Deputy governor is not voted for in any Nigerian constitution, but chosen by the governor, who shares the ticket with him. That is why it was easy for Asiwaju to sack both Bucknor Akeredolu and Femi Pedro, as his deputy governors, when he was a sitting governor. They're not elected or voted for.
I'm not certain the lady has the mandate of her superiors to reveal this much info to Channels news, but the executive council of the state and party leadership will know how to handle any issues that might arise from the current political imbroglio in that state. Akeredolu should resign, look after his health and free himself from the travails of state issues.

However, note that after an aspiring deputy has been selected by the governorship candidate and they re both voted into office, the ticket now becomes a joint ticket. Both of them enjoy the same level of immunity and none of them can be removed from office without due process being followed.
Coercing an elected official into signing an undated resignation letter is akin to kidnapping for ransom. Such practice should be condemned in it’s totality.

Most people here commenting are hypocrites ,What the president did was to install peace between the Executive and the legislative arm bcos both the deputy governor and the State assembly are in legal battle ,even the deputy was in the stage of being impeach and if the Governor wanted him out there's nothing anyone can do as long the majority of the house members are with the governor but the president in his wisdom brought in a strategy to bring peace for both of the camp by asking the deputy to sign undated resignation letter in case in the future he misbehave towards his boss or the state assembly then the president will ask him to step down without argument with proof of agreement but for now the deputy governor keep his job as long there's peace between them
