Saw Rocky III in Hawaii with my parents. My dad wanted to take us as he had to have Heart Surgery and was not sure if he was going to be okay, so the year before the surgery, he took my Mom and I to Oahu. Of course I only found out about the Heart Surgery just before he had to have it in 1983. LOVED the movie and LOVED the song, but boy do I LOVE this version. Makes me think of my parents who I miss so much. My dad died in 1998 and my Mom in 1997, so the surgery did help out afterall

I think Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham might have used it before the Hulkster did. When The Wrestling Album came out, Hogan began using "Real American" as his entrance music.
