I actually made one of these into a Rover customization place, where there is RTGs, drill mods, pavers, and medium soil/liquid canisters. Like you said, an RTG creates 4 units of power, a rover with a paver and a drill mod consumes 3 units of power, one from the paver, one from the drill, and one from the rover.
Also I decorated it so it looks like a mechanic, and I put flood lights on the three small slots on the roof.

@@DylanFollmer123 it sounds cool, But… when I was making it, there was a problem. See I built a entrance to the rover customize place, and… I don’t even want to say… it’s every astroneer’s worst nightmare… the outside entrance was…
Uneven. So I had to redo the outside, that is quite big ☹️

@@minvike37 Yup, that's true!
The equator is where the "star belt" is around each planet, look up and if the star belt is above, that's the equator line. Also no need to drag the solar arm all the way back, just plug it into one of the rail posts, and as long as the rail line is plugged into the base end, you'll get power through the rail system.

I made base inside Calidor mountain/cliff and made my train a subway underground which goes into the base inside the mountain/cliff

@@rival3006 It usually spawns in specific biomes, so if you know where to find it, you can use custom games and spawn in the exact biome it should be in.

@@michaelaubertine3196 Big DLC is coming before the end of the year. So I think it's either for Halloween or for Xmas.

@@retodera9593 Astroneer has had dozens of updates over the years! You should keep on playing it. It's also getting a big DLC this year!
