caring has the energy of caring 27, so helping people can be something that interests him or he does naturally but it’s going to be in his own unique way. There is also a built struggle with the gate 28, which is all about many times taking the more difficult path to discover what matters to them. The gate 33 can love history and also being alone and looking at the past, and the 19 is sensitive to the world around them and even physically sensitive they may have a connection with animals. Allowing him to have his space with the knowledge that you’re there when he needs you may work but the one thing that’s important is for him to have some base that he can rely on, the foundation piece of the 4th line is really important as well as having a friend group/family that accept him exactly as he is and don’t want to change him. I think part of what confused me when listening to the video is the part about those with a 4/1 profile waiting to be invited for an opportunity and moving slowly on things, which fits with the generator and projector more so, but might pose an inner conflict with a manifestor, He is VERY high strung, never slows down, moves swiftly through life, kind of like a bull in a china shop. He is passionate about sports, playing and spectating, and he loves helping people, especially children. He’s 19 now, going to college, and trying to figure out what he wants to do. Leaning toward teaching and coaching, which seems to suit him well. His dad hasn’t been in his life much, which I know has affected him greatly, but I was a very hands on mom, trying to wear both hats as best I could, and I know that’s something that he’s appreciated. Thanks again for your insight. This HD stuff is so interesting, yet complicated to navigate through as a beginner. Your videos are helpful though, so thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Yes, it’s all about a holistic approach, all the moving parts, which are many, but it definitely helps parents understand their children. At 5:30 in the video there’s a little blurb about a manifestor that is a 4/1 that might help a little. Sounds like your son is finding his way and channelling his energy where it matters most for him, like you said, its amazing to hear about. He will find his way especially when he has the support of a parent who really wants to take the time to get to know him, like you seem to be doing.
@@ahatch1970 Im an adult 4/1 manifestor. I wish my mom would have known hd. Don't try to box him in. Encourage the "research" oriented side but dont push him to share what he's learned before he's ready. What might come off as ambivilence or apathy could just be the "working on a foundation" before feeling comfortable making a decision. If he bounces around careers just know all of that will be integrated into what he ultimately does. HTH! I was also a teacher for a few years out of college (math). I like to teach but I dont like showing up and putting on a show.
I'm a 4/1 generator emotional juxtaposition cross of strategy. I've been conditioned to be lesser then and that my feelings and opinions aren't valid and was the family punching bag. Out of 6 children I was the only one with serious childhood trauma and then forced to live in foster homes and grounded from family vacations. I had to be who I had to be growing up to protect my own heart. Now I'm so confused and don't know who I am at all.. my relationships are suffering so much and I don't know how to fix it because I can't stand up for myself because I don't want to cause pain in anyone's life as a direct result of me.
This is confusing because I am a 4/1 but it doesn't fit me at all. While I like some structure, I'm an idea person and move on my ideas fast, making up the details as I go along. I often have to slow myself down or I start going in too many directions at once. It's only after I try something and find that I like it that I start to investigate (1). I'm a loner with very few close friends. Most of them will tell you that "if it wasn't for Cindy, nothing would get done. (Ready, Fire, Aim)
It makes sense. The profile is only a part of who you are, open centers, type and all the gates make you who you are. Manifesting Generators, and Manifestors move fast, emotional definition can also make you quick to act when you get caught up in an idea, an open identity has to try things to see what they don’t like to figure out what the do like. An root can make you very quick to act as well. The profile is just the tip of the iceberg. 😊 thanks for your comment.

I'm a generator, yet when I was introduced to this my friends thought I'd be a Manifesting Generator (still don't quite understand that). I move fast on ideas because if I don't I lose interest. I walk fast, I run marathons and half marathons. I'm still learning so maybe it will make sense once I understand more.
that’s interesting, my son is a 4/1 as well and he is very athletic, fast etc, and has a similar way as you, I chocked it up to his 9/52 channel, which can be very athletic and found in elite athletes. also the gate 34 is very busy energy that can move fast and powerfully. And one more energy related to being athletics can be half or both gates of the 46/29. Lastly, the gate 36 can be very much about “ready, fire,aim” I agree, I’m sure it will make more sense as you learn more.
I’m a 4/1 Manifestor with splenic authority and I move quite fast as well. Lots of people tell me that they are impressed by how fast I’m learning new things and switch interests. I definitely prefer the investigates line though, because networking is so exhausting and it is easy for me to create opportunities, since I’m trust my splenic center and ego center to know what’s right for me.

