I just truly cannot understand how you all keep so many works in progress! I have been cross stitching since 8th grade in 1978 and I only do one project at a time LOL. I found flosstube in 2022 even though retired since 3/2019. What a wonderful platform but I simply cannot wrap my head around the drive to start so many projects and go from one to another, but that is just me. 😆 I mean I have a list in my head and a plethora of charts, books, PDF'S and the like, but for whatever reason, I just love the achievement of one project finished at a time! Your stitching is lovely Brenda!
Hi Lori! So true, I can totally see the appeal of stitching and finishing one at a time :)
Since finding FlossTube during the pandemic I have branched out into having a few WIPs on the go. Sometimes I get bored with one and it’s good to have another one to work on. By the time I get back to the “boring” one it’s fresh and exciting again!
Smaller charts I tend to do all in one go.
I think the FlossTubers tend to spend more time stitching than I do and probably stitch faster as well.
But it’s all good, because we know there are no cross-stitching police 🚫👮♀️ ❤
I’m a monogamous stitcher too but I usually have three or four WIPs I’m working on at a time just to change it up when I get bored.
So good to see Boss Daughter again!
I agree! I always enjoy filming with her :)
Best wip parade ever! So nice to see your daughter! Loving your wips and love to follow your progress. Love, “all my fault Sharon” 🤣🤣🤣
LOL, thank you "all your fault Sharon"!!!!
I stitched Lost No More back in 2017 and 2018. I stitched it as a wedding gift for my son and daughter in law. It was my first full coverage. I would work on it up to 12 hours a day to get it finished by their wedding. It was one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever stitched.
Hi Sonja! Ohhhh, I bet it is gorgeous!!! What a lovely gift for them.
Stitch on EVERYTHING at ONCE!
LOL, I know!!!
So many pretty pieces! I think I need that German “colors of water” piece - so pretty every time I see yours! 😍
Hi Sarah!!! Yep, I think you do!!! LOL!!!
I hope Catherine doesn’t think I’m a bad influence on you! 😂
Don’t worry about the length of the video, it was very pleasant to sit and stitch and visit with you. Say Hi to Catherine from me! ❤
LOL, pretty sure she does!! 😂
You are so lucky to have daughters to share cross stitch with.
You are so right, I feel very blessed to have two daughters and two daughter-in-laws who stitch. Maybe you could mentor a young stitcher who has nobody in their family who stitches :)
Loved seeing Boss Daughter! Wonderful WIP show Brenda! Happy New Year!
Thank You! I always enjoy filming with her :)
Wow! What a wonderful video! I always love seeing your many terrific projects and your progress! Thank you so much for sharing! Loved seeing Catherine, too!!
Thank You Marlene!!!
Love seeing you and Boss daughter together. Great WIP Parade and I'm enabled for my 60 starts for my 60th birthday this year🙂. Paine Free Crafts Seasonal, Autumn and Spring I have to have.
Thank You!!! I watched your WIP parade recently and LOVED it!!! Your french sampler that is stitched with the DMC Paris thread is just stunning. I have since started a french type sampler with that same thread! Thank You for the enabling!!
@@Handworkmaniac oh I'm thrilled you watched my wip parade and loved that Paris thread! Thank you! What did you start? One of my friends started one of the 2023 Red Smalls from Twin Peaks using Paris and it's beautiful ❤️
@@thesteadfaststitcher I started one by GigiR that is all about the letter "B" :) I love it!!! I think it is Lettres GigiR B
Speaking of Heaven and Earth Designs, my current WIP is War Pony! Katherine that cross stitch from Heaven and Earth you did is stunning!!!
Ohhhh, I bet your War Pony is looking amazing!!!!!!
I love when you have long videos! Thanks for sharing your work and boss daughter!
Thank You Barbara! It is always fun to film with my daughters :)
I have watched this video several times. I love all the variety. It must be exciting to open each project bag!
