Some additional tips: Invest in a decent coffee grinder (NOT one of these cheapo blade grinders) and get a non-pressurized portafilter. Always grind freshly before you brew, don’t store ground coffee. Get a scale with timer and adjust your brew ratio: 1:2.5 (i.e. 18g ground coffee in, 45g espresso out) in about 25 seconds.
Short, to the point . . . I LOVED IT!
You’re subtly funny 😹 love it!
Appreciate! Very nice tips!
hi friend i have question This machine good for small cafe ?
How much coffee for double shot basket?
Did you manually program it or is that the default timing when you pulled the shots
I manually programmed it. It's very easy to program... you just have to press and hold the single (or the double) shot button during the time that you want to set. For example, press and hold the single shot button for 10 seconds and the next time you press it, the machine will run for 10 seconds.
So for a single shot of espresso which is 7-9 grams, how long should it pull the shots? And, how much should it weigh?
@@alvinjanserna 1:2 ratio. 14 grams of Espresso for 7 grams of coffee. During 25-30 seconds
What grind size would you recommend for this machine?
Grind seems inconsistent. Tip number 1, and most important. Use unpressurised porta filter! Use much finer grind!
@@nemanjastanimirov2684 that is fine, but i already bought this machine that has pressurized basket, i am a newbie, i know :) When i use fine "espresso" size grind, the machine is struggling to make a coffee. I am wondering if it would help to try with more coarse grind size?
@@velitzar you didnt understand, i meant to grind finer after you buy unpressurised basket. I have the same dedica and i have bought unpressurised bottomless porta filter from e bay. 16g of coffee and 32-36g of coffee. Perfect! And if u use bottomless u can see the flow. U musnt have flushing, its very distinguished, u will know when its perfect. So first
Unpressurised, then good tamper, very fine grind (but less than turkish), good tamp and 36g of drink in 25-28 seconds.
@Ann_Melanie 51mm double basket, and naked porta filter bought on ali express, made for delonghi dedica, and for me works exellent. I use naked so i can spot channeling and spraying (which is very common if distribution and tamp are not good). Just search one which are made for your Machine, if you have delonghi dedica, search for dedica, and see if the seller has a lot of orders and good marks. Unpressurised allows you to have much finer grind which will extract better coffee.

You can check here how my shot was which i posted on ig. Not perfect but i could notice mistake so the next one be better.
I moved on when I saw Starbucks coffee bags
Is this satire?
Sorry but it seems that you have no clue what a proper shot should look like
Dont be mean. Clearly he is/was at the beginning of his coffee journey. He is using an to him unclear amount of stored pre-ground coffee in a pressurised basket. Come on. Why am I even on here...that's the bigger question. Lol.
5 tips everyone already freaking knows.
