Love to all.
George was my neighbor growing up. His son, Jonathan, and I were best friends and George was practically a second father to me. He’s been building guitars since I was a little kid. Great guy and a great guitar builder.
Great! I managed to snag the Krakat D-Mahogany you played at Parkway Music. Mr. Krakat and I have been in contact quite a bit since I purchased it and he is a really nice guy. Parkway put in K & K minis, strap button and bone bridge pins for me. The guitar is now safe and sound here in Northern California.
Thanks Robert!
Thank you for this review JP! After the first time I saw it, I contacted George, and he's building a OOO for me even as we speak! Getting excited!
One of if not the best OM or OOO I’ve ever heard. The low end!!!!! ❤ And I love the sunburst. Great video JP per usual.
Wow, another great introduction, thank you JP for all that you do.
I LOVE this guitar. Being that I need smaller guitars, this oooh is what I'd love to have. It sounds fantastic and looks superb.
Beautiful tone
Holy smoker does that ever bite!!!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful hand made guitar with us. Sounds amazing. Appreciate it JP.
That is one of the nicest sounding guitars I've heard you play. I like the no nonsense approach to his style, plain but attention paid to quality. You can have all that fancy inlay, just give me a guitar that sounds great and this is certainly one. Great review as always. KaNext
Great review . . . very understated . . . sounds great . . .
Wow! Stunning, stunning instrument...geeze...
Nice work! Love the burst and the binding!
Thanks JP I just ordered a Dreadnought
J.P. Just did an impulse buy due to your recommended review! Krakat Dreadnought, rosewood,Sitka. Need to add to my Laravee,Martin,Blueridge...
Love your channel!
Keep on pickin and doing great acoustic git fiddle reviews!
Thanks Jason!
George built me a 000 in 2019. I requested it to be as closely spec’d after the 1937 Martin 000 as possible. Torrefied Adirondack top AND bracIng. It sounds like a very old guitar. Needless to say it is special. But it is not a Martin- it has its own huge warm Krakat sound. More importantly, George has become a friend who I bounce musical ideas off of routinely. Also, George is always willing to stand by his work and make a tweak on the guitar if it is something you desire. First class guy with first class service.
Rings like a bell
Often the guitars you play sound a lot alike. This one is pleasantly unique and beautiful
WOW GREAT GUITAR
beautiful - sounds wonderful JP....I will order one next year when i have extra $$.
That thing sounds amazing through my TV speakers!
Check the binding seam, it looks like it’s placed off centre of the heel cap by a lot.
Love it, absolutely amazing.
Beautiful guitar George! Keep up the great work! I had the pleasure on several occasions to build an instrument with Charles Fox at the American School of Lutherie and I know what goes into what you build. I’ll never regret taking those opportunities. I’m glad to see JP playing your instruments.
Great guitar....this is one of the best guitars showcased on this channel.
Sounds really beautiful JP.. :) Wow!
We want to see a Yamaha FG9 review!
Beautiful looking and sounding guitar. Awesome review👍
What a great sounding guitar
That is a mighty fine guitar!
played a new martin d 28 , The frets were so sharp you could cut cheese with it, What going on with martin did they hire some people from bud light to build their guitars or what?
Well , you had a good Krakat it .....
Hello J.P. Great video. Just wondering if you’ve ever played an Goguen guitar. By Gerry Goguen. He’s From around the Moncton area.Dan Maillet and Ray Léger have one of his guitars. I think. I’ve played his latest one. A dreadnought , torrified adirondack top. Not sure what kind of rosewood back&side. Currently owned by shane Douthwright. You might know him 🤷🏼♂️ . It sounded somewhat like my Boucher bg-52 but just bigger. Unbelievable guitar. Look him up next time your around here .Your right there out there. These small builders . Keep making videos like this .👍👍👍
Krakat released... it sounds good on my headphones. Wonder what it sounds like next to.... maybe a Yamaha L16?
That's a great sounding Guitar , I have a question does all the guitar playing affect your fiddle playing as far as building up calluses on you fingers ?
I want it
Thank you JP.
I want one. If only...
You mentioned your colour perception ability recently. I’m intrigued... May I ask if that means the colours are ‘brighter’ (literally/visually/different) on a well built guitar, especially one something special like this, or if the colour just represents the note, and it is, or isn’t the right colour?
Apologies if this is a stupid question.
Hello, everyone! Any acoustic guitar recommendations for beginning players on a budget (Say $500 or less)? I am thinking about wanting to learn to play the guitar and just been overwhelmed by the amount of guitars out there.
If you ever get a chance check out Silvan Guitars in Columbus, Ga. Frank Schley is the builder and I own OM-27. His 27th build. Check him out! Love the channel!!!!
Amazing guitar!! What thickness on the strings do you use?
Tnx
JP uses light gauge strings. Elixirs.
@@grinningfool34 Thank you
@@grinningfool34 so 0.11-0.52?
12-53, Elixir or D’addario XS.
@@abates226 Tnx. Great. Same as I use
Now I’m gonna be saying “Muppet moment” for the next week… 🤣
A beautiful guitar. One of the better looking sunburst I’ve seen in a while. Thanks JP.
plrese review the new Yamaha guitars
You have to play the new Yamaha
I love these videos! However the volume level of the intro montage is a lot louder than the rest of the video, and is hard on the ears for headphone users. If it's possible to make the intro quieter that would be awesome.
No man that's JP's signature
