Classic Thomas the Tank Engine is not just about talking trains, but their real life types like *Boco's Basis is a British Rail Class 28* is mentioned like in "Diesesal" in Thomas Season 2 (1990) Edward told the real basis of Boco to Bill & Ben...also it's "Skarloey Railway" is mentioned by Rev W awdry visiting the real Talyllyn railway which he made the stories of the 'Narrow Gauge Engines' in the first place...and in Thomas *Season 4* (1994)
The dinosaurs tv show had the most chilling and haunting finale of any show I’ve ever seen, it leaves a grim impression on you that never fades even after it ended and you can’t but feel sad about the characters as they suffer through nuclear winter and always hoping that they live through the disaster to see the sun again.😢
It made me cry the first time I saw it
I SOBBED! I remember watching it w our young girls. I was already anxious due to being a broke mom (2), wife, and college student while also being a poster child for OCD/Depression,etc. What a mess- lol!
Y’all shldve seen me when Brain was so mean to Pinky in the Cmas special. Watching w our girls, studying for finals and cldnt see a thing bc of tears. Lmfao
As a kid that episode is forever in memory…
Yes. As a kid I think I blocked that out. I loved that show so much. I didn’t want to believe they died out.
Is it not an ice age? Didn't know it was nuclear winter
Thing I remember most about dinosaurs is "Not the Mama" lol
That and how grumpy the grandma/mother in law was
@kiciaharleyofalabama6…, same here.
Grandma was very snarky towards Earl! 😂
Dinosaurs was an adult show kids could watch. The finsl episode was brilliantly dark.
Growing up, The Simpsons was one of my favorite cartoons.
The Simpsons still rules
I loved how Crazy Ex Girlfriend deconstructed Rebecca's actions, showing how unhealthy they are, and ultimately ending with her choosing herself over her various love interests.
Sound like she got the bad ending...
Despite being mainly aimed at younger audiences nowadays, The Flintstones was originally aimed more at an adult audience when it first came out.
Yeah even the movie had adult jokes in it
must have been really dumb adults....
Not to mention that back in the 1960s they had Fred and Barney be spokesmen for cigarettes.
Yeah going back and watching that show as an adult you realize just how many adult jokes were in it
Dinosaurs hits hard even today.
Even McDonald’s thought Dinosaurs was a kids show when they served Happy Meal toys of the family from the Dinosaurs TV show.
Sinclair was voice elmo.
ABSOLUTE AMEN ABOUT SIMPSONS!!!
NOT THE MOMMA!!!!
Awesome video. Now please make one about what people commonly get wrong about famous movies.
I love dinosaurs it is still one of my favorites to binge watch
Honorable Mentions:
*Running Out Of Ideas - Various TV Reboots
-There HAVE been times when the reboots and shake-ups actually improved upon the original or (at the very least) able to stand tall alongside the original. But then there are the reboots that just... don't get it. But for every reboot that doesn't work like Teen Titans Go, Powerpuff Girls (2016) and Thundercats Roar, there are shows that deliver like Ducktales (2017), Animaniacs (2020) and She-Ra and The Princesses of Power.
I know it gets a bad rap from fans, but I wouldn't put Teen Titans Go into the category of the "traditional" reboot. That show is very much meant to be its own thing, being an outright comedy and even parody; not a straight up redo or continuation of the original show. While the original show had comedic elements and leaned into comedic anime from time to time, it still played like a traditional action adventure show with its fair share of drama. TTG is very much just meant to be a comedy, aiming for a younger audience with some easter egg humor/references for older audiences. When it comes to TTG, i think old school fans who are critical of it are just mad that they didn't get a show meant for them lol.
I have to call foul. The Orville has not been officially canceled. Season 5 isn't off the plate yet.
Season 4 you mean.
@@darthnowlan wishful thinking.
Still hoping there's more seasons of The Orville
Dinosaur's was not for kids but they played reruns on Disney channel, lol.
3. The same could be said for many other cartoons today. Among the average at best episodes, for or every misfire, there's a bullseye.
I've seen the Simpsons through it's highs and it's lows, that's just showbiz.
I remember in the first season of Family Matters, Eddie and Laura had
a little sister. why was she left out after season one? that one always
boggled my mind.
Urkel was more popular, so they had to rewrite the show to give him more to do, which in turn meant that the little sister was written off the show, as they had no ideas for her anymore, after the show the actress who played the little sister went into the porn business as she couldn't really get any acting roles anymore
She left Family Matters at the end of season 4
I didn't even know that Judy was written off until the episode where Carl and Steve travel through time. When Harriette in the alternate present said that she and Carl never had children they only mentioned Eddie and Laura. I exclaimed, "What about Judy?"
Family Matters was originally a spin off of Perfect Strangers. It was supposed to be about the lives of Harriette Winslow and her family. All that changed when the writers brought Steve Urkel on the show. I'm not sure how long the show would've lasted if Steve Urkel was never created.
