I'm a 43 year old father of 3 from West Virginia. Never thought i would be keeping up with a football team from Wales. I have a Wrexham jacket and 2 jerseys. I don't even have American football jackets or jerseys. Lol. Watching Wrexham has been exciting and inspiring. I watch them every Saturday morning and Tuesday afternoon. Can't wait until next season. Congrats Phil. 👏
Same, but 50 from Colorado, never cared about any sports before, and now I haven't missed a Wrexham game in 2 years (including 3 in person) and I've practically bought out the club shop... saying goodbye to my retirement savings one jersey at a time!
Leeds fan here. I have to admire what Phil Parkinson has acheived at so many clubs, Wrexham are fortunate to have him. I've an idea the 2 teams will meet in the future.
Parky, all I can say is thank you so much. You have delivered and more. You give appreciation to the Wrexham Lager Stand after each game without fail which means everything to that particular group of fans. What a legend
What a bunch of legends! It is my dream in this life to have Phil Parkinson give me a team talk with all the fixins (emphasis on the f-bombs, of course)!.
Thanks for another excellent interview Rog. Certainly up there with your best. Love your technique, relaxing style, leading and inquistive questions resulting in your guests talking freely, openly and honestly too. Phil is indeed a great manager and continued good fit. So pleased he was persuaded to come. Let's hope his continued best endeavours during the coming months come to fruition so we can all another fantastic season.
You can see the respect the players have for Parky from the doc. In the last episode we were 4-0 down at Stockport at 1/2 time and back in the dressing room Boyle and Lee were arguing about one of the goals and there was quite a bit of unrest. Parky walks in and firmly says 'no more talking' and the dressing room immediately fell silent.
That’s was a nice intro . I love Phil he was one of ua Lancashire lad born in chorley. And I live in leyland . Well done Phil . And good luck for next season sir
I love these interviews, and Phil Parkinson what a guy! I love the way he’s playing down their expectations for next year…. Just get him booked in for next May
As an Aston Villa fan 40+ yearss, Im actually pleased Birmingham will get some much needed attention and limelight on both sides of the pond, and in the documentary playing Wrexham twice next season with so mich American owner imvolvement! With Villa back in Champs League, its a very exciting tome for my home City of Birmingham on both sides of the Villa - Birmingham City divide! I hope and expect the documentary to a dive into Birmingham City as they did with Notts County. I think it really adds to the docu series and helps American n overseas fans to understand all the history behind each club featured and the fascinating football stories! Birmingham beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Keague Cup final just a few years ago! Crazy times of ups and downs for so many clubs! 😮
Fantastic interview Rog! I love the fullness of your opening monologue introductions. Keep being your fabulous self and hope you get to Vancouver this July. I’m sure the game between Wrexham and the WhiteCaps will be a sellout. from a Wrexham fan in Vancouver
Being in that super close finish last year with not where every game counted, especially at the end of the season, I am sure that helped with their strong finish this season because of what they went through last year.
Next season is going to be real tough. Some very competitive and excellent teams in division one. The right recruitment of new signings will need to be bang on, if we are going to be competitive and aim to have at least any chance of a play off spot.
I have been watching a lot of soccer (football) lately in the Champions League since Welcome to Wrexham, which has been awesome, except for trying to understand the rules. I can't wait for the season to start so I'll actually get to watch Wrexham matches live.
@@maxcr5937 I got a good view of it from the Portugal v Czechia match, where they put up a diagram of why a goal was called off, but it doesn't make total sense...lol
Phil doesnt get the prop he deserves. This man brought a football league team to the carling cup final and beat some premier league teams along the way.
Phil's Salty language when the team is not performing is hilarious! Yet totally acceptable in elite sports with all.rhe pressures and responsibilities. Totally fine in a Documentary on Wales, even in America and around the World! But I can't imagine it would even be allowed on a mainstream American Football programme! Welcome to Fcking Wrexham! 😂
It will really depend on the quality they can find in the transfer market. Wrexham, though they pay, they don't overpay. They find quality people for the dressing room. If they aren't there for the price they need, they will shore up, and go for it the year after. But if there are 4-5 gems at a reasonable price like McClean, Evans, Fletcher, and Okonkwo, they'll go for it. The documentary may attract the Lee/Ollie type player to take less for more exposure. The only expectation in the Town/City next year is to have a winning record and not fighting relegation. Parky has the right expectations for a good two year leeway. If they battle at all for the playoff, Parky might be around for a long while.
Spend unmatchable money compared to your competition til you're essentially a higher league level team playing in the lower leagues. That's the answer.
Its a funny Football World, Phil could have done a better job Managing Aston Villa in Premier than Steven Gerrard did! Yet Prem Clubs always tend to look at the most famous big managers first!? 5 Promotions from very tough leagues! Whose to say that is not even harder a feat than Unai Emery winning 4 Europa Leagues! 🤔

