    The fact that the 'world' is connected through fiber cables that span under the ocean; and that it is very rarely spoken about. It's really a feat of mankind. We have fiber cable that span the ocean. In the corrosive environment of salt water.
    I am young working for an ISP, and locally it is in constant need for maintenance the structure is very fragile, and easily disrupted by mother nature.
    Your house issues and bad internet will back feed and cause issues in the neighborhood. They will seek out your house and disconnect you in order to maintain health of an area, and tech will fix 'your house problem' (upon your call) typically replacing cable and bad connections/modems will fix it.
    It's a huge job,and amongst the best in the world.
    How and the hell do they maintain these under water fiber cables !?.

    I know this years old, good well presented and detailed info,.
    I'll add in relation to costs resi V bus,, many business segments are separate from residential, reason being, also part of the high costs businesses pay (in addition to as mentioned SLA's that give faster restorations) are that they are on a 1:1 contention ratio, businesses do get what they pay for, where residential is typically 30:1 or if your lucky, 15:1 so your on a shared segment with 30 or 15 other home users, it's why home users pay only a small percentage of what businesses do for seemingly the same speed tier and data allowances.

    So if they turn off your internet from not paying the bill, is it possible to hack for free service ? Like cable for instance ? Just wondering if it’s a possibility not trying to attempt lol

    • @TechsavvyProductions
      @TechsavvyProductions  6 місяців тому +1

      It is possible but not advised, I would encourage that everyone pay their fair share of the cost to run the internet, it is wonderful resource and worth it.

      @@TechsavvyProductions right , I agree. And internet isn’t expensive, I just always wondered what component turns it on or off remotely and what component controls internet speeds .. is there a way to tweak a router to have higher speeds etc

    • @TechsavvyProductions
      @TechsavvyProductions  6 місяців тому

      Your ISP's data center and account management system controls speed and can disable/enable your access. Your router can be complex and incorrectly configured can slow down your internet, for example incorrectly configured QoS settings. Most folks setup the basic features and leave it alone, that's a good policy if you are not technical savvy about home routers.

    hi sir if i want make business like ISP can supply signal its about 40 to 50 km

    • @TechsavvyProductions
      @TechsavvyProductions  3 роки тому

      That is a great question, the only one who can answer that question is your internet provider who you are saying is about 40-50km away. You can make a business providing internet to others. Talk to others in your country who have successfully done this and get advise from them.
