My girlfriend hates farming because I love it so much. She’s recently started saying ‘sooooooooooooo........Ya’. I’ve not told her it’s Mikes favourite saying yet, I’m waiting for her to catch on.
Since I watch your videos in youtube I have a new dream; I would love working in Faith Hope farms!!. I love farming. Thank you for sharing your pasion with us.
Walk arounds are mandatory. if i dont to a proper walk around and dont document it on my drivers card and something happens on the road that could have been avoided i can be in big trouble.
When you sit in the tractor all day and all day and all day and all day, you have a lot of land to farm... I’m sure I missed a few all days in there with your operation...
Good question but patience and you shall be rewarded. Also I think it is for sale but knowones bought it yet so they just decided to put it on the drill again. It's a bit drier so the 1050 is pulling better but he reckons it's still underpowered.
They really need to update that sign to be bilingual. Should read: "FAILURE TO UNLOCK WINGS BEFORE UNFOLDING WILL CAUSE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE FAILURE TO UNLOCK WINGS BEFORE UNFOLDING WILL CAUSE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, EH"
Thandie for the explanation Mike , I've in agriculture for 40 years & checking everything on the equipment and the tractor is automatic to me .. Do you. have any hitches on the rear of the seed cart maybe you could hitch a pickup behind in case of emergency ?
What about the damage to the hydraulic pump that will happen if you blow a main line????you need to be closer to protect that part.euthout it you won't move
What!?!!! You don’t wipe off the dipstick on your pant leg? Interesting tidbit... years ago a Farmland engineer out of the lubricants division told a story about an engine oil sample tests that came back from the laboratory with a positive ID on blue denim! 😂
Don't feel bad, I am pretty sure that you have him beat on profitability with your smallest field, operating costs vs Mike's biggest field... Thanks to really high crop prices in game...
Put on 300 hours on tractor per year seeding, not including cart work which is light duty work. Yet use 9? Tractors for seeding which would equate to roughly 3000 hours of seeding and harvest hours. Yeah that’s a lot of tractor seat time...
Bio oil is a pain in the ass to deal with! It bonds with dust and creates something that could best be compared to taffy so it's nearly impossible to get off with just a powerwash so you end up having to use a knife or spackle or something similar..
Mike, I have a question. I have been wondering how Brian’s Johnny-popper handles the big drill compared to yours? Brian’s doesn’t seem to have the additional weights.

good eyes there mate!
@@geoffreymeyers6009 hopefully Mike already took care of it since videos are a couple weeks behind haha
Wow, good catch there ! :) Hope he replies to ya !
That is good eyes.
Now we can see how long it takes to fix, like an Easter egg in the videos.
Hopefully not two years like the Memphis bridge. 😂
We put 500 hours on our seeder tractor every year so when we grease the drill the oil gets changed at about 250 hours through the season.
Here we go. Best way to start the day. Thanks for the early uploads Mike.

You sure she isn't saying "seeeeeeeeee,,,ya"?
How far along are you guys Mike? Must be about to wrap up the season?
Hey! Been done at the main farm for a week or 10 days now.. Ashtyn and I have moved up north now and have a few days left yet
@Mike Mitchell do you farm in Canada? Or where?
@@hayes1263 southern Saskatchewan at the US boarder then I believe east central is where he helps his father in law farm?

I'm sure ive said it before -that 1050 on triples looks freaking awesome.
Excellent video you have a lot of experience, Scott from South Australia 🇦🇺
That Ashtyn is as handy as a pocket on a shirt.
Thanks for sharing the process, Mike!
hey mike when winging up you ever had one drop to the ground say a hydrlic hose bust ??
No.. Thankfully
I would love to see that big JD with triples on one of those big 84 foot drills to see how it pulls compared to the tract version.
“Beautiful shifting transmission”
Man that’s me running a Powershift after using an IVT.
Have you ever had to meet another tractor and air seeder on the road during a move? That would be interesting.
Thanks Mike!
0:43 the best soo ya to date.

Nice job on the video!
How many road failures are prevented by those walk-around safety checks? Good habits, solid process.
0 lol
Man, the size and complexity of that equipment.

Great awesome video mike.
🎶On the road again I can't wait to get back on the road again🎶
Another good one Mike!
Hey Mike seen a really NICE outfit the other day, same Airdrill and Cart as yours but with a Delta Trac Versatile 610 up Front. What an awesome unit.
👋👍thanks , safety first , great videos Mike.
Didn't you want to sell the 1050 because it doesn't have enough power? But what really interests me, when is the Fendt 2nd track coming
bump

Their you go Mike is going to get some slippers 😀
As much as those tractors cost, the heater going out is a major fail for the brand in my opinion.

