*Matt was in Harvard and had an assignment to write a 3 Act script. Matt only was able to hand in one and apologized to the professor. The professor ended up saying he loved it and encouraged Matt to finish it, which he did. This became the script of 'Good Will Hunting'. It was the encouragement of the teacher that made movie history!*

I thought I'd heard it all. But DID NOT KNOW the background of this classic epic scene that Robin Williams and Matt Damon do. Thank you so much!
I''m 47 now, not as young as Matt Damon was when he portrayed a person that age in this scene, but about his age. Anyhow, him and ESPICIALY Robin Williams addressing of it makes me wish that I had someone in my life to say "It's NOT YOUR fault" to things that WEREN'T my fault! I DON'T BELIEVE IN HOLLYWOOD MUCH BUT I NEEDED THIS SCENE...THANK YOU, ROBIN (RIP) AND MATT!!

I found that this movie is more about mental health than anything else. While it is on the surface level about him being a natural born mathematician, it is more about two survivors of abuse healing together from their past trauma. This movie is truly beautiful and I must confess that I cried multiple times throughout the film. Wonderful.

Its a really good movie on many levels. The irony that Williams played such a great therapist while having so many of his own daily battles within... its a shame he lost that battle just one of the days, which sadly is all it takes. Shows how fragile it all is in the first place.

First, you didn't capitalize the first letter of your fragment. Second, you used an apostrophe when there was no reason to use one. Third, you didn't put a period at the end of your "sentence" I could go on... It really is funny how many grammatical errors you can make when you only wrote two. TWO words lol, yet here we are. Just a little tip Bruce' if you are going to correct someone else's grammar, make sure you know how to write beyond a first grade level.

This is one of my favorite movies ever. Often times I'll go to the Wiki and read the "Critical Reception." Only 4 stars, critics called it "predictable." If this film only gets 4 stars, It must be damn hard to get 5 cuz this film is a masterpiece. Often times I see 1-2 stars from critics, but an 80-90% approval ratings from viewers. Sometimes these film guys take their jobs too seriously.

One of the most dramatic, relevant movies of our time. Matt and Robin tore up the screen. A total stand out film.
    Riveting at every moment.
Matt killed it. Robin slayed it. 💪🏼😆👍🏼
Robin in a dramatic role is always exceptional. Damon is simply a beast.
Never has two mega stars collided with such furry. The scene in their first session, is phenomenal. When Robin chokes Matt out, almost, I lost it.

It's more than just the story of a genius boy who's working as a janitor in a prestigious school instead of studying there. It has a lot of deeper stories within this film. It will really touch your heart (that is, if you have one, lol). I cried a lot while watching this, even after too. The storyline was great, the acting was incredible, especially with the delivery of their lines. Truly worthy of their awards. 👏

    Good Will Hunting turns 25!
    Made $225 million
Still one of my favorite dramas with the late Robin Williams, Matt Damon, and Minnie Driver
Won two Oscars for best original screenplay and best supporting actor
Stinks Damon and Driver had a real-life romance that ended badly
The movie succeeds so well due to a lively screenplay and fine performances all around, and it consistently delivers emotional payoffs
Damon is sensational and this is one of the most multifaceted performances of Williams' career
The viewer understands Hunting’s bitterness and pain hiding behind his witty persona
They can also appreciate Williams’ healing through humour, a bittersweet observation
There is a lot that grounds the film in the ’90s, starting with the ever-present fear of “selling out,” as well as a monologue from Will about geopolitics that seems straight from the work of Noam Chomsky
It helps too this refreshingly celebrated being bright - at a time in a when the dumbing down of America had been reflected in its cinematic fare
It explores the human condition as it reacts to emotional and psychological issues should always be highly valued
It also celebrates knowledge and emotion, showing how both can bring downfalls but can be powerful tools; its emphasis on psychology, trauma, emotion, and bonds will always be relevant

"it's not your fault": the best line in the cinema. It made the meltdown completely predictable, but relieving nonetheless... What's more profound is that even in such intense exchange, Williams kept the upper hand over Damon's intensity. Deep respect for that!

That is such a fabulous scene, it reminds me of the separation between grosse pointe Michigan and Detroit, personally I respect the people in Detroit more than grosse pointe for the reasons illustrated in that movie. Even though it's probably New York and New Jersey, same arrogance

This film made Ben Affleck a star to me....when he said that his 'on earth as it is in heaven' is the few moments between stopping his truck and walking to that front door....well, I live with spina bifida and after sitting upright or standing for more than 2 hours or so, back pain becomes back pain and burning and my 'on earth as it is in heaven' is the few moments of immense relief I have immediately after lying supine. What is your 'on earth as it is in heaven'?

    2da. Parte
En su libro, Which Lie Did I Tell?
