Good ethics in a zoo are important, I'm glad singapore zoo is one of them, I like to go to the bird park alone even if im 13 yr old I have a cockatoo friend in there he likes to play
Zoos that truly care for the animals and for conservation is hard to find! To all the naysayers saying these animals shouldn’t be used for entertainment etc. honestly if the animals don’t want to, they don’t have to do it. In fact I think it engages them even more. Even dog/cats are taught to do tricks
Wish they cld make more episodes on all d animals in d zoo n make it a series for us to watch. I think d children will ❤️ n enjoy dis segment. Many tnx to d dedicated staff for taking gd care of n loving d animals like their family members or friends. Keep up d 👍work n see u guys at Sg zoos!
"if they decide not to participate, they can disengage anytime". Can us humans do that? If say we don't want to participate in something that we feel that we are being force too? The answer is pretty clear. So don't blame us if we act like animals lol. It's either we suck thumb or you. If you know what I mean. For some reason, i feel the virtual connection with pedro🤣 if though we haven't met lol. He's very energetic.
@@s0me1usaw i spesk frm what i see. Once i visited the zoo. The chimps were made to stand with their hsnds up in thr air fr photos. We told them to let the chimps put their hands down. Its tiring. But the keepers said its discipline. We were so sad fr them. Besides they were made to greet and meet people fr photos. We reported to the zoos director thennmr harrison but got a less than satisfactory answer. I dont go to zoos. Its psthetic to see all the snimals. Elephants being loaded with children fr rides etc. Sad.
@@jessiejames7492 man. How long ago was that??? The chimps aren't forced to do that anymore, in fact the chimps aren't allowed out for interaction with guests ever since. If you have actually watched the entire series you would know how far zoos such as Singapore has changed. And if you actually worked in or studied wildlife conservation you'll know how pivotal these facilities are for wildlife.
You speak of conservation area like they exist magically. You can choose not to visit a zoo if you truly feel that way. However, my personal take it that it is a balancing act between driving them extinct and coming up with magical big ideas behind the keyboard.
Good and ethical Zoo actually plays a big part in conservation and education. It is unfortunate that we have come to the point when we have to rely on zoo to do so but I think at this point it’s unrealistic to say that zoo is 100% unnecessary. Of course there are also many unethical zoo around and for those i do hope they get shut down one day. As for conservation area it’s definitely a great place to study the animals but not everyone will be equipped or can afford to do so. In zoo, everyone even the young generation can learn about the animal. With education , hopefully it motivate them to care more about the environment and maybe in the near future we will not need zoo anymore. But for now I am happy that there are zoo like the sg zoo where tremendous effort are put into providing the best care for their animals exist.

Zoos are PRISONS! If you want to learn about animals go to a conservation area. Animals are not ours and they are NOT ENTERTAINMENT!!
