I have no problem with immigrants per se, I have said previously that I see people as individuals . I think that we have had, and do have many immigrants who come to this country and work hard and contribute greatly and by and large integrate into our society. However we have a growing number ( as do the rest of Europe ) who are bringing violence and lawlessness on the one hand and we have also seen a rise in radical Islamism that wishes to impose Sharia law rather than respect British Law. Radical Islamism destroys everything it touches and I dont want that for this country. This issue has many strands that are too numerous to go into on this forum. BUT we need to be discussing it and we need to have the power be able to deport people if necessary.

The economic argument is immigration is very strong, immigrants make up a fifth of our workforce and we still have many labour gaps since before and after Brexit, so I don't know of any good reasons to curtail immigration. People on the right only have the "cultural" argument, and not wanting brown people in your country isn't a compelling reason to stop immigration. Realistically, immigration is only going to continue to increase, so we should start investing in our infrastructure and try to be a strong country again in terms of economics and leading the way for the future. Do you really believe by reducing immigration that your life, the economy will get any better? We have so many problems and they were not caused by immigrants. The biggest threat to this country is the political establishment, not immigrants.