Thank You Carla! Yes, it was fun, so many wonderful things to look at and remind myself of :)
That was an EPIC WIP parade! I truly love seeing all your projects and the wide variety you stitch. There’s something for everyone! It’s also a bit like visiting old friends - “ Oh I remember that project”. Lots of fun! Have a wonderful couple of weeks.
Thank You! I know exactly what you mean! I do that on other people's WIP parades as well, and love going back and seeing all the old projects again :)
I also love your long videos. You are the best. So fun to have your daughters stitch.
Thank You Mickie! Yes, I enjoy sharing stitching with them, and am so grateful :)
This was fun to watch, not only because of the wonderful projects, but your conversation with your daughter was great.
Thank You Lynn! I always enjoy filming with her :)
Glad to see Boss Daughter back!! Marie needs to make more videos!!!
Yes she does! Actually, she just did a WIP parade, yay!!
Katherine is absolutely darling. You light up when you are with her the way I light up when I get to spend time my my daughters!! We are lucky and blessed women. Happy New Year…your WIPS are amazing!!🎉🎉🎉
Yes we are, thank you!!! And Happy New Year!
Boss Daughter is a hoot! Loved how she kept saying we are going to practice how to say NO. You both are so great together, isn't it wonderful? Happy New Year to you and family
Thank You Linda! LOL, yes, we definitely need to practice that!
What a fun video Brenda, I loved every minute! And while spending time with you and your lovely daughter I went shopping, found and purchased The Big Round Zipper kits. I am so happy to have found them!! Thank you for sharing all your beautiful stitching, I had a great time visiting with you guys today. Blessings.
Thank You Monica!! And I'm so glad you found them!!!
It was so fun to see all your WIPs! It was even more fun to see you and your daughter’s interaction with each other! She is so cute and personable! Fun video!
Thank You Dee! I always enjoy filming with her :)
Loved seeing the interaction between you and Catherine! Good luck with your WIPs!! Enjoyed seeing them!
Thank You Joyce!
I enjoy all of your videos, but this has to be my favorite. Love seeing the mother/daughter interaction.
Thank You Tina! I always enjoy filming with her :)
This video was so much fun to watch, love seeing all your wips so many pretty designs.
Thank You Jenny!
Love all your wips and the progress you made on them. Happy stitching!
Thank You Karin!
Brenda, your work is just lovely. It was fun having your daughter along for commentary! She made me laugh! Another thing that made me laugh was raising children and pecking chickens!! It's so true! Even though kids are great! 😂 One of your projects that I loved was your Carolyn Manning Beachcomber. I really want to stitch one of her designs, and that's one of the front runners. I only wish the actual floss colors were as bright as the ones on the cover picture. But I look forward to seeing how yours progresses so I can get a better idea of the finished work. I got a lot of stitching done while watching...thanks!😊
Thank You Maureen! Yes, I agree, all of the Carolyn Manning designs are sooo gorgeous. Glad you got some stitching done, and that we made you laugh!! LOL And I will be waiting to hear which Carolyn Manning you decide to eventually start :)
Loved the run through of all your wips !
Thanks , Kim ☀️
Thank You Kim!!
I LOVED watching every last bit of this! It was hilarious when you said something about the length of the video, and your daughter replied that we were all stitching. Umm.... no! I was busy finding all the Prairie Schooler ABC patterns and buying them up! You definitely enabled me there!😄
LOL!!!! You are cracking me up! I hope you enjoy the piece as much as I am :)
Ever since I watched floss tube 12, I have been stitching HAED the way Catherine stitch, and the method suits me well. Thanks. I truly enjoy your every video.
Happy New Year Mam Brenda and Catherine ❤
Yay!! I am so glad :)
I see a diagonal mask (albeit a skinny one) in the middle of the Symbols of the Pandemic that you thought was a pine tree. Interpretations.? Loved seeing Catherine’s and your WIPS. Gorgeous!! Thanks for taking the time!🥰
Thank You Denise! I see different things every time I work on it :)
I love/hate your wip parades because you enable me SO bad 😂 such beautiful pieces!