I'm 16 with a 4/1 manifestor with a Juxtaposition cross of conflict, I find this stuff extremely interesting but feel as if my graph is really confusing and hard for me to understand.
The fact that you’re this far in means that you have what it takes to understand, you can definitely figure it out you just have to be patient with yourself because your profile is all about slow and steady wins the race when it comes to new information, even if the Manifestor part of you wants to speed up you can take as much time as you want to learn 😊
I think patience is a theme with our chart types (fellow 4/1 mani here). We have this pressure from our minds to go share dutifully all our research but we have to wait until we have that network to naturally bleed into. Also as manifestors our auras are repelling, so we can feel unsure about how we will be received when we go out and communicate our passions. i try to remember to surrender to the design line (the 1 in this case)

It is told alot about 4/1 and their connection to their friends community and family.
I don't have a Community I belong to. I don't call anybody friends so easily so I consider myself having no friends. And I hate my family.
So am I a 4/1? I don't get it.
I do investigate alot tho. Since childhood I always felt the need to learn about the simplest things. Like "How to behave in social gatherings with people I know"
How to do this. How to do that.
I have a question? Just Google it and don't wait for others to answer. Need to know meaning of something, Tutorials or a knowledge of things? Just do your own research. This is how I go through life. But I am not social at all. I'm an INFP-A

You are a Generator type so you can look at the Generator description. Since you are a manifesting Generator, the only addition to the description is that if you decide to respond to an opportunity that you inform those who are impacted by your decisions before responding.

And since letting go of people is one of the toughest things for 4 th line profiles to do the sooner you decide who is for your best and who is not, the better aligned you are with your path you’ll be. First and foremost be you, you’re here to have influence because of your ability to stand for what you believe in and also to always be true to who you are. Try to remember to find the beauty in the worthwhile struggles. If you want you can check out the gate 28, 27 and gate 60 videos for more insight. That makes sense, we have to combine all the components, 4/1 is all about stability so finding stimulation of the mind is safe and yet you still get to fly in your imagination, and through learning new things. And you’re right on track, sometimes letting go opens up new doors to our future.

The profile energy remains that same for generator types, the only difference would between pure generators and manifesting generators to for a MG to inform those people who will be affected by your decisions before you respond to an opportunity.

Have you looked at Juxtaposed planets at all? In my Human Design chart, I have that six-pointed star for Jupiter in Gate 10. Does that mean I have a Fixed Fate when it comes to Jupiterian things in my life (wealth, teaching, philosophy, luck...possibly my husband)?
I'd love to know your perspective on the matter. Only 1 other person amongst my family or "friendly associations" (close enough to have their date and location of birth, along with enough interest to put them into the Maia Mechanics Imaging database) have any juxtaposed planets (they have juxtaposed Personality Earth and Design Sun and is ENORMOUSLY successful).

The fate is having a relationship with your conscious son - what do you mean?
Your conscious sun in Human Design is like your sun sign in astrology so it’s the black number on the right. This gate has a theme and has also to do with the “light you shine on the world” or what your here to do in your life. For the 4/1 profile it’s believed that you have a more fated or destined trajectory in life and how you express yourself comes through your conscious sun or uses the characteristics of the themes of that gate. For instance the gate 59 is connected to breaking barriers so that might be part of someone’s life theme. There are many more parts to a bodygraph that all weave together to form a picture so this is only one aspect.
I'm very curious if time of birth AM/PM is important? I calculated my profile but noticed it didn't specify AM OR PM
Yes, the correct time is important because the moon changes gates over the day, the profiles change too as well as the incarnation cross, sometimes even the type changes so an accurate time is really important to have. what you've meant by - "fate to meet their consciousness" son ???
it's "Conscious sun" the number in the top right of the bodygraph in black. It's all about who you are and what you're meant to do and in the case of the 4/1 who you are theoretically "fated" to be.
As a 4/1, I have neither a thumbs up or down on this video. Think, eh!
