I am probably going to end up with a larger bridal party. I have multiple friends I’ve known for years that are so special to me, and I just can’t seem to narrow it down! Thank you for all of these wonderful pro tips for when that day comes!
I follow a bride on another UA-cam channel and she had seventeen bridesmaids in her wedding! That’s personally the most I’ve ever heard of a bride having; I really want to hear her talk about her experience because I’m really curious how she managed that! 😅
Have you ever run into any issues getting a bridal party standing at the front? I’m wondering if after a certain point, some of the bridal party needs to stand on risers in order to be seen if there’s a lot of them?
17 is insane, that is just crazy!
I am not sure about the ceremony staging. I know a lot of large bridal parties happen in the South where ceremonies often take place in churches with stairs that allow for multiple rows or longer areas. I guess if your venue is smaller then you might have to make due with two rows of standing and staggering them.
I had a wedding this year with the EXACT same groomsmen as you mentioned. It wore out my 2nd shooter so bad because none of them listened. This year I am going to highly highly talk about the importance of waiting to get the party down and dirty for after formals.
Ah that's awful! I understand people want to party but there are important things to accomplish on the wedding day and also just being courteous to the staff working the event. We are people with jobs to do and we are only trying to do our best for the couple!
We have 4-5 per side and I am now stressing as the bridegroom and pretty much all the groomsmen are dreadful with timekeeping and heavy drinking and none are early risers 😬 I've sent the two most reliable ones this video and drilled the importance into them 😆 Hopefully our Day Of Coordinator can help a bit too - we may well need it!

So it sounds like my experience with substitute teaching in grades K-12 could come in handy if I decide to change careers and become a wedding photographer? You'd be surprised how many classroom management tricks work with both kindergarteners and high school seniors.

I'm so glad I'm only having 3 people per side. I do not have the skill/patience to deal with more than that lol.
Question: with the drinking, half our wedding party smokes 🍃, do you have any tips for hiding the signs of red eyes, dazed expressions, etc? Would coffee and regular eye drops work? DO you have any specific recommendations?
Ah that's really tough, I would definitely recommend waiting until photos are over to smoke unless you know for sure that eye drops usually take care of the red eyes. The photographer likely would not include editing out red eyes as part of their standard editing.
