IK am one of the ones who liked the Dijon mustard video. Now I will try this as well. The more you read the labels on store bought food, the more you want to make of your own so that you can at least pronounce what's in it. This isn't hard to do at all and cost effective. I wasn't surprised at the price difference in the mustard at Walmart, as they have increased prices quite a bit.

Good plan for the shelf. We make hot pepper mustard and it’s great in cheese and pepperoni.

You're welcome! I hope you like it! Remember to let it sit 3 or so days before trying so it can mellow.

Very interesting. I have made grainy mustard in the past, but it was a long time ago. Thanks for the inspiration!

I tried making a beer mustard a couple years ago. Was going to be a Christmas present for my son. Even after 2 months of letting it sit, it was so bitter I finally just threw it out. I still have plenty of mustard seed I could try again but definitely a different recipe.

I hate when I spend time on something and it doesn't turn out. I've come to expect it as part of the learning process. I hope this recipe works out better for you.

My son and I are only one who really enjoys mustard so I will need to start out with just one jar. But definitely need to do at least one. Such a beautiful vibrant color. Thank you so much for sharing.

The colder the water the spicier the mustard.

The temp of rhe water affects the heat of the mustard.

@@PlowAndPantryHomestead The colder the spicier, warmer is milder. I don't know how canning affects it though.
