I grew up in Napa, CA. In our neighborhood all of the streets were named after places in the mountains. Yosemite, Lassen, Shasta, etc. And then there was Tallac. I didn't know until today where that name came from. You never stop learning. Good hike, nice views. Thanks for taking the video and taking me along
I came down that talus field with a full pack and bear can in August. It was a brutal knee and ankle grinder - a really slow hike. I can’t even imagine doing that in the rain!
Very interesting and beautiful view at the end. Thank you for posting and God bless!

I'm from Napa, too. Did you go to school at Bel Aire?

I see. I went to Northwood. Had a lot of friends from Bel Aire in Jr. and Sr. High School. Small world.
I missed your vids, glad to see you outside enjoying nature!
Glad to get some hiking in…you have been doing quite a bit!!!

I was wearing Hoka Speed Goat 5 trail shoes and was surprised at the grip they offered on the wet rocks…I did not slip.
Beautiful!
I did this trail a year ago Oct 2022 (2nd time)...and it is brutally rocky! Great views!
I did have some good views at the lower elevation, I will have to do it again on a clear day.
slow is smooth, smooth is fast
