I love how the thing Daf seems to be really good at is tp'ing out of danger. It's perfect for Daf because it's both hype to get off but not as helpful as practicing, say, last hitting or armlet toggling haha
The impression I get of scrub dota is that when a team gets a huge lead early, it more often than not, ends up with the other team making a comeback. So in effect: The better you do early, the lower your chance of winning.
A lot of this is because they just let the their carry free farm. becoming huge. and not taking enough objectives or scaring the team away from the lanes. but you see that a lot don't you.
There is a reason that the game calls that "80 chance to win" because it knows that if it somewhat competent players they will use the advantage to prevent the enemy team from building back up for a combat. Not here though.
The pain on Joe's voice in the opening of the video Rough I feel for you joe~ To me, it is entertaining to watch you tilt in the yogslive videos lol Knowing that daf will never get better haha
I know we aren't supposed to flame team and I'm not saying our golden child didn't have some goofs but that jug was agressively shite, blink diving t4s I genuinely think they could've ended there if not for GIBBONRY. And then the rubick just typing gg and abandoning is absolutely gutless. I'm glad Daf has learned to toggle now he just needs to not waddle around in fights and we're cooking with gas. Always love the casts but this one made me feel like I need a long nap and several cigarettes after the pounding my heart took seeing the tides turn.
Man this poor Rubick is like the reason I quit Dota. I remember playing those games, where I start off crushing the lane for my carry, making rotations, getting flashy kills, and then you find out your cores have brain damage. Suddenly you get caught out when you thought you were ahead, because you didn't quite realize that your carry feeding twice has turned this into an even game, and then you just get tilted into oblivion and play like absolute dogshit. Meanwhile, this TA numerically was contributing less than nothing to the Dire, and ends the game with +25 mmr. What should have been an easy win is turned into an agonizing lost because none of your cores have a functioning thought in their brain other than "Hit creep" and "Dive."
It's not a replay bug. It's a naga bug, if you have the mirrors without riptide leveled it just constantly has it happen. Also... It still upsets me that daff doesn't know he can a click other heroes and creeps to trade tower aggro. Him constantly armlet toggling or leaving it on while the tower hits him is just... it's a laguna blade waiting to happen.
There are for sure some people who think a support is just a ward purse. I keep the sight wards as support, I love a good counter ward fight, but when a mid calls for me to bring them wards and set them up right where they are standing, they bite the big one.
Sure, Daf has misplays this game, but you can't say that there is some gutless and purely idiotic behaviour from the Rubick and the Jug here. Rubick stealing song gets Daf killed, and Jug trying to solo the Naga nearly costs him his life - not to mention never getting a BKB so he can attack through song. And Rubick just giving up... god, it's more infuriating to watch in the replay than it was live. Just fucking sits in fountain, decides there isn't anything more he can do, despite there clearly being plenty of room to win the game. That ult from Treant when they were both invis... Bonkers shit.
No surprise they lost this, at scrub level the team in the lead almost never tries to end the game early and then the other team gets the comeback because in this case they simply had 4 potential carries and better lategame. Even the TA who was 0-13 started destroying them because the game went on so long.
It's been a long time since I've been *this* excited to watch a Daf scrubcast, although I don't think I should be judging by these other responses, lol
Had a game very similar to this the other day, we were on top with a 15k gold lead and a 24.6k XP lead at 35 minutes in. Game was unlosable, then much like this game's Rubick our Invoker just decided to give up and we'd lost by the 49 minute mark. I was so tilted that we had thrown that game so unbelievably hard that I've uninstalled the game and don't think I'll be back for awhile. Playing pub dota is a completely miserable experience at least half the time and why anyone would continue to put themselves through that on a regular basis blows my mind. Yet time after time I come back to this game
Whenever I get the urge to play Dota; I just watch one of these videos instead and I'm so triggered by the end of it that it makes me not want to play! Thanks for curing my addiction. 11/10
20:44 Watched a qojqva stream this weekend, dude played TA, went a god awful build, his team lost like 50 mins in while being ahead by about 25 kills lol.
Ah, this is modern art. A beautiful piece. Depicting the world of fine cuisine, and how a masterfully created 5 star meal will inevitably turn into a pile of sh*t :D
Main thing I noticed that wasn't mentioned was that, eventhough Jugg bought a mjollnir and mkb to deal with Naga, Mjollnir's too weak for him to do shit to late game Naga through her illusions and so he kept feeding her his corpse whenever he ults on her towards the end. Really shoulda bought battlefury tbh or ult on people who aren't her. Besides that, it's just general herald stuff like not buying dust and having no pattern recognition
Its just active mjolnir + blink jug is way better early game where he shines anyway but people go for bf on jug too many times. But yes against illusion hero like naga bf would have been the right choice especially because the guy loved to farm instead of fight.
"Welcome to The Scrub Cast, where our games are like Covid tests - you need 2 of them over an hour to get any real information, and the results are always confusing, painful and disappointing."
I won't downplay Daffs teams ability to throw, but god damn naga is cringe. Probably one of if not the only hero that could turn that "unlosable" game around. WITH MEGAS btw. -Resident Naga hater
watching these games has convinced me that I could be better at DOTA than dad purely based on situational awareness. what do you gain from standing around in their base doing NOTHING. If ur not gonna be doing something just leave?
You can watch some of the best (and worst) Daf and Joe streams cut down on Joe's Dota channel youtube.com/@MoreHickson
I'm glad Pyrion caught that amazing Daf play of aghs ulting+disarming at the same time to ensure that sniper can't attack, stays invis, and gets away
I love how the thing Daf seems to be really good at is tp'ing out of danger. It's perfect for Daf because it's both hype to get off but not as helpful as practicing, say, last hitting or armlet toggling haha
Oh no it's this game