LOL, so sorry!!! But I know exactly what you mean :)
Best Floss Tube EVER! You look so happy and your daughter is awesome. I love the WIP PARADE too. I always learn so much from you. Still haven't had the guts to try higher count linen, but I think if I keep watching your I will in the near future. Can't wait to see your plans for 2023.
Thank You Beth!
A complete joy. Thank you
Thank You Caroline!
You should video with Catherine as much as you can! Your whole countenance changed. And when you told the pecking children story, I busted out laughing. I paused the video and messaged Stephanie and asked if I could get the charted words? Let us know which chicken chart you pick. Your roasted chicken with potatoes chart should be a strong contender. Loved the 2 hr vid. Liz, Florida.
Thank You Liz!!! So glad somebody else thought that was funny as well, lol. I will definitely pull those charts out to show in my next video. I have had a bad cold and am waiting for my voice to come back so I can film the end of year videos. I do enjoy filming with my daughters :)
Stephanie doesn’t have the words and told me to ask you for a copy. I might could stitch it from an up close pic. I don’t know how to exchange personal info protectively through social media. I really wish I could chart things myself. I would love to know how to switch out names, verses, or add words in. By the way, I’ve raised 4. 2 of each.
@@imagatorvetmom Let me see if I can find it. Email me at adnerbyakj@gmail.com and we can converse there :)
I sat here through all of this and I don't regret it :) I think the stiches you work on at work/for work, shouldn't count as WIPs. They are clearly seperate and have their own mini rotation going on ;)
Thank You Rae!!! Glad you enjoyed the feature-length video, lol! And glad you think of those work projects the same way I do :)
i just love the colors you've chosen for pandemic
Thank You Cass!! Those colors make me happy :)
So great to see Boss Daughter Catherine again! Sure have missed her. Love that you had a long video together. Hope to see more of her this year. Stay safe Brenda and Catherine 💕
Thank You Viv!!
Thank you for your video. So great to see Katherine again. I love to see you two interact. I just loved this WIP parade. Some many wonderful projects! Happy New Year to you and yours! Take care and happy stitching!
Thank You Christine!
Hi ladies. Really enjoyed visiting with you both. Love seeing all yr beautiful projects and stitching. Love a kit parade. Boss daughter needs to start a few more projects to go with her new haed and also a flosstube. Take care. Xx
Thank You Mel!!! Yes she does, lol!
Wow Brenda! That was a marathon! I finished a page of a Hands Across the Sea while watching. Taking time out to make dinner and clean up. Wishing you all the best in 2023.
Thank You Sherry! LOL, wow a whole page, that is amazing!!! I bet it is beautiful :)
I am working on that fall quilt also, but I am doing all four quilts on one piece of fabric. I love Stoney Creek patterns.
Ohhhh, that will be so gorgeous!!!
I had fun ! Watching and stitch a lot so never apologize
Thank You Milka! I feel the same way when I am stitching and watching Flosstube! LOL
I love all your projects but that Pandemic is gorgeous. Love your colors.
Thank You!! I love that one :)
Hello local Utah stitch friend. Love watching you and love to see your boss daughter.
Hello!!!! Can you believe how much snow we have had? Crazy year. Have a great stitching day!
OMG, I've just noticed that that bunny is standing on a carrot that's on a ladder that's also ON A TABLE! So much balancing involved 😅😅
LOL, I know right! It makes me laugh every time I look at it!
Please tell Catherine we are wip sisters now! I about jumped out of my chair when I saw that she is working on Arcadia in max color!!! I need to hear progress reports on the 102,000 stitches in 310 😄
LOL, I will tell her!!
Oh my goodness how fun! I'm currently at 85,259 more 310 stitches to go 😂
@@catherinevaldivieso9009 Oh! You're ahead of me! I have 101,276 😀
Oh such fun. Thanks guys! Loved it!
Thank You Cindy!
What a great Flosstube! It was long, but I love seeing all of your projects and stitching! Keep them coming! Happy New Year!
Thank You Tammy!
