Third, airline security wasn’t as good as it is today so it wouldn’t have been too hard to take control of the plane. Unless everyone on board immediately got up and overpowered them which only happened on one of the flights. The one that crash landed in Pennsylvania.

Weakened steel beams holding hundreds of thousands of pounds of concrete. All it would've taken was for a few to break/fail and now all of that weight is put on a few already weakened beams. Plus, the way the building was designed the heat/flames were channeled almost directly to the support beams.
