Thanks Román. Those hikers are crazy. One minor increase in the release of gases and they would have been sprayed with lava and hot debris. They would have been fried like the sausages.
Watching 2 tourists? staggering over the fresh lava fields on a livestream last night, taking photos with their phones. Looked like the girl fell, and might have hurt her hand. They were so close to the red lava, I had severe anxiety!

I am from The Netherlands and astonished by the undoing eruptions in Iceland, in the neighbourhood of Grindavik..
Is this third eruption also in the Reykjannes region..??
Till now each fisher eruption is looking spectacular..
I guess in other regions of Iceland there is some (ground) movement as well.. It can imagine that will be sure busy times for volcanologists and geologists..!!
I was in 2007 in Indonesia together with my wife and visited there the site of the 2006 eruption of Mount Merapi, one the most active volcanoes of Java and Indonesia.. It was cloudy, but you could see the shapes of the steep slopes of this stratovolcano..
This volcano is very dangerous due the less viscous lava, with a lot gasses, which gives explosive eruptions with pyroclastic flows..
In the time we went there the ground under my feet was still warm and you could even feel light tremors of activity in the lava channel of Mount Merapi..
So.., That was an experience to be hold..!!

I would appreciate more in-depth education about volcanoes in the context of the layers of the earth. What phenomena are we seeing in terms of the earth as a whole?
Other channels commenting on stupid tourists. It’s the rescue personnel I sympathize who will have to go out and save these fools.

With all the volcanic activity in Iceland, could it be that glacier melt is due to what is occurring beneath the ice more than the environment above it. The volcano’s really do look like global warming. Just a thought.

This is not video from the current eruption.
The are many clips from current eruption. But most are from last year eruption in same area. The ongoing eruption site is closed to public access. Hence I can't film it, no one can unless you are a scientist or have a special permit as an agent of major Icelandic newspaper.
