A 94 Celica to be exact 😂😂😂
LOL! In all fairness, I have been running Camrys and have had 0 issues with them for decades, he isnt wrong about Toyotas XD
LOL the one car he is an expert in.
Yeah I have and he's 100% right... 99 Camry, 303k miles now... Bought it one year old with 14k on it... Maintain it fairly well but not religiously by the book... Never had one very expensive or hard to perform repair. Most of them I do myself besides things like Timing belt service or new lower control arms because the rubber bushings were shot... Motor and transmission has never had to be apart. Still runs and drives better then some new cars I have driven. Extremely quiet inside, AC blows cold, everything works as it should, only have had to replace blower resistor once to updated resistor $15 from the dealer, 3 radiators I do it myself in 30 - 45 minutes in my driveway, both electric cooling fan motors once and a new set of brushes in the original alternator last year $8 online, 1 hour job in my driveway. Amazing reliable car and quiet inside... Most new cars have too much road noise inside then for me! Even has original exhaust system and muffler!!!
I think if it were up to Scotty we would all be driving 20 year old Toyotas with oxidized paint
Yeah, he should give away one each week 😆!
only in a perfect world would we have a 20 year old Toyota with bad paint .... but, I ain't givin' up till we get there

Thanks Scotty you just solved a problem for me with my battery going flat and it was one of those stupid cheap adapters...
Hey Scotty, once again you the man. Thank you for letting us know about the phone / device charger adapter. I use one to change my phone but I don't use it all the time. Turns out probably a good thing. Lol
Im an old car tech( military mechanic/dealer/independent shops) from the 90"s, i had a big life change so to speak, so I started doing some auto service again for some friends, my primary customer got a used 97" Toyota Camry 4-cyl(114k mi), it is clean with no rust but was behind/neglected, i told him once it is caught up on service/repairs it will be a real superstar, it now passes legit emissions insp, runs great/good power/ handles well again, nice unit that is paid for, (I use Rockauto parts). I also svc his girlfriends 96"Honda Civicc LX(it also passes legal emission insp)- Bro Scotty is the real deal auto Tech(not a parts changer)- I found this channell doing tech update info for a 2002 Ford F-150 , I automatically recognized this man as a good/honest/ qualified mechanic, ya"ll pay attention & you will benefit from his hard earned skillset.
I have read so much, well pouty crap from men(Boys) who are unreasonable rude & insulting to Scottie & its clearly because of their own issues like insecurity, lots of mouth with little knowledge, pouty petty jealousy. They just haven't grown up and felt respect from other males. I was taught to look at what I liked in another person and to emulate & aspire, to become knowledgeable and respect the accomplishments of others. But instead of looking at other men with respect for their accomplishments & their hard earned knowledge they are childishly rude & insulting. If they want to be comedians they are just too damn silly to realize this Isnt a comedy channel. Humor in a conversation does not include rude insults Involving the man your speaking to. Comedy & humor are not the same, duh!
Sir, it's so refreshing to read the remarks from a confident grown man. I am hopeful your example will give guidance to boys who might get that with years comes knowledge, how to offer respect to another man and mostly how a man speaks of or to another man. You have both my respect and gratitude.
What? You service his girlfriends? You dirty dog. Hee-haw!
63W? I was one from ‘86 to ‘88 (re-enlisted to be a 74F).
@@anonymike8280 Not too hard to see who the real dirty dog here is. Show some respect...
@@davidhamilton506 It's Scotty Kilmer. His agitation incites flights of thought. I drive old cars myself, I know all about fixing all the neglected s*** on them. In the bad old days of American cars with cast iron 6's and V-8's, when I got a used car, sometimes it took me a year to fix all the bad work done by previous owners. I even found instances of inarguable mechanic sabotage done to set up more repairs. In today's cars, all you see are the consequences of neglect, sometimes motivated by the understandable unwillingness of the previous owners to pay shop rates for little s*** like drive axles or struts. The problem is, the sellers often want to take only the price of the repair off the book value. If they thought their car was worth so much, why don't they fix and then sell it for full price?
Let people have their fun. You don't know half the story.
This world needs more mechanics like Scotty, who adapts to new technology and finds solotions to modern problems
Modern problems require modern solutions. Sorry, I had to say it.
*finds modern solutions to modern problems. Fixed that for ya.
hes not making a solution for anything. guys a knobhead. there is no AC in a 12 to 5v step down
ty so much for all ur videos! gonna try this too for my 09 caliber... keep trying all your other suggestions for my lighting bolt trying to avoid a 155 buck diagnostic
Thanks Scotty...being a widow you make my fear of autos almost non existent. Learning from you has empowered my ability to avoid a lot of anxiety when it comes to cars both in purchasing and repairs!
He's a widow? How did that happen, supposedly?
It make take your fear away, but it scares me to death. I sure don't want a new car.
This guy is such a character. I love him. Subscribed!
While I agree with RF interfering with car systems, its not wireless frequencies that's causing the interference. Its RF being fed back into the car's wiring.
A simple fix we've used in the past is adding a DC line noise filter on the plugs you are using.
It depends on if the alien probes are plugged into the noise filtered plugs or not :)
Your reply makes little sense. Wireless frequencies and RF are pretty much one and the same.
May I ask for a product or some information on what we are talking about, thanks,
There all grounded
Isn't that for audio noise coming through the line from ignition and such, which suppresses those noises, as opposed to the inaudible RF frequencies?
Great having you around.
I watch many of your posts and have a new understanding. Thanks Scotty
I love you Scotty, I always learn something from you! As a woman, it is wonderful to have a resource for automotive information! Thank you!
SCOTTY THE KIND of guy to say that a Toyota coffee cup is the most reliable way to drink coffee
nuh uh
Hes a bit obsessed but overall tries steer you right. Toyota is good for cars not trucks. Ford rules trucks an Scotty concurs!
Hey it’s the truth 😂🍸
Neal Burnham 🤣so funny
@@thetruth9952 yeah My friend ran his 1990 to 600k miles, with no engine rebuld.

THANK YOU FRIEND &
GOOD SHEPARD SCOTTY !!!
He’s absolutely right about using one of these 12v plugs. I have a Infiniti Q50 and it caused my car to completely shut off while driving. Infiniti S.W. Houston told me it caused 63 OBD 2 codes to pop up. They were about to recommend that I change out BCM and other expensive sensors computers, costing me $8k. But luckily we caught problem in time.
