The 2024 World KidWind Challenge will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The event will be co-located with the Collegiate Wind Competition.
Same entry rules as always! You must be invited to this event In Minnesota by your local event coordinator or through our central office in order to attend.
KidWind Worlds will have two competitions: the World Wind Turbine Challenge and World Solar Challenge.
The World Wind Turbine Challenge will have three grade-level divisions this year: (1) 4-5th Grade Division; (2) 6-8th Grade Division; (3) 9-12th Grade Division. Turbines within these divisions will be divided into the following categories: KidWind Generator, Homebuilt Generator, Open Generator (non-KidWind, pre-made generator).
The World Solar Challenge will have three divisions: (1) 4-5th Grade Division; (2) 6-8th Grade Division; (3) 9-12th Grade Division.
Invitations will been sent out on an ongoing basis through the end of the KidWind Challenge season. Teams must register by Monday, April 1st.