Love the running commentary from Boss Daughter! 😂. This was a great WIP video and Happy New Year 🎉
Thank You Michelle!
Thanks for reading the manic of the beautiful pandemic piece, now i might pick it up. We lived in Amsterdam in a house that looks just like your cross stitch!
You are welcome! I love the symbolism behind that piece. And that is so cool that you live in one of those tall skinny houses! With a view of a canal! I can only imagine how beautiful that must be :)
Love this video ,, it doesn’t matter if your video is for 6 hours 😂😂 I enjoy too, hugs 🤗 from Mexico 🇲🇽
Thank You Karen!! Such kind words :)
Lol all that talk from Boss daughter about you starting all those projects you saw other people do, well I saw that garden one and I have to do it! I mean the Miss Hathaway’s Garden. I am definitely a single project stitcher but before I start that garden one I have to start one for my bedroom. So I will be going from a single stitcher to a multiple of three stitcher!!!
LOL, oh no!!!!!!! But I am glad someone else thinks it is as beautiful as I do :) I hope you enjoy three projects at once, lol. If not, you can always go back to focusing on one at a time :)
How fun! Your daughter is delightful , your projects are amazing
Thank You!
I have been following you for a few years but the past two I have slowly been crosstitching but not on flosstube as much as I love to be. So 2 days ago I thought, I am going to stich and listen to Brenda and then Catherine was there as well!! Double the fun! I am so glad shes stiching and will be giving updates. She needs to be present more, your debt is out of control. You need a Dave Ramsey for your Cross Stitch Debt. Bahaha. JUST KIDDING! I love your projects your work is beautiful. Peer Pressure Catherine to be in more of your videos so she can "help" you resist the urge to be peer pressured to start. Love you both. Happy New Year!!!!! -Mary from Michigan
Thank You Mary!! Laughing hard, you are so right!!!!!
I smear Vaseline or lip balm round my nostrils to help with allergies and it has really worked for me and nobody can see it either plus I always have one handy already!
Thank You!! That is a great tip!
So nice to see you Catherine. Been wondering how you were doing as it's been a while.
Doing well, thank you for asking! Just getting on with things and raising my son and being an accountant. And apparently stitching again lol.
Thank you for the whip parade. You are an amazing stitcher! Really liked seeing boss daughter. Happy New Year!
Thank You Jeryn!!
This has been so lovely spending time with you and your daughter 💕. I love the both of you visiting while stitching. It's been so nice listening to you both.
Thank You Katherine :)
I loved watching this! It brought me back to my childhood, playing at Brenda’s house with Veronica, Marie and Andrew and listening to you and my parents talk cross stitch! It makes me watch to cross stitch again! Maybe when I’m at a stopping point with this yarn and plastic canvas doll house my mom and I are making for my daughter.
Hi Shanesa!!! I'm so glad it brought back happy memories :) And yes, you need to get back into cross stitch! But I totally understand, lol! I only worked on the living room of that doll house, and it took YEARS!!!!! LOL.
All so 😊beautiful Brenda. Thanks to you and your sweet daughter for taking the time. 🌺🌷❤️💕
Thank You Kimberly!
Really enjoyed your video with your daughter and all your wips. Very fun!!☃️☕ I wish you a very Happy New Year!!
Thank You Linda!
Happy new year. I loved the video and both of your wips are amazing. Daughter like mother.
Thank You Anne!
All good stories begin with “And then I was in Las Vegas”! 😂. Great video - you two are hilarious together.
LOL, so true!!! Thank You :)
Yes it was long, so I went and had a nap inbetween and continued watching, so no problem, an I loved it. Your work is amazing and love all the pieces you are stitching ! Thank you for sharing and look forward to your next video. All the best for the New Year to you and your family ! xx
Thank You Michelle! LOL, a nap is a great idea!!!
Wow! Just wow! Awesome WIP parade! Loved meeting Catherine! Happy 2023 and happy stitching! 💜
Thank You Donna!
