Signal on the right: 4 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.
Pedestrian signal: a Siemens gate mechanism.
The southbound mixed freight was lined into Athens siding to meet a northbound, so after it came through, Zac and I walked over to Market Street to film it. After a bit of waiting, we caught this CSX Q514 passing through with a UP AC44CWCTE pulling and a UP SD70ACe and a UP AC44CW working as the mid-train DPUs.
After this, I was thankfully able to get all of us a couple of hotel rooms for the night here in Athens. Although we were only a couple of hours from our destination, it was getting rather late, we were getting tired, and there were storms in the area and along our route. While we probably could've made it all the way, given the combination of factors (plus our friends were driving a U-Haul with a car being towed on the rear), we didn't want to risk accidentally wrecking and making things worse.
As you can see, no major changes have occurred to this crossing since I last filmed it either. However, one of the gate lights on the far signal had gone out, so I wouldn't be too surprised to find-out it's since been replaced with a new NEG LED gate light.