Rough
I feel for you joe~

Knowing that daf will never get better haha
You simply can’t lose a game with a 95% win probability.
Is this a TI reference haha
We'll call this one "Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory"
pretty sure they reached in deeper than the jaws to get that defeat
I know we aren't supposed to flame team and I'm not saying our golden child didn't have some goofs but that jug was agressively shite, blink diving t4s I genuinely think they could've ended there if not for GIBBONRY. Oh it was real bad and he had so many opportunities to just spin tp. Thats the first thing i learned playing juggernaut.

I'm an eternal pos4 player and when this happens I have to go play NP-mid and just start ganking cores as payback
Sorry for what you’re about to watch :)
It gets funnier everytime to watch it twice
First on yogslive
Second with pyrion malding over it
Never gets old!!
Great double cast!!
❤
Don't apologise. We all know why we are here.
"Daf games are like a covid test" is probably the funniest thing I've heard about him

i have been waiting for prion to see this game

10:44 Props to SB for accidentally hitting naga while charging lion lol

Give it time to "develop", eh? I believe the word you were looking for is "fester", Mister Flax.

I know it's disappointment time when Pyrion says "Please Brother"
Pyrion sounds absolutely defeated lmao
I allways check for Second Rosh

17 minutes into this radiant stomp of the dire, i see the video goes on for 54 minutes, only disappointment can be on the horizon.

This the most invested in a game I’ve seen Pyrion in these.
Flawless how to throw a good game. Thanks Daf for showing us how not to play Huskar.
Ah, this is modern art.

thank you for the rage inducing ending

god Rubick what a disappointment... hell that whole game was just disappointment after disappointment only being more painful with such a good start
how does he manage to do this. he's like the first lifeform with no ability to learn
"Welcome to The Scrub Cast, where our games are like Covid tests - you need 2 of them over an hour to get any real information, and the results are always confusing, painful and disappointing."
Juggernau(gh)t. What a call back.
- Dave!yogpod
been looking forward to this since the stream
LOL love how pyrion refuses to believe gold swings in the game 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This did emotional damage to me.
Putting (GH) in juggernaut was a nice touch
That was so painful, I might have taken 1d8 cringe damage at the end.
I'm in physical pain
I kept hoping they were gonna trip into a victory
finally now i can finish my lunch
unsinkable!
I just watched the short version of the huskar on joe channel, omg how do you lose with megas.
oh I didn't realise Rubick abandon and tree afked for a long time. It makes a lot more sense.
That's painful.
Its the worst part about low lvl Dota, the fact that "doing well" does not end up in winning the game, because people simply do not play to win.
Holy fucking shit
20 deaths behind. 5k up.
This game was a Gaben's gift, until it wasn't.
That game made me violently ill
ooooooooooooooooooooooof
I won't downplay Daffs teams ability to throw, but god damn naga is cringe. Probably one of if not the only hero that could turn that "unlosable" game around. WITH MEGAS btw.