I'm pretty new to cross stitching, really like your videos, they are very relaxing. I was wondering if one day you could go over how you choose fabric colour when planning a piece? I have a hard time deciding what fabric would look best with the thread colours I've chosen so it would be great to hear your insight if you have any.
Thank You!! Normally, if I am going to use something different than what it calls for, I get all the called for floss and spread it out across the different fabrics I am thinking of using. I watch for colors that might disappear on that color, and look to see what that color is used for on the chart. And I look to see which fabric makes the floss colors look the most beautiful :)
What a great wip parade. Can’t wait to see your 12X12. Pam
Thank You!!! I will film that video as soon as my voice comes back, lol. Happy New Year!
So fun watching the two of you together. I loved your laughter and teasing. So many beautiful wips, and Wow on Boss Daughter's new HAED. Looking forward to seeing all the progress from both of you. Happy stitching.
Thank You Sarah! I always enjoy filming with her :)
So sorry! The day we filmed this I was coming down with a bad cold and I am still trying to recover. As soon as my voice comes back I will film the end of year videos I talked about, lol. AND . . . all those things I said I would put in the description box wouldn't fit because it was so full!! So here are as many as I can remember 😁
1. Catherine's "How to Stitch a HAED video" is #12. My "How I Stitch a HAED" is #56
2. American Sampler is called "American Antique Sampler" on koolerdesign.com
3. R-Kade silks I am using: PR114 and PR120
4. Band of Roses: names of two silks I used are Soie d'Alger 1416 and Dinky Dyes Pacific Ocean.
5. Brian of the channel Blitstitch has created an app for apple devices called "XS Journal"

Amazing! I can't believe you have time to work ;) Happy New Year Brenda and Catherine x
Thank You Sian!! Happy New Year to you as well!
You stitch so many beautiful things and have such wonderful progress!
Hello Boss Daughter! I LOVE your new HAED!!! ❤
Thank You Angela!
Magnificent work! I just discovered your channel and have been reviewing the other videos you have made. I enjoy your videos while working on my projects but I limit myself to only two at a time.
Thank You!!! I think just working on two at a time would be wonderful as well. I did that for many years and really enjoyed it :) And I also love to watch Flosstube while I stitch!
Happy New Year to you, Brenda and the whole family. 🎉🍀 It is so heartwarming to see you with each of your kids 💖
Thank you for all you do on flosstube. Enjoy every issue of your colorful journey 😍 Hugs from over the pond, Nad!ne
Thank You Nadine! Happy New Year to you as well :)
@@Handworkmaniac thank you 💖
Hi! This was a lot of fun. Thank you both! 🤗⚘️⚘️
Yes, I did go back to watch Catherine's HAED videos - how to stitch and finished.😁
Oh good, thank you Margaret!
Totally enjoyed every minute of the video. It felt like I was visiting "old friends" when I saw your projects. So inspiring! Plus I loved the banter back and forth, please do it again soon!
Thank You Leesalie! I always enjoy filming with her. And I feel the same way when I watch other WIP parades, love seeing all the familiar projects again!! :)
Only just saw the first few minutes, and I'm already thinking: this is just what I need, after the day I've had today. It does me so much good to have these few cozy hours with you, thank you Brenda and Catherine!
I'm so glad!!!!! I hope your week gets better :)
I enjoyed watching this with you and your daughter. So much interaction. And I liked your WIPs. And that you have many. As a fellow process stitcher, we have to keep our brains engaged! Did you talk in this video about the program you use to track projects?
Thank You Anita! Oh my goodness, I forgot to talk about that!!! The program is made by Brian at "Blitstitch" and is called "XS Journal". The logo has a black background and a red needle and thread. It is awesome! And I will talk about it in my next video in a few weeks :) Thanks for the reminder!
I just started a max color HADE, it is my first. Knowing you are working on more than one blows my mind. Brenda you rock! Good luck Catherine!
Thank You!! And good luck, I love how full coverage uses a different part of my brain :)
Great to see you and Boss Daughter again and I really enjoyed your WIP parade even if it was full of enabling! Just wondering - how do you decide what to stitch on next with all those wonderful WIPs?