I always loved Steve Urkel that catchphrase of his will crack you up ngl "DID I DO THAAAAAAT?!" 🤓🤣
I always loved his laughing and snorting!
#1 should have been Lost. People still claim they were *spoiler* the whole time and it's clear they just weren't paying attention.
Family Matters was a spin-off of Perfect Strangers -- Harriet operated the building's elevator
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 7:14 I agree. The 90s Simpsons show had a lot more humorous scenes.
what update
The thing about 'The Leftovers' is that most of the things which happened during its run made zero sense and added nothing to the plot. I understand that it was a mundane series about the aftermath of a widespread tragedy, but that sad feeling goes away once the wacky stuff happens.
I remember Robby stating that Dinosaurs was more adult targeted.
Seasons 3-11 of The Simpson’s are definitely the classics but I still think it’s good up until around season 20
When is the last time you watched season 2? I think it’s definitely a classic season too
I think seasons 1-20 were the best
"The Outing" (which featured the criminally underrated Paula Marshall) got a GLAAD award. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Dinosaur seems like a family show to me.
This might be subjective, but most people would tell you that the “golden age” of SpongeBob SquarePants is between seasons 1-3…..I beg to differ. To me, seasons 4 and 5 are underrated and still have that humor and smart writing in most of its episodes 👌🏻 Season 6 and beyond doesn’t really have that same feel unfortunately, especially the recent seasons 😪
With all due respect, if you needed an answer at the end of The Leftovers, you were never bright enough for The Leftovers in the first place.
Like #700 for the Dinosaur thumbnail alone 😄😄😄
Thanks for the new Top 10, WatchMojo and hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙
Is it illegal to bring up Dinosaurs without mentioning the finale?
I only remember catch phrases and such from the Dinosaurs. Im sure ive seen entire episode, but i was born in the 80s so my parents still controlled what we watched in the early 90s.
Top 20 fantasy tv shows
Laugh track or not, single camera comedies are a mixed bag to me.
I love dinosaurs was great show ever, fantastic job on the video watch mojo.
I always argued that Seinfeld (and curb your enthusiasm) were actually shows about how people can take a something fairly basic and come up with a worst case scenario. Going out for a bowl of soup ruins friendships and relationships. Being polite and not asking someone to repeat themselves or speak up, leads to Jerry wearing a pirate shirt on TV, and ends George's hand modeling career. Sneaking a limo ride gets everyone involves with the American nazi party. Letting Kraemer take Jerry's shoes to help a local cobbler ends up with all Jerry's shoes being sold off, and almost gets him jumped for wearing cowboy boots. Something that seems mundane or uneventful becomes uncommonly bizarre.
Ya I watched the Dino show as a kid
Ths Dinosaurs brings me way back. My sister was constantly watching it when she was around 4 and I was about 5 or 6 and even then I couldn't understand why she liked it so much. 😅
My dad introduced the Simpsons to me at the age of 2. While it’s not a kids’ show it’s pretty tame compared to shows like South Park and family guy
IMO the Simpsons jumped the shark in season 12 when Homer got violated by a panda
#6 anyone who is a Family Matters fan already knew that it was not The Steve Urkel Show!
The orville is the best star trek show we had in decades
My dad loved the Dinosaurs 🦕 some think the show Reba is “too country “ when it has many family issues and dynamics as other shows just set in Texas and the main star is Reba herself. Wish this show was talked about more
Dinosaurs was an adult show, kids could watch. It wasn’t made for kids..
I tend to like sitcoms and other comedy shows more if they have laugh tracks, I tend to find shows funnier that way. I make exceptions for cartoon shows, though. I tend to find cartoon shows real funny even though most I know of don't have a laugh track.
Mannix kicks butt and still gets knocked unconcise in every episode
I'm not a Simpsons fan, but you could also apply that same misconception from Spongeboomers that nothing after the first movie is worth watching. As I would even group seasons 4 and maybe 5 as part of the golden age! Or that the Fairly OddParents sucks after Channel Chasers. I could name several great episodes or seasons after that movie. I would even argue that the show should've ended after Meet The Odd Parents which would've been a perfect episode to end the show on!
There’s only one episode post-“Channel Chasers” I liked: “Old Man and the C-.” While it breaks the usual “I wish” trope by having Timmy go wishless for the episode, Timmy’s father becoming Crocker’s best student as he goes back to 5th grade goes well until genius janitor Melvin, who convinced Timmy’s dad to drop out in the first place, pulls the “too cool for school” card again. After Timmy’s dad’s truancy goes too far, Timmy, whom Crocker named Becky earlier in the episode, convinces him to study for a test that would eventually get him his high school diploma on the game show he first made a fool of himself on. It’s a nice slice-of-life episode with the critical message to be cool by staying in school. Regular attendance and good grades play major roles in graduating.
