Too late. I’ve cried so many times when I sang this in my children’s choir
This was the first choir song that i didn't sing that made me cry, not out of sadness, but because of how beautiful this song is. i remember that day so clearly. i was in beginning girls choir, 6th grade. the intermediate girls were singing this, while i was watching and also waiting for our turn to perform. they sang the first note and it took my breath away. when the harmony split for the first time i started crying. and all of my friends in beginning girls choir were blown away as well. but this song has stuck with me. i will never forget that feeling i got the first time i listened to this. this song is so powerful. three years later i still get chills every time.
Actually, in the music, it says the oboe line is, "loosely based on a song she sang while in the refugee camp."

Sing-A-Mile-High was such a great memory. To this day, this is one of my favourite songs.

We just sang this song at Music in Making with 3 other choirs. Paul Caldwell came to the rehearsals to work with us. At the concert the next day, he directed us in cowboy boots standing on a table. My choral director was freaking out about the table breaking. It never did. And we sounded amazing.
My choir recently sang a wide range of Paul and Sean's music for a concert. Wonderful men. :) They came down and worked with us on the songs, then performed the songs with us. What an amazing experience!
The memories are coming back to me I miss singing with all these wonderful people. By the way I was from Crystal Children's Choir.

Sang this in a large honor choir in Dallas just this past Saturday. We sounded so good. Everyone was teary eyed by the end. So beautiful.

i just sang this for the New Orleans Crescent City Coral Festival and it was so awesome because my Director, Cheryl Dupont, got to host it.

My friend is singing this in her choir, I think they'll be singing it in New Orleans this year. She told me about this song so I had to look it up, and she's right; it's so pretty, but the lyrics are so sad. Beautiful song, these guys did a great job!