Hi Lynette! That is a great question, lol. I have been sick, as soon as my voice comes back I will film a video about my 2023 plans and how I choose my rotation :)
@@Handworkmaniac I hope you’re feeling better by now, Brenda! Looking forward to hearing the answer to my question!
Great WIP parade, Brenda! I cannot wait to see your Montages progress, especially! Good to see boss daughter!
Thank You!!!
Brenda it was great seeing you and meeting your lovely daughter. I absolutely love your projects, but the Russian books are just stunning. I’m very glad you have it back in your rotation. I can’t wait to see what you are up to next. Love and blessings to you and your family for 2023. Xx

Hi there, I’m a new subscriber from New Zealand. This was such a fun video… loved it!
Thank You ! And Welcome!!!
I loved seeing all of your wips. You are an inspiration! It is also fun to have one of your daughters on with you. My daughter's did not get the stitching gene 😢
Thank You Kimber! I do enjoy stitching with my daughters and daughter-in-laws. Maybe you will have a grandchild that stitches :) Or you could mentor a young stitcher that does not have anyone in their family who stitches :)
I live in Las Vegas and I absolutely love stitches paradise. I could spend a whole day in that store.
I agree! And I have definitely been in there for several hours straight, lol! Fabulous store, you are so lucky to live nearby :)
Beautiful to see you both. Enjoy all the wips!
Thank You Nelly!
Hi to you both! Hope neither of you are getting ill, you do sound very snuffly.
Loved seeing all your many WIPs, Brenda - definitely more than me 😂
I love all the stories they come with, and how many start with "my friend saw this and I just had to start it!"
Friends really are what make the world go round. Here's to a fabulous year!
Kat x
Thank You Kat!!! I am surprised I don't have a WIP that starts with "I saw Kat working on this . . .", lol!! I think Catherine is fine, but I was coming down with a cold that day that I am still trying to recover from. As soon as my voice comes back I will film the end of year videos I talked about. I always enjoy hearing from you :)
Brenda loved watching your WIP Parade it was relaxing and fun to watch. Enjoyed watching your Boss daughter she is a hoot. Loved it!!!. Look forward to seeing your next video. In the meantime Happy New Year. Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless

That was SO MUCH FUN!!
Yay! I am so glad :)
Lol that is funny how your daughters are stitchers too. I just checked stitchy marie and she is a hoot. Congrats on your new grandbaby! They look like you, but its interesting how you're so calm and you had two spitfire daughters.
Thank You! Yes, they are more like my husband's personality :)
Loved your WIP parade Benda! So glad I watched your video. I've been asked how long it takes me to make a retreat tote. I now know that it takes 2 hours and 17 minutes! 😂
Thank You Tammy!!! LOL, laughing hard!!!!!!!!! I LOVE your bags, you are amazing :)
Hi Brenda and Boss Daughter such an epic fun flosstube with all the gorgeous projects. I’m sure will be following along your progress. Happy New Year to you both. May the year be a great and blessed one, filled with lots of cross stitching time 🎉❤💐

Thank You Christy! I am glad someone likes all the yammering on, lol.
Great WIP parade Brenda! I think I watched it in 3 different segments. Loved the addition of Boss Daughter and all her comments! I have a question - how did you kit up the Chatelaine Medieval Town hanging on your wall? That’s on my list of things I want to stitch.
Thank You Beth! For Medeival Town Mandala I bought the materials kit from EuropeanCrossStitch.com. They are fabulous :)
Wishing you and all your family a healthy and happy 2023🥳. I was going to ask last week if Catherine would be coming on your channel again! And what a wonderful surprise this week to see her.😀 Thank you for taking the time to go through your WIPs Brenda. See you tomorrow or Wednesday with your plans. Stay saf🤗🇬🇧
Loving tonight's video. Lots of laughing!
Thank You!!! I always enjoy filming with Catherine :) I have been very sick since I filmed the video, as soon as my voice comes back I will film the end of year videos I talked about :) Happy New Year!
