0:08 A rusted out $300 Beetle, under $2000 in parts, a couple months of weeknights and weekends in the garage, a couple friends help, 217 beers, 6 pizzas... All in costs less than a new set of rims & tires for a side by side.. And having just as much fun!👊
I drove by Glamis this morning and stopped by the Osborne Lookout Park. There were maybe 100 rigs up there, not moving. Just sitting, while the predominantly overweight and poorly groomed owners and passengers stood around looking dumb. I mean, what's the point? When I take out my UTV, I drive it.
I had a close call with my little boy 2 years ago when he rolled a big honda quad and decided he needed to go faster so shifted gears and hit a soft patch in the river bed flipped got pinned underneath the 500lb quad he couldn't breath due to his position under it but thankfully I noticed it get quiet and saved him but he was beat up and couldn't walk for an entire week. Talk about scary!

All the SxS's are on credit, people who drive those didn't really grow up riding and the SxS is usually their first intro to offroading. The sandcars and buggies are custom made, sometimes by the driver, but usually not. The sandcar owner in this vid seemed like he had more money than sense. Last thing you wanna do after rolling a vehicle is immediately redline it, especially when it was leaking oil. Give some time for the fluids to settle.6

@@rongee3707 Go on the off weekends, bro. It's more like old times. You'll still mostly see SxS's but there'll be 90% fewer people. Last time I went on an off weekend there were maybe 50 people at Olds at noon on a Saturday.
Yeah that's why you don't go to Glamis on the holiday weekends. The chaos is a cool novelty, but you see for yourself how many "geniuses" are out there during Veteran's Day which is one of the more mild weekends. Halloween, New Years, and President's Day are absolutely insane. I value my safety and my expensive ass bike way too much to gamble on some drunk regard crashing into me.

I love riding my bike out there, but don't really like some of the kooks in the big horse power buggies with the "hey llok at me im cool" attitude. Jumping, and roosting people when your chilling with your family nowhere close to the hill or a crowded spot. 2 wheels forever
