George was my neighbor growing up. His son, Jonathan, and I were best friends and George was practically a second father to me. He’s been building guitars since I was a little kid. Great guy and a great guitar builder.

Great! I managed to snag the Krakat D-Mahogany you played at Parkway Music. Mr. Krakat and I have been in contact quite a bit since I purchased it and he is a really nice guy. Parkway put in K & K minis, strap button and bone bridge pins for me. The guitar is now safe and sound here in Northern California.

I LOVE this guitar. Being that I need smaller guitars, this oooh is what I'd love to have. It sounds fantastic and looks superb.

That is one of the nicest sounding guitars I've heard you play. I like the no nonsense approach to his style, plain but attention paid to quality. You can have all that fancy inlay, just give me a guitar that sounds great and this is certainly one. Great review as always. KaNext

George built me a 000 in 2019. I requested it to be as closely spec’d after the 1937 Martin 000 as possible. Torrefied Adirondack top AND bracIng. It sounds like a very old guitar. Needless to say it is special. But it is not a Martin- it has its own huge warm Krakat sound. More importantly, George has become a friend who I bounce musical ideas off of routinely. Also, George is always willing to stand by his work and make a tweak on the guitar if it is something you desire. First class guy with first class service.

Check the binding seam, it looks like it’s placed off centre of the heel cap by a lot.

Beautiful guitar George! Keep up the great work! I had the pleasure on several occasions to build an instrument with Charles Fox at the American School of Lutherie and I know what goes into what you build. I’ll never regret taking those opportunities. I’m glad to see JP playing your instruments.

Hello J.P. Great video. Just wondering if you’ve ever played an Goguen guitar. By Gerry Goguen. He’s From around the Moncton area.Dan Maillet and Ray Léger have one of his guitars. I think. I’ve played his latest one. A dreadnought , torrified adirondack top. Not sure what kind of rosewood back&side. Currently owned by shane Douthwright. You might know him 🤷🏼‍♂️ . It sounded somewhat like my Boucher bg-52 but just bigger. Unbelievable guitar. Look him up next time your around here .Your right there out there. These small builders . Keep making videos like this .👍👍👍

    Thank you JP.
    I want one. If only...
You mentioned your colour perception ability recently. I’m intrigued... May I ask if that means the colours are ‘brighter’ (literally/visually/different) on a well built guitar, especially one something special like this, or if the colour just represents the note, and it is, or isn’t the right colour?
Apologies if this is a stupid question.

Hello, everyone! Any acoustic guitar recommendations for beginning players on a budget (Say $500 or less)? I am thinking about wanting to learn to play the guitar and just been overwhelmed by the amount of guitars out there.

I love these videos! However the volume level of the intro montage is a lot louder than the rest of the video, and is hard on the ears for headphone users. If it's possible to make the intro quieter that would be awesome.
