I took a more direct route from Puttgarden to the Austrian border near Garmisch. Some 1150 km in 46 days. Great experience! Now I am wondering if I should cross the country from east to west or do the south to north trek along a different route. Germany is a paradise for hikers, I miss it! Being retired, I have the time.
