    Unicorn spit colors are fun, I've never used them with eco powders, they're usually used for Dutch pour paintings. Good demonstration 😊

    It works quite well with resin, and with acrylics. A little goes a long, long way. Polyurethanes don't usually react to liquid anything very well. I have run across a resin dye that worked with the polyurethane, but it's so much safer to stick to powders.

      @@resinmeup Oh, so did I. I have messed with the clear type, the white and the black, and ruined molds, burned my hands, and had to throw out a bunch of supplies, because that stuff is PICKY!! I just don't use any fluid anything with it anymore. On the up side, you can get huge amounts of powdered tempura paints for very little, and they work quite well with both, and with eco pours. You do have to mix them in a bit more than with micas.

    Can you use the unicorn spit on the outside of the eco pours, after curing, as a paint/ stain. Let dry then seal. Use the unicorn spit with stencils and ombre effect. The spit is great for ombre effects on things!! Can you drip the unicorn spit in the mold before you pour in the marbled eco pour? The unicorn spit is an AMAZING product!! Do artwork on your wood fences that dance in the sun with sparkle and ombre effects.

    Mary, I was going to ask you I love them. I think they’re so pretty but can you put resin on them and make them glossy from getting a glossy look from the resin on them? Can you tell us that I think they’re beautiful I would love to get this product.

    • @resinmeup
      @resinmeup  2 місяці тому

      Cheryl, unfortunately resin wont stick to the eco pours, but if you want a gloss finish, they make a gloss glaze you can brush on eco after its completely dry. Lets Resin doesn't have one, but I know the mix 2 mold line has one for sure. Hope this helps🤗🥰

    That is really cool. I like both effects, the strong bold colour and the subtle colour. I looked at our Michael’s and of course Canada never has what the States does. I found them on Amazon but they want $207 for 6 bottles. That’s too steep for me.

    • @resinmeup
      @resinmeup  2 місяці тому

      @resinmeup  2 місяці тому +1

      Im sorry, I will be more diligent about looking up at my camera to check that more often. I get so involved in what Im doing, especially with time sensitive things like the magic pour, I don't look up. 😊

    • @mattersofthehartbynat8815
      @mattersofthehartbynat8815 2 місяці тому

      @@resinmeup None of it was completely off camera, so you could still tell what you were doing… it must be hard when you’re concentrating so much on what you’re doing!! I have seen a few artists who mark their silicone mat, in permanent marker, where they have to be to stay in shot; that way they don’t have to keep checking their camera… they just make 4 small lines, one on each side… maybe this would help you?
      And I love those pots Mary!! Thanks for sharing this discovery with us!! When you said it looks like rock, the first thing that popped into my head was Geodes… they have those ‘crater’ like surfaces filled with glitter stuff!
      Much love, Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

  • @Ali-H3444
    @Ali-H3444 2 місяці тому

    Because a lot of the pigment sits on top. I wonder if you mixed the colors in with a bit of the mixture and poured it like you would a marble effect? Or just mixed it in like you did on these? I hope I'm making sense 😂

    • @resinmeup
      @resinmeup  2 місяці тому +1

      Ali I know what you mean, time plays against you with the magic pour, but its possible. When I did the test pieces I used alot more unicorn spit, I really do think that's the key, when your mixing bigger batches, you need more spit, if that makes sense🥰🤗
