Do you just put them in straight alcohol or is it a mix of water and alcohol?

why don't you use a larger container for the stage 1 dunk so you can put the print bed in?

Thank you, do you ever take the supports off before you do your first wash? I just started and use Water-Washable ABS Like resin. I take the supports off, wash the part in dirty water, then put into my Elegoo Mercury wash station. The wash station says to use IPA instead of water. The wash ipa is very clean.

One thing I'm surprised about is the effect of IPA and the ability for (proper) masks to block the vapors. A mask is very important to use when cleaning with IPA.
I also do some sanding afterwards, which definitely requires a proper mask. (Also, I rub the sanded areas while immersed in IPA to safely remove the plastic without it being released into the wild.)

That’s an interesting tip about the sanding in IPA. I’m lazy and don’t sand so not been an issue, but worth knowing for those who do.

I wasn’t going to add it to this video originally as I know there are others who will cover it much better than I can, but I figured that there might be some who watch my channel and if I never at least cover it slightly then it could be overlooked.

Where did you get the metal basket for dunking in the IPA? The only thing I can think to search is deep fryer baskets but they arent the right shape of handle and are $30

It came with my wash and cure machine. Maybe search for replacement wash baskets for the elegoo mercury and see if any come up.

Would you suggest using a resin printer in a garage with the door open? Or would you still use a mask?

One of the issues I've seen come up is that there can be a blast of resin air when taking the lid off your printer, so theres still a chance of breathing it in. You're minimizing risks with the garage door open which is good, but depending on the weather you might start to get failed prints if it's cold. I'm currently moving my printers into the garage and I'll be using a grow tent and a vent to exhaust the air outside, so maybe something like that could work if you've already got things setup in the garage.

i would not recomend using a toothbrush. Toothbrushes will spray tiny bits of your cleaning solution up onto your arms above your gloves, leading to rashes. I speak from experience.