Same! Except I’m 37 from Texas 😊
Same, but older and from Australia.

The same 48 in Idaho... personally, this has the feel of what College football is: in the communities, there is an emotional connection.
If I had 3 kids I'd take whatever escapism I could get (father of two here)

Got to play each other eventually
👍cheers 5RCBiker.good luck in the play off final to the premier league pal
@@Pete-go9wl We are LUFC, so we are bound to cock it up! See you in the Championship!
Rog is the best interviewer. Phil is a eloquent speaker. So smart and personable on both sides.
Its very cool to see how he can flip from being so thoughtfull in daily to being an absolute animal at the field
I think this might be the best interview you've ever done, great show! Phil is an absolute legend.
Players in Vegas and staff golfing in Spain. Pretty Decent post-promotion fun for all it sounds like.
Up the Town!
Wonderful interview. Parky usually gives a simple answer to the simple questioned asked. You got him to open up. Fantastic interviewing skills, Rog.
Great interview. Parky is something special. See you in Vancouver Phil.. can't wait for the adventure.
Rog, awesome interview as always. I really enjoy your work, thank you!
You are such a great interviewer and you bring out the best in your guests! Keep up the good work.
He is brilliant

He'd make a mint on Cameo. If he ever retires I'm sure people would pay for him to yell at them, and consider it money well spent. I would.

Simply outstanding!
Love this guy and his team for what they have done for my hometown and the community of Wrexham.
I literally can’t get enough off these!
Rog, is soooo good!
More and more content please 😊

What a lovely guy Phil is, good lucky in the future with Wrexham, up the town 👏🏴
He could have interviewed Phil on the phone book and I would have listened....Phil is really a class act.
The Phil Parkinson locker room is a classic now. It's appreciated world wide and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Needs a couple of pictures on the wall. Love this guy

Watching and enjoying the interview from Berkeley, CA
Wonderful questions Rog

Love me some Parky. Except when I watch the show I have to mute it if he's on screen because my daughter counts all the F bombs LOL
I hope Phil’s polo is foreshadowing of the uniform supplier for Wrexham in L1!
Id be bery interested to see how Phil gets on managing a Premier League Club! Which could happen with Wrexham in 2.5 years! 😮
Phil cursing makes it feel so real. He’s exactly how an American would imagine an English manager to be. Don’t squash this Disney.
heck, that's how most coaches in the US talk in the locker room...lol

Great interview. But how in the world did you get a Fortaleza pennant? I wasn't definitely not expecting to see that
i was there during the Confederations Cup. Loved it and Recife

He does look very relaxed!!! Don't agree with everything he does but Results don't lie!!!! Can they get 3 in a row?

I enjoyed this, but why laugh loads at some of the things Phil mentions when plainly it's not a funny quote?
Yeah, but ITFC is a better story which these muppets will never discuss.
Looks like someone is salty
Phil swearing is just a form of punctuation
