Hello Friends! When do you clean up Christmas? Do you wait for after Epiphany? Do you take everything down after Candlemas? Or the day after Christmas? It's not a salvation issue I'm just curious:)
We took down our Christmas decor the day after Epiphany as well. Such a sweet and cozy video! We live north of St Paul (I love all of the Peanuts decorations they have around the Twin Cities) and we have some Charlie Brown Christmas decorations too. They’re so cute! 🎄
@@ACatholicMomsLife Hello friend, I always cleaned everything from Christmas on Epiphany day. But this year a priest told me that the correct date to clean is the next Sunday after Epiphany. In Brazil, most people clean everything on Epiphany day.
@@ACatholicMomsLife I love your videos, I really admire your dedication to teaching your children our Catholic faith. Unfortunately, many families have lost their faith in this difficult world. Congratulations on your dedication, you have a beautiful family.
We as well take everything down the weekend following epiphany as to honor the 12 days of Christmas and also the weekend is just convenient given our busy life.
I decorate at our Catholic Church and the priest said not to undecorate until after the baptism of the Lord mass. So we still have another Sunday to enjoy the beautiful decorations!!❤
Hello my dear, I am Brazilian and a Roman Catholic with much love. Every year I always take down my nativity scene and Christmas tree on January 6th, the day of the Three Wise Men, but this year I found out from a priest that the correct date to take down the Christmas decorations is on the day that the liturgical season of Christmas ends, that is, after the celebration of the baptism of Jesus, which will be next Sunday. So on Monday the 13th, the common liturgical season begins, when we should take down everything related to Christmas. Congratulations on your channel, sorry for my bad English. God bless you and your family.
I heard (for the first time this year) that the Vatican leaves all of the decorations up until Feb 2 - when Jesus was dedicated at the Temple! Apparently it's the "40 Day of Christmas"! My husband would flip if I left everything up until Feb 2 lol!
I didn't even put my artificial tree up until December 22nd and it only has two ornaments on it because I've been too lazy to get out the rest of the ones I wanted to put on it. I probably will definitely not put away my small nativity set until February 2nd maybe that evening because February 2nd is a Sunday this year.
What a great video, Heather. Thanks again for sharing a piece of your routine with us. I cant wait to begin the rosary praying with you in a few months
That was a great post, Heather! Very motivational!❄️🎄 we keep our Christmas up until the epiphany and then I transition to a more winter vibe but leave the nativity up (I usually switch it up a bit adding or taking away stuff or move it) until Feb 2nd (the end of the Christmas season) the Feast of the Presentation also known as Candlemas. 🕯️🕯️🙏🏼❤️ we usually keep singing silent night until then too. 🎶 🎶🎶🎶
I have 2 Nativity sets of Fontanini from my mom and grandma. I love getting them out every year! As you said, they are very durable! I am not always a fan of trends but I love the bows! So pretty on clothes, shoes, hair and home decor!
Lovely video!💖 This weekend as The Baptism of the Lord is fast approaching. 😊 We Try to follow the liturgical calender best we can. Last year, we took our tree down after candlemas. However, we got a real Christmas tree this year and its time to do the undecorating, unfortunately. I will transition to winterizing our home, though. 🤗 I do love interior design.😍 Can't wait for more vlogs! But, I love everything you post! God Bless Always Heather!😇💕🌠
Oh Heather, I love love love your beautiful Mary and baby Jesus picture… ❤ Coming from Australia, snow is so foreign to me.. I’m 56 and I still have never experienced snow falling from the sky.. one day I hope to.
Great peaceful Christmas clean up video. We also wait until the baptism of Jesus to put away our Christmas Nativity and decorations including outdoor lights. I know most families are in a rush to end the season but it's probably because they start enjoying the liturgical season early. Happy and blessed New Year to you and your viewers.
There are small acrylic boxes on Amazon that would be perfect for that precious ornament your son made for you 😊 it would support it and you can display it every year. My children are grown and I am making a larger 12x14 display for myself of things from their childhood. And one from our wedding memories 😌
I just put away my Christmas decor today. My house looks like a storm blew through it! You gave me a great idea to use those vacuum bags to store decor. I’m going to do that! I love how your house is decorated ❤
I loved this video, Heather, and seeing your helpers. I always leave our decorations up until after Epiphany. I put most away today, except for a few snowmen and the Nativity. I was ready toctake a break and saw your video was posted. So here I am! I'll leave our window candles up for awhile. We have Snowmaggedon here in Ohio, too! ❄️🥶 Happy new year, and stay safe! ❤
Thanks for taking us along. My dad was Russian orthodox, so I usually wait until after the orthodox new year to take everything down. I'm so grateful you're here !
Heather, I LOVED this vlog! I’m a 32 year old mom of two & I look up to you so much. Thank you for sharing all of your tips. Your family is beautiful ❤ god bless you!
Such Beautiful!! Christmas decorations Heather… Love all your videos, beautiful figurines too… A beautiful blessed New Year ahead Heather… Enjoy!! your “snow day “ ❄️⛄️ … God Bless 🙏✝️❤️
I wonder if laundry spray starch would work to add some protection to your adorable ornament from your son? Maybe experiement a little with some other paper/cardboard that isn't as precious. That is absolutely at treasure!!
Heather, you live in Virginia..? My daughter is at UVA university in Charlottesville . I love your chanel by the way ! You are such a inspiration ! God bless you and your beautiful family!

i used to think manifesting was all about repeating affirmations and hoping for the best. i tried it for months and…nothing. i was so frustrated. then i heard about this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and how it breaks down the science and energy behind manifestation. it’s like it flipped a switch in my brain. once i started applying what i learned, things started falling into place like never before. worth checking out if you’re serious about manifesting.
a while back, i hit a point where i felt like everything was out of my control. i kept wondering why other people seemed to get what they wanted while i was stuck in the same place. then i came across this book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. i wasn’t expecting much, but the way it explains the connection between your energy and the life you create? it blew my mind. it’s not just a book, it’s like a blueprint for turning your life around.

Nice! The longer to have Christmas around the better! 😁✨💕 in Venezuela some people keep them up until Feb 2nd, the day of La Candelaria
@@GraceOfGuadalupethat’s what’s done in many homes in Venezuela!
Traditionally the tree was left up till candlemas n for the last three years I’ve done this.
Traditional Catholics celebrate the Christmas season until February 2nd (Candlemas) and traditionally the Christmas tree is up until then.
