I am delighted that so many have commented upon this wonderful song which I only discovered recently and what a find it is - a classic song. A really superb song. @daveheel Google is incorrect. I have the original album and Olivia is credited to writing this song. It's on the label. Although David Foster may have written the music, Olivia wrote the lyric. Olivia is credited to being a songwriter, she has written many many songs over the years and have recorded most of them.

great cd, but universal screwed up "livin' in desparate times"...the editing is flawed on the cd version. try comparing it with your vinyl or even cassette version...unfortunately, it's the same mix that appears on olivia's "gold" double cd
