As someone who works in retails- we tend to trust people with children the least, especially if there is a pram/buggy. I work in clothing retail as an assistant manager and can confirm our biggest thieves are women who try to shove things in their prams or get their children to steal for them (usually small things like jewellery).
Who thought it was a good idea to let Simon and Harry react to criminals outsmarting the police they both taking notes and giving idea's to others 8:48 cause they are very experienced at this the pros giving tips and tricks to the beginners
In the first video, I actually live in the town close to where that prison is in Pennsylvania, it was the most insane man hunt for weeks. People had to keep all their doors locked and avoid going out, cops shut down miles of roads in every direction. It’s an areas where there is so much open land, farms, woods for dude to hide in, etc. The story from start to finish was actually nuts, they had to call in special forces from the government to help catch him
In some countries, I think this applies in Germany for example, it is not actually illegal to escape prison, the argument being that the pursuit for personal freedom is a human right, but you will still be sent back to serve the remainder of your existing sentence if you are caught again.
Fun fact, in most countries you are legally allowed to escape prison. You just have to make sure you're not damaging prison property, and that you're not stealing prison wear or run out naked, which is where they catch you.
In by legally you mean no additional charges will be made and your sentence not extended (as long as not doing what you said)? Still, they’ll catch you and throw you back in prison
So where I live we had a string of robberies invovling tractors like that. They kept getting stolen from different construction sites early in morning then left on side of road. Turned out one key worked for every CAT vehicle, so they lifted a key and then could use any excavator they wanted.
Very similar situation where I live a few years back. They also started a habit of putting explosives on cash machines and blowing the front off. I think some people got caught eventually but not too sure.
In my opinion Simon,Harry, and Ethan are the best sidemen members. They always bring amazing energy and haven’t let anything change them from the beginning.
To answer Simon’s question at 8:56, if you help or make your child steal something you can be charged with the same crime. At least in USA, I’d assume the UK has a similar law
The guy who hid in the giant slinky was indeed fake. It was from a Scottish tv show called Scot Squad where it’s follows scottish policemen on duty. It’s a very silly program
We need a Sidemen Sunday or a MoreSidemen video where the lads try to debunk myths or try out crazy things they could pull off like Simon trying to gwt out of Handcuffs or breaking weird UK laws or something like that.
The dude in the first clip scaling the wall to escape prison happened right around the corner from me. There were constant lock downs every few nights and police and swat lining the streets everywhere. BTW he was in prison for murder. He killed someone in Brazil, then again in PA
2 Sidemen Sunday Ideas; First Sunday, Sidemen escape from a 'prison' created by UA-camrs/fans/team Second Sunday, Sidemen on the run, hunted by UA-camrs, whoever gets the farthest wins
i understand you not wanting to tell people how the tesla theft was done, but il say how it was done and how to stop it. its a radio relay, they amplify the signal from the key to get it started. simple to stop, get a rfid blockng box (or a box wrapped in tinfoil) and keep your keys away from the front of he house where car is parked.
In that first clip that inmate was Danelo Cavalcante. He was wanted back in his home country Bridal for a prior homicide and in the US he was sentenced with first degree murder and in Pennsylvania that means it's life without the possibility of parole because he had stabbed his girl friend 38 times to death in front of her two kids. There was like 500 law enforcement officers involved in the manhunt for him which lasted 11 days. He was also armed with a rifle that he stole after breaking into someone's home. The prison years prior had an escape like this before. The tower guard was out on administrative leave but was soon fired. Its jarring to know that the guard wasn't doing their job, they have live ammunition in case situations like this occur. So as much as these escapes are cool to watch, it's scary knowing there is a dangerous person on the loose branding a rifle. We also don't get every detail of who the criminals are either which makes us want to root for those escapees.
In germany you are allowed to attempt prison escape as long as you don’t harm anyone, destroy any property, steal something or use weapons to threaten people, of course you will get followed and if you get caught no extra time will be applied since its a human right to try and escape and be free. Let me reiterate, you are allowed to try and escape, if you do escape no extra time will be given. However, if you damage property, threaten people, steal something or injure someone you will get extra time. If you don’t do any of that, it is seen as human right to try and escape.
the clip of the guy dolphin diving out of the window is a kid from my very small town high school and every single time it appears in these react videos I am so caught off guard lmao
8:53 i work in Loss prevention (Glorified Security) for big stores and this method is actually used pretty often, using children for theft And no, never trust anyone more just for a child, or even if they are "old and frail" they are some of the most common methods used by organised thieves.
That first guy was really close to where I live. He fled from Brazil after murdering someone there, and then eventually made his way to the US. When his girlfriend learned that he had killed someone in Brazil, she threatened to snitch, and he stabbed her (I think it was 20 something times). He was on the run for 2 weeks, and it was insane to see all that police presence, on main roads there was probably a cop every 1/4 mile
so the first guy murdered his ex-girlfriend in front of her kids, as well as being wanted for a gang-related murder in brazil. i live in pennsylvania, and the manhunt was wild. classes were cancelled, businesses were closed, everyone was on high alert. roads were closed down by the fbi, drove past federal agents and everything. also, it was the second time someone escaped from that prison in the exact same way.
The "digger" was stolen as well was the trailblazer in the atm theft. The problem these days is that they legitimately track them from satellites and will not only be able to see where it is but also the path it took to get there so further camera evidence can be collected along the route and potentially they could use satellite imagery to show your every move afterwards and negate any disguise or alibi you might use.
Fun fact in the netherlands if you do manage to escape a prison without hurting someone else or breaking something and get caught again. You dont get extra time for escaping
I don’t know if it’s the same one as in the video, but in NZ someone used a digger to rob a joint and it really narrowed down the list of who it could be, because only certain people could operate them and had access to them
The giving someone else something tagged whilst shoplifting is common. Fake pregnancy bellies full of stuff whilst the ‘husband’ openly holds something tagged whilst talking to the woman apologises and hands it to the security whilst she walks through
the one that the guy hides in the fake tube off the building is a tv show up here in scotland called scot squad haha its obvs not real they take the mick out scottish police lol
Context for the excavator/atm clip. A lot of construction companies/crews will leave the keys to heavy machinery in the vehicle, or on the job site in the United States. It was pretty common for people in the area to take bobcats and other machinery for joy rides lol
Yooo, that first one his kids went to my elementary school, I’m in high school. A lot of school around us got canceled and we were put on lock down when he first escaped
The jcb one is done in Ireland. They would steal a JCB (which is worth more than the money they are getting) then dump it somewhere and take the money.
Simon and Harry make a great react duo because they are the two that actually react to the videos the most.
Ksi solo reacts more than these two
