- There has been another unprecedented twist in the political crisis gripping the Pacific island nation of Samoa.
The leader of the opposition Fast party has been sworn in as prime minister during an ad hoc ceremony, which her rival calls unconstitutional.

Our Former PM-Kuilaepa, refusing to Step down after losing the Vote in Samoan, on 9th April 2021..
An independent inquiry should be made on the old pm & his corrupt dealings in the past, especially with the chinese.
I'm pretty sure its also illegal to pay locals cash to vote for him, which vastly would of happened in the past.
That's the only reason he stayed pm for so long, as he's not intelligent enough to be working in parliament.

dang this guy has been in the prime minister for 22 years wow. Im tongan from states but dang that does seem like a little too long? I have no say in this matter but would be cool to see a woman be the prime minister. I remember or think Queen Salote ruled in Tonga for many years and she did a great job from what Ive seen on UA-cam. Hope it works out for my Samoan brothers and sisters.

Under tuialaepa leadership china has become samoas single largest creditors and account for 40% of there debt $160 mil. The job ahead for the new pm and the people of samoa will be a hard road and that's just to get out of chinas debt trap let alone pay the money back. The Pacific islands are targets for countrys like China to convert into there outposts. What they do need is genuine support and help from countrys that have decent agendas but who? In Sãmōa, only the Head of State, tama aiga, Tuiã’ana, Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aleto’a Suãlauvi ii swears in leaders of Sāmōa, Honourable Prime Minister, Speaker and Cabinet Minister.
Fiame Naomi was sworn by an untitled lawyer in an Arabic tent; not inside parliament. Parliament 10 percent seats reserved for women required by the constitution is in court the matter is not yet sorted out.
It is unconstitutional to sit parliament if the 10 percent is not met.
Tuila’epa Dr Sa’ilele Malielegaoi is still the legal Prime Minister of Sāmōa. The HRPP is the lawful government of the peoples for the peoples by the peoples and the peoples of Sāmōa recognised internationally by the United Nations Organisations.