@@Jeremiah_Rivers76 you hate School's Out The Musical, For Emergencies Only and Food Fight?
To me Seasons 3-12 of The Simpsons were perfect, magnificent and the golden age. Season 13 was when it was slowly losing its touch. Although the Halloween and Sideshow Bob episodes from season 13 thru 19 were still great and those two Rich Texan episodes from 2006 and 07.
"Newman almost eats him..." In Brazil, this phrase means something else...😅
The Orville is sometimes intentionally not funny at all. There is a self-unaliving episode that desperately needed comic relief. It is, however, an excellent sci-fi series
"Self-unaliving". Jesus, that word sounds so frickin' ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand why the word exists and I don't blame you for having to use it but I hate that it's necessary.
The suggestion thorough video of this ad of movies about the pandemic
*SINCLAIR!!! IN HERE NOW!*
The Leftovers was genius
I was today yrs old when I found out Jessica Walter was the voice of Francine on Dinosaurs. #GOAT
I actually did watch the Orville but only the first two seasons I stopped caring after that, also The Simpsons and family Guy are awesome shows sometimes South Park too🤷♀️
should have been renamed "Top 10 watch mojo hot takes"
The Orville was great
It needs a season 4 with more comedy. Season 3 needed more comedy to balance out the seriousness in my opinion.
@darthnowlan yeah agreed but probably not going to get it well maybe Stranger stuff has happen
@@randomreviews4278 It should get it.
an great example later seasons of simpsons doesn't suck episode
is holidays of future passed
Simpsons ended season 10, sorry. But thank you for finally admitting Seinfeld is no different than every show, even more so. Most shows have a s8ngle plot, Seinfeld would have 3 or 4 that all somehow came together in the end. It also had continuity. I suck and can't remember the term I really want to use, but if something happened on Seinfeld it stays. They'll reference it later on and won't contradict previous episodes.
3 major episodes on the Orville 1. Changing the kids sex at birth 2. Topa getting his change back to be a girl 3. The genocide of a species episode NOT really a comedy but had hilarious parts like getting addicted to cigarettes and cutting off a leg for a practical joke
How about this one, MASH was about talking about Vietnam, without talking about Vietnam.
Simpsons first did deathnote in the comics
10. Well, I know what happened, Thanos snapped his fingers.
That animations are for kids only.
I still made fun of by older relatives cause I watch animated tv shows saying they're for kids.
Said tv shows are South Park and Family Guy
For me I think the only good Simpsons seasons are 7-16 but everything after is ok but not great but if were talking bad a bad season for me it’d season 28 there are no good episodes (except for the treehouse of horror)
‘Urkell’ annoyed me.
All the Simpsons is awesome 🤩
Don’t write it off
Love all of them
Have to argue(sorta) with #3 cause the Simpsons is terrible but more after season 13. My god child has Disney+ and i binge watched until that season and that’s where i noticed the humor had gone dull compared to previous seasons
I'm gonna quit watching since Rebecca's gone
On last episode of sienfeld the main 4 went to prison😂
"Dinosaurns"!
The orville should be called The AWFUL!
The Flintstones is not for kids theres too many adult jokes in the cartoon and movie
*Family Matters* would have been better without Steve Urkel.
And Judy would have come down the stairs.
if Family Matters never included Steve Urkel,
it would have been canned after 1 or 2 seasons due to low ratings.
Dinosaurs was scary as shit for me. I hate it so much.
Adults and parents forget Bluey is a cartoon for young children.
no one forgot it was
Dude out here defending big bang theory 😂
...........answers matter
#11: The Monkees had nothing to do with their music or the show
" The Monkees"
The members of The Monkees were hired to play a fictional rock band and they weren't allowed at first to play music on their songs/ albums, but over time they started fighting the " powers that be" to start writing and playing their own music, basically fighting to become a REAL rock band.
As far as the actual show, it only lasted two seasons, but by the second season, the members of The Monkees fought the directors and producers over creative control of the show, which resulted in member's characters on the show dressing the way they wanted to, as opposed to the matching outfits they usually wore in the first season. It also resulted in certain members of the group writing and directing a few of the episodes in season two as well.
Famous...really...
#1 wrong issue: Big Bang Theory is funny 😬
you have no sense of humor then.
Someone once described it as "blackface for nerds". From the clips I've seen it seems pretty apt.
@@jimbo9208Humor is subjective. 😮
@@JoeNarbaiz how so
@@asecretone who ever said that is racist
I watched the first two seasons of The Orville. Very good with the exception of MacFarlane being the lead. Not sure about the "range" this video describes.
6:07
Spot on about My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Nothing after season seven is worthwhile
Where is Judy!? 😂
The Orville is great with the exception of MacFarlane being cast as the lead. I watched two seasons. Not sure what 'range' this video mentions.
Pretty girls!
