    That's a really good explanation of the salvaging process and equipment. If anyone has a better video of the Linn's in action at the top of the world, please be obliged. No one else is the king of obsolete 🤘

    Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ A true testament to your abilities is the fact that the salvage sloop was able to pick up all the weight of Aggie and all your welds took that abuse 😱 I'm very impressed Joey 👍 I've checked out several videos of people that own and operate Linn tractors of all vintages and they're all museum pieces. I do believe you are the only person with practical real-world experience with them. Don't worry about trolls they have no life 😂 Joey, you're the Man🤘 I like that clip of the vodka drinkers doing their salvage, quite a bit of ingenuity 👍 you guys are the best just keep doing what you're doing ✌️❤️🇺🇲🇨🇦

      Hey, you may have already talked about this, but would a positive traction rear out of a truck help the Linn's get around any better or just get you stuck worse?

    • @mrMacGoover
      @mrMacGoover 19 днів тому +1

      No, that's why they suck. You could technically rob one from some trucks or a RWD tractor though.

    • @kingofobsolete4789

      no, one of the long list of limitations it had thansk

    • @kingofobsolete4789

    A linn tractor like you say would need a diff lock. It’s like a two or four wheel drive tractor with no diff lock or highway tractor without 4 wheel lock up . Always stuck in mud snow or ice when trying to pull a heavy load

    • @kingofobsolete4789
      @kingofobsolete4789  18 днів тому

      yes but once you have a diff lock then you can't steer it and if the snow is too deep you have to plow. the list is long and that is why they were never used after the job was completed they were purchased for. thansk

    didnt they move sherritt gorden mines to lynn lake a quite distance, i spent some time up in lynn from 1962 to 1965 at the el mine in lynn lake. i believe lynn lake is named after these beasts were used to move from sherriden.where are you located in lynnlake..

      the EL Mine was the place to be with the high grade nickel. the ore train is the reason why these Linns came with no motors because they were used to keep the ore train running. lynn lake was named after a person not the Linn Tractors. the Kingdom is down at the track beside the bulk fuel places. thansk

    Ah my friend there are key board eggsperts everywhere. I don't listen to them. We have forgotten what simple leverages can do. I remember reading that they could I believe they called it grasshoppering a small ship across a narrow slip of land with poles, ropes and their capstans. They used the sam type of setup to lift heavy wood beams.

    You’re better than letting folks ruffle your feathers. My advice is don’t even respond to those people. Delete, block or ignore. Done. You have your curious ways. I’m confused by you cutting firewood with a skil saw. That seems dangerous and slow. Why not a good little top handle limbing saw? I do appreciate your perseverance. Peace, purpose & pleasure.