Do you ever plant winter wheat?
Is that seeder the biggest? I find that is a Canadian seeder. From St Brieux-
Well that ended abruptly 😞
Wing it & wing it good 😃 👍
Thandie for the explanation Mike , I've in agriculture for 40 years & checking everything on the equipment and the tractor is automatic to me .. Do you. have any hitches on the rear of the seed cart
maybe you could hitch a pickup behind in case of emergency ?
I'm surprised those big hyd cylinders don't have brakes in them so if you ever do blow a hose during fold up the drill doesn't drop to the ground?
Intresting that the tractor hydraulic pumps aren't eqited with an emergency auto shut off when it detects a rapid pressure loss.
The gophers are so bad they ended the video so abruptly
🤣🐁🐀😂
Question why is the field not complete, or is that just a camera thing? That was a fast video. :)
I believe that is an airstrip for the fertilizer plane to land
@@jeffmcgrath2202 I believe this was even covered in one of Mike’s ‘Mike I have a question’ moments 🤩
Just wondering how long each vehicle is maybe 30m or over
I love moving on the road not with seeders but combines at sprayers at night are fun and mike what’s your favourite sprayer
I think the trident is Mike’s favorite because of the horn. 😂
@@ernestrollins383 yea probably lol
If you had the truck there, granted it might take some time to unload, can you unload into the trucks and take load off of roading the eqpt.?
One month behind us by Quincy Illinois. Maybe some replant on field corn finish up soy beans. But Rain for last two weeks
(Recorded April 27.)
Whats cheaper to replace, four tracks or ten tires?
It obviously depends on the exact sizes but usually the tires cost less.
Try a Versatile Delta Track
This puts me on pins 🖊 and needles 🪡😃

Mike I have a question! The cart looks as though it has a beefy hitch on it. Is it designed to pull the seeder behind it too? Thanks Mike
The hitch is for towing liquid fertiliser tanks.
That 9620 thooo 😍
Mike mike mike 😂 guess what day it is
mike, I have a question, how tall is that when is in a transport position ?
Can you attach another aircart behind that or is that not possible
Impossible to pull
I don't know if that is possible or even practical. this is possible look ua-cam.com/video/6Qy9BgB8EeU/v-deo.html
I have seen that.. It's neither here in Saskatchewan 🙂
@@mikemitchell2554 thanks
Hey Mike, love the video's. Quick question: what is the hitch on the back of the Bourgault used for?
Pulling anhydrous tanks
Or liquid fertiliser
Morning
Which is stronger case quadtrac 620 or john deere 9620 rx
Glad you didn't fall into a gopher hole. Lol
What about tire air pressure?
That type of clouds we call spilt milk clouds lol
Damn folding those bourgaults are much faster on fs19 😅 we only farm apples and cherries, so I don't know what is like doing row crops very much lol
He probably slows down the flow rate a little more so the wings aren’t slamming down.
@@Flame07518 yeah probably, I was just kidding lol it pays to fold an 84ft drill slow
Just how many acres does your family farm?
His farm in real life is bigger than my farm in farming simulator 19 which I cheated in

Hey Mike i have a question, do take the keys of the Traktors With you? Or do they Stay in the Traktor?
Where do stay during the nights when you are far from home? Do you drive back home to sleep?
We drive back

Why i there a hitch on the back of the cart
Mike, I have a question.
I have been wondering how Brian’s Johnny-popper handles the big drill compared to yours? Brian’s doesn’t seem to have the additional weights.
Higher % slip
John Deere heater didn't last long!!😱🤷♂️
Is there a reason your cart tires are on backwards?
They disturb the soil less and they also roll easier.
hey Mike, i have a question: why is there a hidge on the back of the bourgoullet card?
Just in case we need to pull something
you can also hang a tank with liquid fertilizer behind the bourgault cart
@@mikemitchell2554 thnx for the anser of my question. you are awsome, keep up the good work
In the past videos you bragged up the case ih quad track and keep beefing and deeres slow shifting, why in the world do you run deere?

40,000+ acres
Mike why don't you like move loaded?🤔
Hey why aren't you using the Quadtrack on the drill this year? It's not that I don't like it I am a John Deere fan, but just wondering
It was rented or a demo. I forget which one but he doesn't own the quad track.
O okey👍
Now I know why you don't wanna move loaded.😉
Who else isn't a farmer here?!
Me!
Me also. Working with geothermal heatpumps all day long... 👍
I worked on a state of the art farm in the 80’s so this is very interesting to see the current state of affairs now that I’m retired.
Please remind me again what a mid-row bander is or does. Thanks and God Bless you all.
That's where we put the bulk of our seed.. The "mid row" bander places it between the seed rows
(Mike meant fertilizer in the mid row banders)

This time there’s a reason but why go loaded if you have a Choice?
Poison the gophers in the spring and turn them into fertilizer. Might not get all of them but at least some.
If you can pick rocks, the you can fusillade gophers as well
You kill the other life that predates them too. Encourage the birds that predate them by putting nesting places up for them.
@@emss66 birds don’t predate gophers…. Maybe you refer to some food chain of sorts?
