Well, it's especially weird because _Johnny B. Goode_ is an autobiographical song - Berry wrote it about himself, changing "colored boy" to "country boy" so it would sell better. Rock music was already getting itself together by 1951 with _Rocket 88_. While Berry codified the genre, the first rock song he released was the chart-topping _Maybellene_, recorded several months before Marty went to the past, so it's weird that no one recognized Marty playing Berry's style. Berry didn't even release _Johnny B. Goode_ until 1958. But hey, alternate timeline - _Back to the Future_ is a world where electrostatic propulsion can make a Delorean hover.

There actually will be hover boards this year. There in the process of making it fly like in BTTF Part 2. It's called the Hendo Hoverboard
Back To The Future was the beginning of my love for all things sci-fi, especially time travel stories. 😀
I remember the first time I saw this movie when I was eight years old, it was this scene and the song that made me want to become a film director I still do
“Hey George,Ever think of running for class president?”
This is an oldie were i come from
Lyrics
Deep down Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
Who never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could play the guitar just like a ringing a bell
Go go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Johnny B. Goode
He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
Go sit beneath the tree by the railroad track
Oh, the engineers would see him sitting in the shade
Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made
People passing by they would stop and say
Oh my that little country boy could play
Go go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Go Johnny go
Go
Johnny B. Goode
His mother told him "Someday you will be a man,
And you will be the leader of a big old band.
Many people coming from miles around
To hear you play your music when the sun go down
Maybe someday your name will be in lights
Saying Johnny B. Goode tonight."
Go go
Go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go go go Johnny go
Go
Johnny B. Goode
I'm only 13 but all I ever listen to is music from 50S 60s 70s 80s 90s great film my favorite of all time BACK TO THE FUTURE
Barney Yyy No one cares. I can't believe you actually went out of your way to brag about your taste of music. Our generation is the best. We have memes. We have filthy frank. We have mechanical suicide machines. What does your generation have?
sam e fuck your self all I said was I like those times stop bullying children on the Internet
+Barney nice keep up i know it's not the same but you can try Doctor Who when i was fan of Back to the future i hated doctor who but then i watched it and it wasn't that bad just try season one from 2005 and if you like it you know what to do
and i didnt go out my way i sat having a shit for 30 secs
I think the weirdest joke of the _Back to the Future_ series is that Chuck Berry stole rock music from a white boy.
lol
But that white boy originally stole it from Berry itself.
Specifically the bootstrap paradox
And then Marty McFly stole it from Chuck Berry, so that Berry could steal it from Marty... I think this is what Doc Brown would call a paradox.
I think you're not ready for this yet, but your kids will love it.
1985:I want to go to the future
2020:I wanna go back to the 80s
2023: Fuck, I seriously wanna go back to the 80s
Yep, sounds about right. I was born in the 1990s and I still miss the 1980s.
The solo is just amazing
Who is leaning in 2022 ?
just me then, well guss your not ready for that yet,but your kids are going to love it.
Great film a still get chills haha
1:57
I think this is where Marty starts to get carried away.
Yep.
I swore when I was a kid that Michael J. Fox actually did all the singing and guitar play 🎸 still a classic song
He didn’t
No kidding 😆
This version is better than Chuck Berry's in my opinion. Of course I'm crazy about Michael J. Fox so that explains why Lol I want my hoverboard!
Except it's Mark Campbell not Michael J Fox.
Trans8010 Lol I know it's not really MJF singing the song. It's fun to pretend though
***** Well that's good I guess Lol And a random statement
+Dylan Hayes Who tf cares
+Dylan Hayes It was irrelevant
One of my best friends gave me a vintage copy of this movie on VHS and I finally watched the other day and I see why this movie is so good

+Happy Rachel Sorry, you're just too darned loud.
I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet..... By your kids are gonna love it
If you guys ever have kids, and one of them when he's seven years old accidentally sets fire to the living room carpet, go easy on him okay?
+Happy Rachel This explains that "Johnny b goode" is NOT Chuck Berry's song! He stole the sound from Marty!
"Remember that royalty free, please don't sue me sound you were looking for, listen to this"
HEY MCFLY HELLO? YOU IN THERE MCFLY??!

GREAT SCOTT THE NOSTALIGA
GREAT SCOTT THE GRAMMAR

GREAT SCOTT A CLASSIC
I always wondered who was providing the vocals on this song. Michael J Fox? Someone else?
micheal himself
Mark Campbell.
You're right it's Mark Campbell. Michael didn't sing OR play a note in the film Tim May was the real guitar player.
Michael can play guitar, though. He even played the song with Coldplay recently.
Michael J fox is playing this in his teens
This is better than the normal version
1985 released back to the future 1 I think this is the best trilogy
Great Scott!
Marty was right
*I LOVE IT*
ANYONE IN 2019?!
Kevin's Vlog yes and I just watched BTTF I wanted to listen to the full Michael J Fox version.
イエイ!

Go Marty Go! You rock!
"Hey Chuck! It's your cousin Marvin! Marvin Berry! You know that new sound you're looking for? Well listen to this!"
99%: Chuck Chuck
99%: your kids are gonna love it.
1% : this song is amazing!
If they ever remake back to the future I’m never letting my kids watch the remakes
Good your doing your country proud
Good for you, I’ve stopped going to the movies ages ago, I stick to classic movies
If they do, we riot, that goes for The Goonies too
hmmm....
a year later.....
I don't have a flying car, a hydro microwave thingy from the movie that instantly made pizza in 2 seconds, or goofy fashion that makes me look like a punk hipster
well actually the fashion is around lol
" a pop tart takes 3 seconds ", Brian Regan
cause we live in the other universe where everything is behind and hasn't happened yet.
1. They're called helicopters
2. Microwaves are pretty damn instant
3. Go outside and look at the punk hipsters.
Kyaw Thu hydrate level 4 please
I don’t get people who dislike videos like this, I guess they weren’t ready for it, but their kids are gonna love it
this randomly started playing in my head while I was doing homework and it helped alot :P
Marty was singing so good in this movie
Yes finally my favorite song
Just a little trivia:
Marvin ran over to the telephone.
“Chuck!? It’s Marvin! Your cousin!? Marvin Berry!”
This made it seem like the original song, by Chuck Berry, was taken from Marty at the time.
I'm asking my self how people can even hate this song. Or the movie! I mean it is just great! And the second one even plays on the best date that is possible. The 21st of October wich is also my birthday!
Greatest Movie !
