Nick, I did wind up buying the ice spike for the lizard. Gonna try to do the spikes in glo color. Thanks for the tip and the loss of $110 out of my pocket!.. Damn those are tiny..tweezers is a must.
This was awesome and my first encounter with your channel. I really appreciate your mindset and approach to bait pouring. Totality agree re: not competing with others and pouring baits to share and use yourself. I just got my hands on the nugget mold and starting pouring with it last night. I tried pouring into the mold without heating the mold as I don’t have a hot plate. Do you think I could heat the mold with a heat gun? I know the precision and control will be lacking versus a hot plate. My main issue is the top of the bait caves in as the pastic cools faster on the outside than inside.
Hey Matthew, thanks for checking out my channel!!! I appreciate your kind words!! Im not sure about not using a hot plate. A lot of cold cracking can occur if the mold is not all the same temp. You can definitely try to make it work!!! The biggest piece of advice I can give you, is try new things and don't be scared to fail. Every maker out there fails a ton. Be the good ones learn from it!!! Keep on pouring my friend!!!
Awesome video, killer looking baits and neat techniques.I love the q tip trick and the tooth pick. I'm gonna try that but with a needle or a T pin.(maybe get a few ready and do multiple colors.)
That's a different technique for sure. I feel you on not selling baits. Making baits the way I want can definitely take multiple hours even if some of that time is wait time. Your right, how do you price that on a soft plastic bait that looks amazing but could get shredded by the first fish.
Awesome video Nick. If we all used the same technique it would be boring. Your doing an excellent job at bait making and your videos. Keep up the awesome work man. Much respect from Australia.
Glad you're back...its been a while. You really need to post more vids. You are one of the most enjoyable you tubers that i view. Tight lines brother...
I really appreciate the kind words!!! I have so much fun filming, but time doesn't always allow me to do as much as I want. Thanks for checking out the channel!!!
Definitely gonna subscribe, world's worst fishing brought me here 😂 Cool channel dude. I say this to all the UA-cam bait makers, but no luck so far😂, but if you want to send out some sample baits out here in Southern California??? I'll definitely be a willing participant to sample out some baits.
Another awesome video. And I love those big ol grub worm baits
I'll definitely try to do more if that's what you like!!! Thanks for checking out the cave!!!
Extremely helpful video! Thanks Nick!!
Yeah man!!!! The big question is...... are you addicted to bait making yet???
@@TheBaitCave Yes! I’m already shopping for hot plates to see if it can help my difficulties 😂
I'm always here if you have any questions!!!

Very cool technique, I would think that by doing the multiple skin pours you can get some 3d type effects?
