Sr Chalice man, Bobby brown used to make some good music back n the days. How did his talent fade away though? His voice or pretty much all of the new edition crew seems to of lost their voices.
Slick Wit it will Bobby abused his gifts. He's basically the old classic story of Hicarus flying too close to the sun. And as for the rest of the crew they didn't really lose their voices. It's more like they got older and their voices changed. Hard to sound like little boys when they are grown ass men. But Bobby brown straight up abused his voice and he lost it. He was never able to gain it back and I think that probably sent him down an even worse spiral. See bobby's vocal range was probably around Alto close to soprano. Altos and sopranos SHOULD NEVER SMOKE. No singer should PERIOD. But altos and sopranos are higher register, they need to have a clean voice.
Sr Chalice yeah Bobby was smoking crack or coke. But I think it also has a lot to do wit wear and tear. Say if Bobby never smoked, just how he would project his voice in his songs, that's gotta put some strain on the voice box. Especially all those concerts he did. It's like a teacher who has to constantly be yelling at the students to shut up cus they don't behave. Until she or he loses their voice for a week or so. I bet Bobby probably had to lip sync some of his concerts at times. And many other singer's.
